Chapter 1679: A War Without Victors
Chapter 1679: A War Without Victors
Before long, the vast Avalon was filled with the sour stench of love.
This was not surprising. Having just graduated from school, they had not yet been influenced by the negative social trends and still maintained a rather pure view of love.
Moreover, without the worry of their future hanging over their heads, everyone was open about their fantasies and desires for the opposite sex.
"So..." Albert asked with a smile to Sana at his side, "how many couples are eager to live together?"
"Five couples have signed up with me," Sana said softly. "They're the type who plan to get engaged after a while."
"At least they're smart," Albert nodded in satisfaction.
It might not be appropriate for regular couples to live together, but it's natural for unmarried couples to live together beforehand.
"What do you plan to do with the remaining villas?" Sana asked directly.
"Let's keep them for now. We can decide what to do with them after they get married," Albert stopped and turned to Sana, "Is there anyone who wants to move here?"
"Yes, Ginny asked me to help inquire," She told the truth.
"Ron? I don't mind, but I'm afraid others might not be happy," Albert looked back at the villas ahead, speaking meaningfully, "After all, Ron helped build Avalon. If he wants the same treatment, I suggest he finds a girl to marry."
"That guy seems to like Granger." When it came to this matter, Sana's expression became strange, "But, Granger seems to prefer someone else."
Her words were obviously implied.
"We won't interfere in emotional matters," Albert wasn't surprised that others had noticed Hermione's "admiration" for him, but so what?
He was already married, with a stable and happy marriage. As long as they maintained a good distance in public, no one would make any wild speculations.
"The rainy season is coming, so we can halt the outdoor work for now. Focus on renovating your own homes first. By the end of the year, you should be able to move in once the furniture is complete."
Albert knew that everyone had been waiting for this day for a long time, so he didn't plan on keeping them waiting any longer.
"I think they'll be very happy."
Looking at Albert's still empty villa, Sana suddenly asked, "But when do you plan to move in?"
"Probably after Avalon is completely finished. Only then can I bring little Alice over, she's still very young and can't handle the hassle," Albert would, of course, move in as well, otherwise, he would seem out of place.
As for whether he would stay or for how long was another matter.
Moreover, once things settled down here, Albert planned to take his entire family on a trip around the world.
"That's true." Sana could understand Albert's concerns but still reminded him, "However, it's better to finish the renovations in advance."
"There's no need to worry about that." Albert seemed to have thought of something. He waved his wand lightly and summoned a roll of parchment, which he handed to Sana, "These are the design blueprints for the interior of the villas. It seems we'll have to trouble our architect again."
"You don't mind if I lend these to the others, do you?" Sana took the roll of parchment and looked at Albert, who seemed speechless, a pleased smile forming on her lips.
"I think it would be more meaningful for the couples to discuss and decide on the design of their homes together," Albert recalled that many people had been talking about how to renovate their new homes.
"That can't be helped. They lack experience in this area, and even with references, they might still make a mess of things."
After touring the others' villas, Albert suddenly understood why Sana wanted everyone to copy his answers.
Otherwise, it would indeed be a waste of such beautiful villas.
"Why don't you find time to teach everyone a lesson sometime?" Sana suggested tentatively.
"Looks like that's the only way," Albert sighed helplessly.
Apart from Sana, who came from a Muggle family and had made her new home very cozy, the others seemed to have no sense of aesthetics at all. In fact, they had made a mess of their new homes, much like the template of Harry Potter's house, not knowing what kind of home they wanted.
Yes, they didn't know, or perhaps they didn't have a similar concept.
However, Albert also noticed that teaching them how to set up their new homes was probably the most foolish decision. Apart from those who planned to get engaged and were quite interested, hardly anyone wanted to listen. So, he had the architect make a few templates for them to choose from and directly copy and paste into their villas.
In Fred's words: it's a time-saving, effortless, and aesthetically pleasing solution.
"It's fine as long as you're happy with it," Albert said, not bothering to give any other comments. He looked at Harry, who was rarely present, and smiled, asking, "Kingsley finally let you take a break?"
"Yes, it's been tough finally rounding up Voldemort's remaining followers, but we can all breathe a sigh of relief now," Harry replied.
When it came to this matter, Harry's expression became complex, as he was clearly aware of the hidden secrets.
"That's politics for you. One day, if you become the Minister of Magic, you'll understand Kingsley's actions," Albert said, patting Harry's shoulder.
"If I can become the Minister of Magic, Percy will probably cry himself to sleep," Harry said with a helpless smile, gesturing to Albert in agreement.
As the two strolled along the outer path of Avalon, they lowered their voices to discuss Nelson and his group.
"I actually don't agree with what they're doing, but I don't think I have the right to stop them," Albert shook his head. "Everyone has the right to seek revenge."
"Kingsley said something similar," Harry said worriedly. "I'm not sure if I should give them that list."
"That's Kingsley's cunning," Albert said with a slight curl of his lips. "He's passing his troubles on to you."
Harry paused for a moment, then sighed heavily, understanding Albert's meaning, and left with a dejected look on his face.
"What did Harry want with you?"
Hermione raised an eyebrow, looking at Harry's departing figure.
After Albert briefly recounted the events of the previous period, Hermione fell silent.
"So, Kingsley wants to use Nelson and his group to get rid of the remaining Death Eaters," Hermione said, finding it hard to imagine that Kingsley would consider such a move.
"You could say he has no other choice," Albert said meaningfully. "If it weren't for Nelson and his group, Kingsley might have chosen to do a half-hearted job, just like he did during the First Wizarding War when he let those people off lightly."
"No wonder you hate politics so much," Hermione said, her expression complex.
