There was still some time before the meeting was set to begin, but word of a duel had drawn experts from all fields to gather around.

"It's Chief Takahashi, the top authority in the field," someone quickly recognized. "Her opponent looks like a young girl. Does anyone know her?"
"I heard she's a new student at the Duel Academy."
"Huh? Really?"

The award-winning commentator, Mizawa, stood shoulder to shoulder with You Xuan.
"Your opponent is an authoritative expert, and they happen to have a similar deck to Tenjo. Are you sure you're up for this?"
"Being an expert only speaks to the strength of their research, not necessarily their dueling skills," You Xuan smiled. "And even if we're talking about research, we're not that far behind anymore, are we?"

"Don't worry, just watch." You Xuan patted Mizawa on the shoulder confidently. "I've got this."

Chief Takahashi nodded slightly. This Field Spell was also developed by their association, and it had the ability to search for key components from the deck.
"Then, I activate my Field Spell Card!"
As Asuka slotted her card into the Duel Disk, the field changed rapidly. A massive cathedral rose from the ground. Sunlight streamed through the stained glass, casting a kaleidoscopic array of light and shadow, while rose petals fell from above. On the ornately decorated altar lay a Bible and a crucifix.
"Blessed Church - Ritual Cathedral: You can discard 1 Magic card from your hand to add 1 Ritual Magic or a Light Attribute Ritual Monster from your deck to your hand."
Asuka discarded a card from her hand to the Graveyard and then searched her deck.
"I add 'Digitalization Angel - Benten' from my deck to my hand!" Asuka continued, "Then I activate the Magic Card, 'Ritual Preparation'! Add a Level 7 or lower Ritual Monster from your deck to your hand, then return the Ritual Magic Card in your Graveyard to your deck.
I add 'Digitalization Angel - Nasatemi', a Level 5 Ritual Monster, from my deck to my hand and return the 'Ritual of the Machine Angel' that I discarded to my deck!"
"Nasatemi?" Chief Takahashi was surprised.
There's a Digitalization Angel like this? How come I've never heard of it?
"Oh, we just finished this new card yesterday, so it might not be in the paper yet." Asuka showed the Ritual Monster she had searched from her deck. "I'm glad to have the opportunity to duel with you, Chief. Please give me your guidance."
Chief Takahashi was shocked: "You... You completed a brand-new card that even I've never heard of in just a few days?"
Even the experts from other fields who were watching found it unbelievable. They couldn't help but shoot suspicious glances at the students from the Duel Academy.

She revealed the two Ritual Monsters she had just searched for.
"I tribute 'Digitalization Angel - Benten', a Level 6 monster, for the Ritual Summon!"
Asuka raised her hand.
"O sacred angel who conceals healing powers within your radiant form, descend and bring forth your holy light! Come forth, Digitalization Angel - Nasatemi!!!"
Benten's figure transformed into a blazing inferno upon the altar, the flames expanding rapidly as sacred light burst forth. From the swirling crimson cloak emerged a four-eyed, golden-helmeted angel with the body of a beast and the wings of an eagle.

"A new Digitalization Angel has arrived," Takahashi acknowledged.
Having researched cards for so many years, he couldn't help but feel excited to witness the summoning of a new angel.
"However," he noted, "its attack is only 1000. Benten has an attack of 1600. Why use Benten as a tribute to summon this card?"
A slight smile played on Asuka's lips. "Digitalization Angel - Benten has a new effect. When used as a tribute, this card allows you to add an Angel or Light-Attribute monster from your deck to your hand."
Asuka searched her deck once more and revealed another Ritual Monster.
"I add 'Digitalization Angel - Vaitoben' to my hand."
"I see," Chief Takahashi nodded slowly. "So, Benten's new ability maximizes its value when used as a tribute."
"Now, I activate the effect of 'Digitalization Angel - Nasatemi'!" Asuka continued. "Once per turn, select a face-up monster on your field. Gain Life Points equal to half the original ATK of that monster. I choose 'Digitalization Angel - Nasatemi' and regain 500 LP!"

"A life-point recovering ability," Chief Takahashi mused, stroking his chin. "An unusual defense-oriented Digitalization Angel. Quite rare, indeed."
Asuka smiled gently, knowing that Nasatemi's abilities were far from ordinary.
But she kept this thought to herself.
"My turn is over."
"Then it's my turn to draw," Chief Takahashi said. "I activate the Magic Card, 'Angel's Alms', drawing three cards from my deck. Then, I discard two cards from my hand."
However, one of the discarded cards soon reappeared in his hand.
"One of the cards I discarded was the Magic Card, 'Compensation Notes', which allows me to draw two cards from my deck when sent from my hand to the Graveyard."
Chief Takahashi drew and then revealed three cards from his hand.
"Magic Card, 'Polymerization'! I fuse 'Blade Skater' and 'Digitalization Star' from my hand! Fusion Summon -
Digitalization Bladeskater!!!"
The skater and the star vanished within the fusion vortex, giving way to a slender figure gracefully gliding on ice blades. Her long hair flowed as she spun with agile elegance.

Asuka focused her attention, ready to face this challenge.
The Digitalization Bladeskater was a powerful fusion monster from her own deck, a familiar ace card.
"Now it's my turn, little sister from the Duel Academy," Chief Takahashi said. "Let me witness the true power of this new Digitalization Angel!"
