Chapter 171: Cave on the Island
Chapter 171: Cave on the Island
"Take control of the two main propulsion systems under your feet as well. Let's see how much you can grasp on your first day of learning about mechs."
The woman patted Wang Si's sturdy thigh, signaling for him to place his feet on the pedals.
Wang Si nodded lightly and did as instructed.
However, as soon as he took control of the pedals, something unexpected happened.
While his hands displayed undeniable dexterity, his feet were another matter.
The moment Wang Si's feet pressed down on the pedals, the two thrust nozzles providing propulsion became misaligned.
This caused the mech to perform an extremely challenging "spiral" maneuver in mid-air.
The sudden rotation startled the woman, and the girl behind Wang Si in the cockpit let out a startled cry, clutching her heart as it pounded anxiously.
Her legs also locked around Wang Si's legs, making it even more difficult for him to control the direction.
"Steady, steady!!!"
The woman cried out, flustered and a little panicked.
Fortunately, their current altitude was high enough that if they had been any lower, an accident might have occurred.
After an extremely awkward and uncontrolled spin in the air for over a minute, the mech finally stabilized.
In the end, the woman reached out and lifted Wang Si's legs, taking control of the main propulsion systems herself to steady the mech's form.
While the mech had stopped spinning, Wang Si's heart was still pounding furiously in the cockpit.
"Let's call it a day with today's training," Wang Si suggested, his back soaked in cold sweat from the scare.
The woman nodded lightly, deactivating the mech mode and reverting the vehicle to its aircraft mode.
The control stick reappeared.
Wang Si grabbed hold of it and adjusted their direction to head back.
Currently, the two of them were hovering above the boundless sea. Due to Wang Si's earlier mishap, they were now not far from the border of the military zone.
It was a rare opportunity to be out on the sea, and staying in the high skies wasn't particularly interesting, so Wang Si deliberately lowered the mech's altitude to appreciate the sea from a closer distance.
Even though it was described as "closer," they were still over fifty meters above the water.
As they passed by a certain area of the sea, the woman suddenly spotted a small island and raised her eyebrows curiously.
"There's an uninhabited island over there, let's practice landing on it," she suggested.
At this point, Wang Si's control over the mech's flight was already quite competent. Since there was an island nearby, it would be a perfect opportunity for them to work on their landing skills.
If they had tried to practice landing back at the villa and something went wrong, it might have been disastrous.
Wang Si nodded lightly. It was indeed a rare sight to see an island out in the sea, and it would be nice to take a closer look.
Moreover, flying back from their current location would take at least an hour or two.
The previous harrowing experience had left him drenched in sweat, and now, with his back pressed against the person behind him, he felt uncomfortable.
So, a stopover at the island to get some fresh air seemed necessary.
…………
"It's okay, take your time. Line it up... there you go... whoosh."
The woman exhaled heavily and wiped the sweat from her temple.
Wang Si immediately unbuckled his seatbelt and jumped out of the cockpit.
He had felt suffocated in the confined space.
As he jumped out and landed, the solid feeling under his feet caused Wang Si's brain to momentarily dizzy from the prolonged flight.
"Flying for an extended period has caused your blood pressure to be a bit irregular. You'll be fine after a short rest," the woman explained as she nimbly jumped out of the mech and took a deep breath.
Once Wang Si's blood pressure returned to normal, he glanced in the woman's direction. As expected, due to the sweat on his back, her clothes were a little damp.
Wang Si nodded and then pointed to the other side of the island. "Why don't you rest over there? I'll go check out that side. When it's time to leave, just start up this mech, the island isn't that big, I'll be able to hear you."
Seeing Wang Si's unwavering decision to leave, the woman nodded lightly.
Once he was out of sight, she lowered her head to look at her chest, now damp with sweat, which she had been covering.
The light yellow shirt had become slightly transparent due to the moisture, but that wasn't the most important thing. What caught the eye was the black lace bra visible through the nearly transparent fabric.
Had she overdone it with her act?
As one of the elites handpicked by the mayor, she was not only capable of perfectly operating the mech but could also become a perfect "mech" herself, allowing others to control her.
But...
...
On the other side of the island, Wang Si, drenched in sweat, took off his sticky shirt.
The mech was indeed impressive, but as for the woman teaching him, Wang Si shook his head, choosing not to pass any judgment.
The cockpit had been unbearably stuffy, too cramped, and the seat too narrow.
Wang Si suspected that if not for the concern about accidents, there might have been some unsavory substances present in the confined space.
As he made his way to the back of the island, initially thinking it was deserted, Wang Si was surprised to spot a very rudimentary cave in the distance.
Hmm? Is there someone here?
He took out a clean shirt from his storage ring and put it on before walking over, filled with curiosity.
"Is anyone there? Hello?"
Wang Si called out twice, but the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks quickly drowned out his voice.
Reaching the cave, Wang Si's attention was immediately drawn to a fire pit and a rack near the entrance, and then to a curtain made of canvas inside the cave.
He crouched down next to the rack and examined the charcoal ash, reaching out to pinch a bit between his fingers. It was still warm! This meant someone had been here recently.
Wang Si stood up, alert and cautious.
Even though his soul power was only around level twenty, with the Million Thoughts Soul and Purple Extreme Demon Eyes, his spiritual power had reached the Spiritual Sea realm. He could project his spiritual power while also being highly sensitive to his surroundings.
On an island like this, despite the interference from the waves, he should have been able to sense if anyone was present.
He should leave this place immediately!
Without hesitation, Wang Si turned to leave, but before he did, his gaze was drawn once more to the canvas curtain.
Should he take a peek?
The answer came to him instantly, and without hesitation, he reached out and pulled the curtain aside. What he saw beyond it surprised him.
There was a bed about six feet wide and a little over two meters long, adorned with pink cartoon-patterned bedding.
The bedspread was casually tossed aside, suggesting that whoever lived here led a rather untidy life.
There was also a life-sized doll on the bed, along with some pink-colored...
"Handsome young man, you shouldn't just barge into a girl's room like this.
And you've seen my intimate apparel, so now you have to take responsibility for me..."
Before he knew it, a warm palm reached from behind and hooked around his neck.
