Chapter 165: The Possibility of Merging Multiple Bloodlines
Chapter 165: The Possibility of Merging Multiple Bloodlines
Ivan recalled the protective magic that Lily Potter had placed on Harry.
According to the Headmaster, it was the power of love!
Ivan's current magical knowledge could not explain how this power worked, but among the spells he knew, the Patronus Charm was the only one that transformed emotions into power.
However, Ivan could confirm that the pendant was definitely not made in the last one or two years. This was evident from the subtle wear on the metal.
Ivan's Alchemy knowledge told him that the Crescent Moon Pendant was made more than a decade ago!
Putting away the precious pendant, Ivan took out the Diary Horcrux from the depths of his wardrobe, sneaked out of the house without Aisia knowing, and found an open space nearby to cast a Silencing Charm.
It was almost midnight, and Knockturn Alley was eerily quiet, shrouded in a gray mist. The only light came from the moon in the sky.
Ivan adjusted his state, intending to destroy Voldemort's Horcrux.
Perhaps sensing something amiss, the Diary Horcrux began to flip through its pages on its own, with lines of ink gradually appearing.
"What's wrong, Hals? Why did you bring me here?"
Ivan smiled and wrote on the diary with a quill.
"Of course, to practice some magic. It's not very convenient at home!"
Ivan didn't have the habit of explaining things to his enemies before killing them; it was more in line with his expectations for them to die without understanding what happened.
Tom Riddle fell into a brief silence, finding no major flaws in Ivan's words, but he still felt something was off.
Especially with it being so late, was it really necessary to come out now to practice magic?
The words on the diary jumbled and reformed, the black ink reappearing on the white pages.
"Is that so? Then I'll stay here with you."
The Diary Horcrux remained open, the pages flipping on their own, looking quite eerie.
Ivan ignored it, sitting on a stone covered in weeds, placing the Diary Horcrux to the side, and activating the Ring of Fiendfyre.
At that moment, a System notification interrupted his action.
"Ding, System update complete. Please check immediately!"
Along with the notification, a large amount of update information flooded into his mind.
After sorting through the sudden influx of information, Ivan paused his attempt to destroy the Horcrux.
Because, in addition to the update, the System had issued a new task related to bloodline fusion, which coincidentally had some connection to Tom Riddle.
Task: Bloodline Mystery
Objective: Find a method to merge multiple bloodlines
Current Progress: 5%
Reward: 1 Legend Point
Task Description: After experiencing the significant power boost from the fusion ritual, you are not content with the current situation and continue to diligently search for more relevant information.
Note: Although merging multiple bloodlines carries higher risks, this is not an unsolvable problem.
Bloodline Mystery, huh? Ivan thought to himself as he looked at the new task in his task list.
This was the first time he had heard of the possibility of merging multiple bloodlines. Even in the records of *Origins of Bloodlines*, the documented Bloodline Families had only chosen to merge with one magical creature's bloodline.
Bloodline fusion itself was extremely risky, and merging multiple bloodlines would clearly be even more challenging!
Ivan wondered if the missing part of *Origins of Bloodlines* might contain the relevant information.
This was because when he first used bloodline magic, Voldemort instantly determined that it was not a bloodline awakening but a bloodline fusion.
After all, with the ability to control the Basilisk at will, obtaining blood would be simple for Tom. The ingredients for brewing potions would also not be a problem for him.
The only thing that could pose a slight obstacle for Tom was the difficulty of brewing the potion. A sixth-level mastery in potion-making is not yet that of a potions master, but it is certainly not something an average person could achieve.
The Basilisk's talents were likely related to death and the soul. Voldemort could maintain his sanity and grow stronger even as he repeatedly split his soul, possibly for this very reason.
*What's wrong? Aren't you going to practice magic?*
"Shatter!"
