Chapter 159: Strange Impact Sounds
Chapter 159: Strange Impact Sounds
"It was all that fat woman's idea, it has nothing to do with us!"
Noticing the murderous intent in Jiang Cheng's eyes, the man was so scared that he nearly wet himself.
"All that fat woman's idea?"
Jiang Cheng sneered.
"Is this the first time you've done something like this?"
The man's eyes immediately shifted away.
"What's that woman's name? Do you know where she lives? Who else is in her family?"
Hearing this series of questions, the man was initially stunned, then overjoyed.
Damn, it's all that fat woman's fault!
If not for her, they wouldn't have been found by this person.
"I know! I know!"
He nodded hurriedly, "If I tell you, will you let us go?"
"Hmm?"
Jiang Cheng's eyes turned cold.
"I'll tell you, I'll tell you!"
The man was both fearful and resentful, "That fat woman is named Zhang Hong. She lives in Building 3, Unit 302 of the Embroidered Garden Complex. She has a son."
"Oh? How old is her son? What does he do? Do they live together?"
"No."
The man gritted his teeth, "Her son is the manager of the Oaken Club, and he has a lot of power. The women we capture are all sent to him. Most of the money goes to that fat woman, and my brother and I only get a bit of hard-earned money."
"Oaken Club."
Jiang Cheng mumbled the name.
"Yes, the Oaken Club is one of the most luxurious clubs in the Outer Borough. It costs at least several thousand to tens of thousands to go in there once."
"The people you send in, they must be in a terrible situation, right?"
"How could that be?"
The man smiled sycophantically, "They eat and drink well in the club, much better than living at home. Many people want to go in, but they can't even get in."
"Is that so?"
Jiang Cheng wanted to pull the trigger and execute him on the spot.
Is it really about eating and drinking well?
Probably only death would allow them to leave.
"Sir, I've told you everything I know. This matter has nothing to do with us. You should find that fat woman. It was all her idea!"
The man said resentfully.
Jiang Cheng slapped him unconscious.
Then he woke up the other man who had been knocked out earlier.
"You damn! Sir, spare my life, spare my life."
In less than two seconds, the man's expression shifted smoothly from furious to pleading.
"Repeat what you and the red-haired woman talked about earlier. Your companion has already told me. If your story doesn't match his, I'll shoot and break one of your legs." Jiang Cheng's face was expressionless.
The man glanced at his brother on the ground, feeling bitter inside.
Daring not to hide anything, he answered all of Jiang Cheng's questions, which were largely consistent with what the previous man had said.
"Sir, all of this was that fat woman's doing. We didn't want to cooperate with her, but her son has connections, and we dared not offend him. Sir, please, spare us."
"If I let you go, what if you continue to harm others?"
"No, no," the man seemed to see a glimmer of hope, "I swear to the heavens, if I ever harm anyone again, may I be struck by lightning and die a terrible death!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Jiang Cheng grabbed his head and slammed it into the ground.
"Thud! Thud! Thud!"
The dull impact sounds were accompanied by bone-chilling cracking sounds.
The man's half-skull caved in, his eyes wide open.
"Instead of letting the heavens strike you dead, I'll do it myself."
Jiang Cheng spoke as he walked over to another man and repeated the same actions.
It wasn't that he didn't want to use bullets to execute the two men.
But the rules of the Dawn Society were clear.
He was supposed to avoid using even stick techniques if possible.
Of course, if he were discovered, he had his reasons. After all, these people were going to harm his family; he couldn't pretend nothing had happened, could he?
After dealing with the two men, Jiang Cheng circled the room again to check for any other potential threats.
He was mainly looking for any other hidden individuals.
As for money, he had already searched the two men earlier, and they only had a few dozen yuan, which wasn't worth his attention.
Just then, a banging sound came from inside the room, as if someone was knocking on a door.
Jiang Cheng was startled and gripped his handgun tightly, listening intently.
After circling around, he realized the sound seemed to be coming from the bedroom on the east side.
However, there was only one door in the bedroom, and it was locked.
Jiang Cheng quietly approached the door and listened. After a while, he realized the sound was coming from behind a cabinet.
He carefully opened the cabinet door and was surprised to find another door inside, locked with a padlock.
The door was shaking, and banging sounds came from behind it.
"Is anyone in there?"
Jiang Cheng asked repeatedly, and the banging stopped. Sobbing sounds followed, as if someone inside had their mouth covered and couldn't speak.
Jiang Cheng took a deep breath and had a hunch about what was happening.
He walked back to the two men's bodies and took a set of keys from one of them.
After trying several keys, he finally found the right one to unlock the padlock.
"Click!"
The lock opened with a soft sound.
Jiang Cheng threw away the lock, took a few steps back, and slowly opened the door. A putrid smell assaulted his senses, even through his mask.
It was a complex and indescribable stench.
But what he saw next sent a chill down his spine.
Two naked women stood behind the door, staring at him. They made whimpering sounds, their eyes overflowing with tears.
Their mouths were stuffed with cloth, their hands bound behind their backs, and their feet shackled.
Despite their nakedness, there was no beauty in their emaciated bodies, reduced to mere skin and bones.
At this point, it became clear who these women were.
They must have been abducted and imprisoned in this dark basement, used as tools for sexual gratification.
Jiang Cheng felt a sense of relief.
Fortunately, after killing the two men, he had searched the room and discovered these women. They were smart to make noise by banging on the door; otherwise, unless he became a Mind Master, he might never have found them.
"Wuuu, wuuu."
The two women, adjusting to the outside light, knelt down and began to kowtow to Jiang Cheng, banging their heads so hard that they bled, unaware of their own actions.
"Get up. I just happened to save you,"
Jiang Cheng gestured for them to stop and removed the cloth from their mouths.
"Thank you! Thank you!"
The two women burst into tears.
They had believed they would never see the light of day again, thinking they might die in this basement one day.
But they never expected that in their moment of despair, hope would arrive.
"Quickly, get up. I'll unlock your handcuffs and shackles. Do you remember where your homes are?"
The two women nodded repeatedly.
They couldn't wait to return to their families.
