Chapter 153: The Story Begins
Chapter 153: The Story Begins
The sky was about to fall!
This was Thor's first thought when he woke up this morning.
When the first rays of sunlight illuminated the drunken crowd in the banquet hall, Thor awoke from the lingering effects of a hangover. He was drenched in alcohol, his clothes disheveled, and he was holding Loki in his arms.
After Sif stormed off the previous day, Thor and Loki had a drinking spree. They felt it wasn't enough and brought in a few more barrels of ale, drinking until they were both in a daze, collapsing alongside the other drunkards.
It was nothing unusual for brothers to end up in such a state together. Even if they were hugging or even embracing each other, it wouldn't be surprising.
But when Loki woke up, he looked at Thor with a complex mix of nostalgia, joy, regret, and sadness, and said, "Brother, I've missed you so much."
By the gods, Loki actually said he missed him! They had always been together, and he called him "brother"! Although he had called him that before, it was always with a sarcastic tone, adding "dear" or "honored" as a modifier.
But this time, he called him "brother" straightforwardly, not to coax him into some dangerous place or to do something rebellious that would earn their father's wrath.
"Are you sick, or have you been poisoned?"
Thor fumbled to help Loki up, feeling his forehead. "Or has the alcohol scrambled your brain? Maybe some kind of magic? I'll take you to Father to see!"
"No, brother, I just miss you."
Loki hugged Thor, his eyes softening.
This was the second time he called him "brother" without sarcasm!
Thor took a step back, startled. "You know, we haven't gotten along this harmoniously in a long time. Remember when you turned into a snake at eight years old?"
"Because you like snakes."
"Yes, yes, I do. I picked you up and played with you, and you suddenly changed back, saying, 'Hey, surprise!' and then you hit me in the kidneys." Thor spoke quickly.
"Ever since then, you haven't been this... intimate with me."
"I'm sorry, I was wrong."
Loki looked apologetic, lowering his head in acknowledgment.
Thor's eyes widened. Hearing Loki admit his mistake felt like facing the energy surge from the Bifrost, making him feel as if the sky was about to fall.
"Finished, finished, my brother, I will cure you. We'll see Father right now!"
He clenched his right hand, and Mjolnir flew from the table into his grasp. He spun it rapidly, ready to fly to Odin's chambers.
"No, no, I'm fine, brother. And someone is about to come see you."
Loki smiled, his lips curling up.
"About to? How soon?"
Thor slowed his movements. "How soon is 'about to'?"
Loki's condition couldn't be delayed!
"3, 2, 1."
"Thor!"
A sweet female voice called out, and Thor looked up.
Sif was dressed in an outfit he had never seen before. It wasn't the usual Asgardian armor or silk, but a black, unknown fabric with a clean and simple design. Her pants were a different, sturdy blue material, fitting her closely. She had a brown silk scarf around her neck, looking both sophisticated and elegant.
Thor: (●''●)
What was going on?
...
One hour earlier.
"Give me a reason why I should help you."
Luk leaned against the doorframe, pulling out a pack of cigarettes and lighting one expertly.
"I'll give you anything you want, as long as I have it!"
Sif stood with her sword, her gaze resolute. Noticing Luk's eyes lingering on her chest, she quickly stepped back.
"That's absolutely out of the question. I only sleep with people I like."
Luk: (`~)
He was just admiring her gear! Unlike the female warriors from last night, Sif's equipment was clearly of higher quality, with intricate craftsmanship and a magical aura. He wanted to study it to see if he could replicate it.
"Really?" He was curious about Sif's level of purity, letting his succubus charm fade, his voice becoming magnetic.
"I'm not unattractive, and I'm pretty good in every way. Don't you want to try? No strings attached."
"No."
Sif answered quickly, showing her determination to pursue Thor alone.
Luk noticed that she had barely changed, only glancing at his face, chest, and waist a couple of times.
After overlapping several worlds, especially with the addition of Luk, who had a stunning appearance, he rarely fully unleashed his succubus charm in front of others. Yet, Sif had only shown this much reaction.
This was the purest love chapter yet!
Luk was almost moved to tears, reining in his charm. "I didn't expect you to be a pure love enthusiast like me."
"Wait, you're a pure love enthusiast? Skadi and her sisters are still in your room."
Sif's face turned green, looking at Luk with disdain. She had heard all sorts of noises throughout the night, with different female voices.
Luk looked serious. "My love is for the Nine Realms. In other words, as long as a woman from the Nine Realms and I are in love, it counts as pure love."
Sif was speechless, hearing someone justify being a playboy in such a grand and lofty manner. She gritted her teeth, willing to sacrifice her dignity for love.
"Since we're both pure love enthusiasts, can you help me win Thor's heart?"
"But I refuse."
