"This weapon is only passed down to those recognized by the Suonam Workshop—it’s a treasured artifact."

Chen Mo remembered clearly.

He obtained this Suonam Miying Sword back in Version 70. At the time, he first randomly obtained a Yilong Sword - Decision, which he successfully enhanced to +12. To push further toward Pink Glittering, he specifically purchased numerous +10 rare greatsword mats to use as enhancement sacrifices. This Suonam Miying Sword was among them.

In the end, his Yilong Sword - Decision failed to reach +13, but damned if this Suonam Miying Sword didn’t get enhanced to +13 instead! Since this sword carried the legacy of the Yilong Sword, Chen Mo couldn’t bear to sell it. He kept it all the way to Version 110. Never did he expect to rediscover it now!

“A Level 60 Version +13 rare greatsword? Holy hell, am I going crazy?!”

After his initial excitement, Chen Mo refocused on the game. A single thought consumed him now: create another character to see if reaching Level 10 would grant another inventory slot expansion.

Without hesitation, he created a new character.

Class: Ghost Knight (Red-Eye)

Level: 1

Nickname: 90s Kid Looking for a Guide

As the character creation completed, Chen Mo prepared to enter the game—when Wang Lei happened to glance over. Seeing Chen Mo had “lost his mind” and created yet another character, Wang Lei hurriedly spoke up.

“Old Mo, you know I only have one character, right? Why’re you making a new one? I’ve got no one to support you!”

“This one doesn’t need support—I’ll solo it!” Chen Mo replied with a faint smile.

“Solo it?”

Honestly, if anyone else had said this on their first day playing Dnf, Wang Lei would’ve smacked them. Who the hell did they think they were, claiming they could solo dungeons on Day One?

But this was Chen Mo—the Blue Man who’d just defeated the Zombie King alone. How could he argue?

“Er… Old Mo, even if you can do it, managing two characters is exhausting! Aren’t you worried you’ll collapse from overwork?”

Chen Mo: “…”

Though he knew Wang Lei meant well, Chen Mo found this amusing.

Two characters causing exhaustion? Wang Lei had no idea that in the future, people would juggle twenty characters without breaking a sweat. Before his “rebirth,” Chen Mo himself had maintained twenty-eight characters simultaneously—farming dungeons, grinding abyss maps, trading, Pvp, and even flipping items for profit. He still had time to grab a quick meal.

“Don’t worry. Two characters? I’ve got room for a few more!”

“What?!”

Seeing Chen Mo wasn’t joking, Wang Lei gave up. After all, everyone knew Chen Mo’s nickname was “Stubborn Hank.” No way he’d change his mind after just a few words.

“Fine, Old Mo. Good luck. I’m off to cool my temper with someone first!”

“Go ahead.”

With Wang Lei handled, Chen Mo dove into dungeon runs.

Lolan!

Deep within Lolan!

Gloomthicket!

Leveraging his experience leveling countless characters before, Chen Mo reached Level 10 in about an hour.

“System, I want to open the Newcomer Growth Package!”

“Sorry, level requirement not met. Unable to open Newcomer Growth Package. Please reach Level 30 first, host.”

Hearing the system’s cold response, Chen Mo shook his head in disappointment. He’d hoped for too much. If every Level-10 character could unlock an inventory slot, he’d have all 720 slots maxed out in days. Of course the system wouldn’t let him exploit such a bug!

“Sigh, still gotta work hard for cash…”

As he muttered to himself, a voice interrupted from behind.

“Bro Mo, I’m here! Where’s my cousin?”

Turning around, Chen Mo saw a yellow-haired, punk-styled youth grinning with a mouthful of big teeth. He looked seven-tenths like Wang Lei, dressed identically.

None other than the person Chen Mo had been waiting for—his beloved “Wang Teng!”

“Teng, you arrived quick! Your cousin went to ask for leave. He’ll join us later!” Seeing an old face again, Chen Mo felt genuinely delighted.

“Yeah, Bro Mo. I was nearby anyway. When I heard you called, I rushed right over!” Wang Teng’s eyes lit up. “Hey, Bro Mo, what’re we going out for? Gang fight? Should I bring backup?”

Chen Mo: “…”

“Fighting? I’m taking you two to National Strength Harmony for dinner!”

“National Strength Harmony? Bro Mo, you’re… treating us?” Wang Teng froze.

Not that he doubted Chen Mo’s generosity, but he knew Chen Mo earned only 600 yuan a month—barely enough for himself, let alone dining at National Strength Harmony where the average bill was hundreds!

“Don’t believe me, Teng?” Chen Mo teased.

“No, no, Bro Mo! I just mean, folks like us can barely afford National Strength Harmony. I’d be happy if you treated me to Lao Sun’s Lamb Soup!”

Chen Mo chuckled. “Don’t sell yourself short, Teng. Who says we can’t afford National Strength Harmony? Today, we’re eating there no matter what—even Jesus himself couldn’t stop me!”

Wang Teng: “Gulp!”

As Chen Mo calmed Wang Teng down, Wang Lei returned from taking leave.

“All set, Old Wang?” Chen Mo asked.

“Cleared three hours with Boss Chen!” Wang Lei nodded.

“Solid! Boss Chen’s a true pal. Let’s go!”

Chen Mo strode toward the internet cafe’s exit. Watching his back, Wang Teng whispered anxiously to his cousin,

“Old Lei, you know Bro Mo’s taking us to National Strength Harmony?”

“Yeah. So?”

“So? You’re not worried at all?”

Wang Lei smirked. “You know how much cash Old Mo’s sitting on?”

“How much?”

Wang Lei raised six fingers.

“Sixty?”

“Guess again!”

“Six hundred?!” Wang Teng’s expression shifted.

“Again!”

“Again? You mean…” Wang Teng froze.

“Exactly—six thousand! Still worried?”

Wang Lei sighed wistfully.

(Thank you to the readers for the 1000 coins tip! Big kiss!)
