Chapter 149: What Do You Think of This Identity Setting?
Chapter 149: What Do You Think of This Identity Setting?
With this discovery, Walker finally settled down and listened to Ivan’s lecture seriously, occasionally experimenting with the Spell knowledge Ivan told him.
He became even more impressed with Ivan, feeling that the professors at Durmstrang Institute were not as good as Ivan.
At least, Ivan could significantly enhance his Spell power in a short time, something he had never experienced in his classes at school.
However, Walker did not have the System’s assistance like Ivan did. Even though he knew what to do, he still needed extensive practice to master it.
Ivan watched as Walker enthusiastically began practicing the Spell over and over again and smiled.
This time, Ivan’s special instruction was also partly out of a sense of compensation.
After all, over the past two days, Ivan had used the effects of the Wolfsbane Potion to analyze Walker’s body structure in both Werewolf and wizard states using Magic Power.
Not only did this greatly increase his proficiency in the Transfiguration Spell, but it also confirmed that the Werewolf form was a special type of Animagus.
Just like when he used Magic Power to analyze Scabbers, Walker’s brain was also protected by Magic Power in his Werewolf state.
The only difference was that Walker’s entire body was infused with Magic Power, as if it had been activated, significantly enhancing all his bodily functions.
This reminded Ivan of the time in the Forbidden Forest when he saw the fast-running tabby cat and wondered if Professor Mcgonagall could also achieve a similar enhancement in her Animagus form.
However, since Ivan had not even learned Animagus transformation yet, thinking about it was pointless for now.
Considering that today was the day he had agreed to go to the Ministry of Magic with Douglas, Ivan turned to Walker and said,
"Let’s stop here for today. Practice on your own over the next few days. When you have free time, I’ll come back to teach you the techniques for casting Protego and Splitting Charm.
Once you can control the power of the Spells freely, you can start learning the Blazing Explosion Spell."
"Are you really willing to teach me such a powerful Spell?" Walker, who was practicing the Spells, said, sounding somewhat incredulous.
Although Ivan had promised this before, Walker thought it was just a polite excuse.
"Of course, if you can meet my requirements", Ivan nodded indifferently.
In fact, the Blazing Explosion Spell was not that rare. In the original timeline, Hermione and Harry had cast this Spell in their seventh year, and its power was average.
It couldn’t even destroy an entire street like Peter Pettigrew did, let alone a section of a wall.
As he had said before, the actual power of a Spell varied from person to person.
The most important thing was that the standard he set was not easy to achieve. Walker would need at least one to two years to control the power of the Spells freely.
By then, even if Walker mastered the Blazing Explosion Spell, it wouldn’t pose any real threat to Ivan.
Walker didn’t know this, and he was so excited that he almost jumped for joy, imagining himself casting a Spell that would make his enemies tremble in fear. He practiced even harder.
Ivan found it amusing. If all the Werewolves were as easy to deal with as Walker, his mission would be completed in a few days.
After making the promise, Ivan didn’t stay there any longer and returned home directly.
After lunch, Ivan finally waited for Douglas to arrive.
After two days, Douglas had already transformed into a completely different person. He was dressed in a black wizard robe with gold trim, his figure straight and his scruffy beard shaved off, leaving no trace of his former disheveled appearance.
What surprised Ivan the most was that Douglas's thinning hair had grown back in just two days, neatly combed back with hair oil.
"Did you drink a hair growth Potion?" Ivan said with a peculiar expression. However, it didn't seem to be a permanent solution, or else Douglas wouldn't have waited until today to use it.
Douglas shot him a fierce glare, thinking to himself that it was better to keep it a secret rather than say it out loud.
Then, Douglas gave Ivan a once-over, noting that he was wearing a simple wizard robe. He asked, puzzled, "Didn't I tell you to dress up nicely? Are you wearing this?"
"Is it not good? I think this outfit is fine. Are we going to a banquet or something?" Ivan raised an eyebrow.
"Of course not", Douglas shook his head.
"Then that's settled. We are poor wizards from Knockturn Alley, struggling with our finances but still concerned about the future of the wizarding World. We have dedicated years to researching in Knockturn Alley, aiming to solve the problem of Werewolf rampages."
Ivan spoke confidently, leaving Douglas speechless. Finally, he managed to ask, "What do you think of this poor genius identity?"
Douglas was completely baffled and took a while to catch up with Ivan's imagination, hesitating whether he should also change into old clothes.
Seeing Douglas's bewildered expression, Ivan smiled to himself. Since this guy liked to imagine things, he might as well let him continue.
Just as Ivan was feeling smug, he suddenly felt a chill behind him. Turning around, he saw Aisia with a scowl on her face.
"I don't remember when we ever had financial difficulties", Aisia said, pinching Ivan's cheek.
Then, she undid the buttons of Ivan's ordinary wizard robe, took it off, and replaced it with a long robe adorned with intricate patterns.
"Looks good", she said, satisfied, after helping Ivan fold his sleeves. She looked at him, now resembling a noble young wizard, and smiled.
Ivan waved his Wand to conjure a mirror and saw that indeed, a change of clothes had transformed his appearance, giving him a noble wizard's look.
However, he felt somewhat constrained in this new outfit, lacking the ease and comfort of his usual attire.
"Well, this outfit is fine", Ivan finally said, but upon seeing Aisia's half-smiling face, he quickly added, "I mean, this outfit is great, perfect in every way!"
"It's about time. Let's go", Douglas said, glancing at the clock and gesturing to Aisia, then turning to Ivan to remind him.
Ivan nodded solemnly and was then grabbed by the shoulder. A familiar sensation of spatial distortion washed over him as he heard Douglas's voice.
"Apparate"
In the next moment, the two of them vanished from the magic shop, leaving Aisia behind.
