"So, you've made your way here. Young Uchiha, full of ambition, seeking greater power and vengeance for your clan. Step forward, and I shall grant you your desires."
The Nine-Tails' tempting words were abruptly cut short.
A slender palm clamped down over its mouth, silencing it.
Uchiha Quan's expression turned cold as she interrupted, "Nine-Tails, I remember you well from that fateful night."
On the night of the Nine-Tails' rampage, Uchiha Quan had witnessed the tragic deaths of countless friends and family at the beast's hands.
She felt nothing but contempt for the monster before her and had no interest in hearing its words.
"My mother also died that night!"
Uchiha Sasuke joined in, his hand reaching out to forcefully cover the fox's mouth, his intent to kill evident.
The night of the Nine-Tails' rampage had not only resulted in heavy casualties among the Leaf Village's residents but had also reduced much of the Uchiha clan's land in the center of the village to rubble, with unimaginable losses.
Sasuke had been an infant back then, cradled in Uchiha Itachi's arms, and had no memories of that night.
But that did not diminish his shared hatred.
Sasuke glanced at the bewildered Naruto beside him and spoke, "Tailed beasts cannot die. The best punishment is to seal them within a Jinchuriki forever, never to see the light of day again."
Upon finishing, Sasuke also extended his palm, pressing it against the frothing fox's mouth.
"Evil Uchiha."
The enraged Nine-Tails was unable to utter a word.
Sasuke, Uchiha Quan, and Uchiha Tao gripped their palms tightly.
Bang!
The giant fox's head in front of them instantly turned into foam and disintegrated.
In the blink of an eye, everyone present vanished from the scene.
Outside, Sasuke and the others retracted their gazes.
Just then, Yamato's wood release technique finally arrived, albeit a little late, as the rampaging tailed beast chakra had already been completely recovered and sealed within Naruto's body.

Countless trees sprang from the ground, though neither the range nor the power could compare to the Wood Style: Deep Forest Emergence technique.
Nonetheless, it was more than enough to encompass the entire battlefield.
Out of caution for the wood-style jutsu, Sasuke and the others immediately retreated beyond the range of the Wood Ocean Birth technique.
Seizing the opportunity, Yamato signaled for the group to quickly evacuate.
"Sasuke..."
Naruto wanted to say something, but seeing Ibiki unconscious, Ino injured, and Sai exhausted, he lowered his head. He knew that their side was not strong enough, and so he silently acquiesced to Yamato's decision. Together with Sakura, he took one last look at Sasuke, who was now completely obscured by the ever-growing vines and trees, until he could no longer see him.
"Training! I need to train even harder!"
Naruto clenched his fists.
He had thought that after two years of arduous training with Jiraiya, he would be able to handle anything.
But now, it seemed that it was still not enough.
Sakura felt the same way.
As Tsunade's disciple, she had not only honed her medical ninjutsu and super strength but had also been practicing the Mystical Palm Technique during these two years, though she had not yet mastered it.
"When we get back, we must train even harder! I never want to experience the helplessness of having Sasuke so close yet so out of reach again.
Upon seeing that the forest had completely blocked their path, Uchiha Quan asked if they should give chase. But Hayake shook his head, indicating that they needed to press on. He then sheathed his ninja sword and, after a calm glance in the direction of Naruto and Sakura, turned and left with the others.
As they continued on their journey, Uchiha Quan suddenly brought up a topic.
"Sasuke, was that girl Sakura the one you like?"
Crunch.
The question came so suddenly that Sasuke nearly lost his footing, the branch beneath him cracking. If not for his quick reaction, he would have fallen.
Upon hearing this, Uchiha Quan looked like he had discovered a new continent, turning back with a look of fresh curiosity on his face. With great interest, he probed further, "Eh? Sasuke, do you actually have someone you like?"
Seeing the usually cool Sasuke flustered was a rare sight.
Quickly regaining his composure, Sasuke hastily denied it, "No! I don't like any girls!"
"Is that so? But I just saw how much that girl Sakura likes you." Uchiha Quan blinked and teased.
"I don't need a woman!" Sasuke replied as quickly as he could, firmly expressing his stance.
"You're absolutely right. Sasuke, you don't need a woman at this stage." Hayake interjected at this point, then abruptly changed the subject, "But, when you're a few years older, you will. Sasuke, I'll introduce you to someone then."
"I don't have many people close to me, but I do have a lot of younger sisters!"
Hayake sounded proud of this fact.
Sasuke: "..."
Uchiha Quan: "So, Sasuke will become my brother-in-law!"
Uchiha Quan: "Sasuke is so outstanding; he can have a few more!"
Feeling that if this continued, he would be teased to death by these adults, Sasuke quickly changed the subject, "Captain, Quan, Xiao, do you know where the new Lock Front Village will be located?"
Hayake and Uchiha Quan indicated that they did not know, and they wanted to continue with the previous topic, pushing Sasuke to become even more closely related to them.
Realizing Sasuke's embarrassment, Uchiha Quan stopped "teasing" him and answered the question, "If nothing unexpected happens, it should be in the Country of Waves."
"Country of Waves?" Sasuke's expression changed slightly.
Hayake and Uchiha Quan shifted their attention, looking at Uchiha Quan with puzzled expressions.
"Country of Waves? I've never heard of it. What kind of country is that?"
"Xiao, how do you know this?"
Only a handful of top-level people knew where the new village would be located.
Normally, Xiao shouldn't have known about it.
Uchiha Quan explained, "Once, in Captain Hayake's office, I accidentally overheard Captain Hayake mention that the new Lock Front Village would be set up in the Country of Waves."
"Once?"
"Captain Hayake?"
"Office?"
Hayake and Uchiha Quan looked as if they had heard something incredible, their eyes narrowing as they fixed their gazes on Uchiha Quan.
Even Sasuke was now curious and looked at Uchiha Quan, asking, "Xiao, why were you in Captain Hayake's office?"
Hayake and Uchiha Quan immediately followed up.
"Once or multiple times?"
"Was it intentional or accidental?"
"Were there any other people?"
"How far has it progressed?"
"Xiao, do you want me to call you 'Captain' too?"

The smile on Uchiha Quan's face froze.
It was a perfectly normal response.
How did she suddenly become the one being "watched"?
