Chapter 1488: Five Years Later, Planetary Grade Eight!
Chapter 1488: Five Years Later, Planetary Grade Eight!
Time flew by, and five years had passed.
Of course, these "five years" referred to Earthtime.
One day, five years later, within Crystal Grid City.
Su Yu floated in mid-air in the Automaton's control room, his eyes tightly closed.
The control room had changed little from five years ago, with the only difference being the addition of two blue crystals on either side of the hall.
These two blue crystals, about the size of a TV, were the control centers for two Planetary Ais. By manipulating these crystals, Su Yu could make them do anything he desired.
After a long while, Su Yu opened his eyes.
He first assessed the changes in his own strength, then spoke, "Blue Whale, how long have I been in seclusion this time? And what’s the date today?"
"Administrator Su Yu", the AI Blue Whale's voice immediately sounded in Su Yu's ear, "Your seclusion this time lasted 72 days and 6 hours. The current Earth calendar date is January 19, 2134."
Su Yu nodded slightly. "It’s already 2134?"
2134 marked the ninth year since he had left Earth.
Reflecting on the beginning, it all started with his rebirth in 2120, when he was just 26 years old.
Now, 14 years later, he was a 40-year-old man!
But 40 wasn’t really old.
Compared to other Planetary Grades, who could be thousands or even tens of thousands of years old, his age was almost like that of an infant.
"Morningstar, I’m still just a kid", Su Yu winked at Morning Star the Cat, who was watching from the side.
"!!!" Morningstar was shocked, nearly falling off the cat tree. She steadied herself quickly, taken aback.
Su Yu, what are you doing? That’s like a bolt from the blue!
"Counterstar, did you go wrong in your cultivation?" she asked hurriedly.
Su Yu laughed and waved his hand. "Just a joke, just a sudden feeling."
After a thorough assessment of his strength, Su Yu found that he had successfully advanced to Planetary Grade Eight.
Due to his rapid ascension, he was not as proficient in spells or equipment as his peers, but his strength had genuinely improved. He was now a true Planetary Grade Eight entity.
Like an elephant, even without sharp claws or teeth, and despite not running very fast, it was not something lions or tigers could mess with.
Su Yu’s straightforward strength, while not enough to match his peers, was more than enough to crush anything up to Planetary Grade Six without mercy.
...
With his ascension to Planetary Grade Eight, Su Yu’s cultivation would take a temporary break.
Looking back on the past five years, the only thing Su Yu had done was to deeply bind himself with Gryla-13.
All life forms, whether Automatons, Carbon-Based Life Forms, or even beasts and marine creatures with intelligence, were within his binding range.
He had traveled back and forth between the northern and southern hemispheres hundreds of times, covering the entire planet. He had bound the Carbon-Based Life Forms in the south and taken full control of the Automatons in the north.
According to Chant’s initial estimate, Su Yu’s strength would reach around Planetary Grade Seven after binding the entire planet.
This estimate was initially correct.
With Su Yu’s original Planetary Grade Five strength, completing the binding would have brought him to around Planetary Grade Seven.
However, Su Yu had now successfully ascended to Planetary Grade Eight, thanks to an external factor that Chant had not accounted for.
Gryla-13 was Su Yu’s primary source of power, but the external factor was equally important.
This external factor, of course, was the efforts of the humans on Earth at the Fig Hub.
Over the past five years, the humans on Earth had continued to produce and sell food.
The Fig Hub continuously provided a significant amount of power feedback, which was a substantial income.
Combined with the vast resources of Gryla-13, Su Yu’s strength had recently been pushed to Planetary Grade Eight!
...
"Counterstar, have you successfully advanced to Planetary Grade Eight?" Morningstar tilted her head and asked from the cat tree.
"Of course, I’ve successfully advanced", Su Yu smiled in response.
"Really fast!"
Morningstar had long been numb to Su Yu’s rapid advancement.
Over the past five years, while her own strength had improved slightly, Su Yu had made three consecutive leaps in Planetary Grades!
"But only Counterstar is like this. If everyone advanced this quickly, it would be chaos", Morningstar thought to herself.
Thinking about it, Morningstar stood up from the cat tree, looking energetic. She asked, "Now that you’ve advanced, should we head back to the Milky Way?"
Two years ago, Su Yu had promised her that once he had largely completed the binding of Gryla-13, they would leave and prepare to return home.
The planet was now almost fully bound, and Su Yu had just advanced. The next milestone, Planetary Grade Nine, was still far away. Was it time to go home?
Hearing Morningstar’s words, Su Yu smiled and nodded, "Indeed, it’s time to go home."
But then he suddenly changed his tone, looking at Morningstar seriously, "But Morningstar, I’ve changed my mind!" (End of Chapter)
