Two cards from his hand slid into the Graveyard on the Duel Disk. He then played four cards from his hand all at once.
"I summon a monster in attack position and set three cards face-down. End turn."
President Shimizu frowned slightly. Instead of taking the offensive, his opponent was setting up defenses.
Was this the pitfall-centric tactic that he had heard about?
But it didn't matter.
So what if there were a few pitfalls? He would crush them with his burning passion for the club!
"My turn! Draw!" President Shimizu declared. "I activate the quick-play spell card 'Dust Tornado' to destroy the face-down card in the center of your back row!"
"Then I'll activate my face-down card in response," You Xuan said. "Quick-play spell, 'Scapegoat'!
Special Summon four 'Sheep Tokens' to my field!"

"A magic card to solidify your defenses," President Shimizu observed.
With four Sheep Tokens on the field, it wouldn't be easy to break through this defensive formation.
"Then I'll start by flipping my set monster, 'Demon Tamer'!" President Shimizu declared.
A lovely woman with cascading blue hair appeared on the field, wearing a navel-baring outfit that accentuated her slender waist and long legs. She held a pair of thigh-high boots and a whip that hinted at intriguing possibilities.

"Activating the magic card 'Upgrade Transformation,' sending my monster on the field to the graveyard, and special summoning from my deck a monster with the same race and attribute but one level higher!"
President Shimizu slapped down a Warrior-type monster he had searched from his deck.

"For the sake of protecting the domain of the beautiful girls, I will not hesitate to borrow the power of others," the president declared, "Our bond with the sprite maidens will not be severed over such a trivial matter!"
You Xuan nodded in understanding.
Indeed, such a convenient bond explains why your club is being disbanded.
"I activate the field magic card 'Sky Sanctuary'!"
As the magic card was placed in the field zone, the environment underwent a transformation. A temple bathed in holy light emerged from the clouds, and the domain of sacred angels dominated the entire field.
"With this, the arena of our duel is now dominated by the sacred domain of angels!"
President Shimizu continued, drawing another card from his hand.
"Next, I'll offer up 'Jella's Warrior' on the field as a tribute! A sacred warrior ascends to the Sky Sanctuary, and in its place, a mighty archangel descends—
—Archangel Jera, descend!!!"
A dazzling holy light descended from the sanctuary, enveloping the green-armored warrior. Within the radiant light, the warrior evolved, gaining shimmering wings and wielding a shining blade as it descended!

The members of the Meika Research Club began to cheer and shout encouragements.