Luk shook his head. "Even though we're on the same side, Luk only helps Luk. I won't do anything without a benefit."
“Are you saying I’m not up to it?”
“Not up to it? Who are you talking about?”
Luk was almost ready to jump out of his skin. Did Sif think he was only good at attracting women because of his boosted charm value?
In his previous life, he was a max-level theoretical love expert, a hardcore galgame player, and a collector of all the CGs!
How dare Sif question his unique understanding of love!
“Helping you is fine. With me, the top love expert, supporting you from behind, you’ll win Thor’s heart in two days for sure!”
Sif’s eyes lit up. She could doubt the sweet words of a scumbag, but she had to trust his understanding of love.
“Anyway, take off your clothes first.”
Sif: (¬_¬)
Luk took out a set of Earth-produced women's clothing from his spatial magic storage. “I meant for you to change clothes.”
Don’t say it in such a perverted way!
Sif snatched the clothes with a fierce expression, studying the style while asking suspiciously, “Why do you carry women’s clothes with you?”
“These are leftovers from when Natasha and I played cosplay, the bad student and the female teacher scenario….”
“Stop, I don’t want to hear your dirty talk!”
Sif held her forehead, feeling her inner self gradually turning yellow. She was ashamed that she could understand the implications of just a few words, which didn’t fit her identity as an Asgardian warrior.
“Do you have any new clothes?”
“Yes, on Earth, or as you would say, Midgard.”
“Then forget it, I’ll make do with these.”
After borrowing Luk’s chambers to change, Sif awkwardly touched the unique fabric. “Midgardian clothes have a nice style.”
Compared to the limited styles in Asgard, Earth’s fashion was indeed more appealing. The neat and stylish outfits accentuated Sif’s graceful figure, and the jeans highlighted her long, shapely legs.
Luk moved his fingers, and a water curtain appeared in front of Sif, reflecting her image.
“Will Thor like this style?”
Sif asked hesitantly.
“Trust me, he likes smart and wise women.” Luk confidently patted his chest, remembering that Jane Foster was a doctor, which fit the original aesthetic standards.
There was only one question left.
“Sif, show me a more intelligent look.”
Sif frowned, thinking, “What do you mean by more intelligent?”
“Yes, exactly, keep that look!”
Luk nodded in satisfaction. “All you need to do now is go straight to Thor and tell him you like him, the way Frigga likes Odin.”
“How can I just come out and say it right away!”
Sif’s face changed, starting to doubt the scumbag’s advice.
“Trust me, in movies, love often fails because of too much hesitation and vague words. Being straightforward is the key. Once you break the ice, you’ll get the answer you want!”
Luk earnestly advised Sif, patting her shoulder. “Go for it, you’re the best!”
“What if I fail?”
Luk gave a mysterious smile. “I have a backup plan.”
In two days, he would return to Midgard. If Sif couldn’t handle it, it wasn’t his problem.
The free service ends here.
…
“Thor.”
Sif slowly approached Thor and Loki, her face a bit unnatural.
“Hey, Sif, you look great in those clothes. I’ve never seen you wear anything like that before.”
Thor was a bit surprised at Sif’s outfit. “But they’re a bit thin and don’t offer much protection.”
“I agree.”
As a warrior, Sif nodded. “Midgardian clothes look good but lack practicality. They can’t withstand swords and knives.”
“Midgardian clothes?”
Thor frowned, disapproving. “Sif, did you go to Luk’s place last night?”
He had noticed that Luk sometimes had many female warriors, which clearly wasn’t a stable relationship. Although he considered Sif a brother, he also understood that Sif was a woman.
Sif was a bit hesitant about whether to deny it. She had indeed gone to Luk’s place but didn’t go inside.
“Yes.”
“Listen, Luk is an excellent warrior… uh… mage, and can be a good friend, but definitely not a good partner. You can find someone else, Sif.”
Sif’s face lit up. “Would you be very angry if I were with Luk?”
“Of course!”
Thor nodded seriously. How could one of his brothers be with another brother? It felt too strange.
“I won’t be with him. The person I like is you, Thor.”
Sif nervously blurted out her feelings, but saw a look of confusion on Thor’s face, not surprise, joy, or shyness.
“Sif, you’re already one of the Warriors Three. Why do you want to join again?”
Sif: ???
Loki, who had been silent, suddenly looked embarrassed.
“Sorry, I forgot about my previous love advice to Thor.”
He sighed, giving an apologetic smile. “It’s okay, let’s try again.”
Loki extended his right hand, touching his thumb and middle finger together.
Snap!
An endless green light enveloped everything.
…
Luk was bewildered to find himself back at the door of his chambers, with Sif in her armor in front of him.
“I need your help again.”
What the heck is going on? How do I deal with this?
Loki: Young man, would you like an apple?
