Chapter 1447: The Savior Takes Action
Chapter 1447: The Savior Takes Action
Harry was dating Ginny! This was the news Albert had received from Hermione.
Perhaps sensing that his end might be near, Harry had become more open-minded about many things.
However, since he started dating Ginny, the sweetness of love had gradually eroded his resolve, and Harry instinctively wished for this beautiful relationship to continue.
Was this a case of self-inflicted suffering?
Albert was speechless.
Love was indeed a poison! But then again, as a married man, he wasn't exactly in a position to say that.
Nevertheless, when he discussed this matter with Dumbledore, the elderly man seemed relieved. The former headmaster had always been concerned that Harry would focus all his attention on finding a way to kill Voldemort, leading him to act impulsively and make irreversible mistakes.
"Are you referring to using Fiendfyre to burn the Horcrux in the Lestrange vault?"
Albert scoffed at the old man's accusation.
"If you have a better idea, I'd be glad to hear it. To be honest, Harry's talent in Dark Magic is quite average, and I can't be bothered to teach him the Fiendfyre curse."
"Well, I'm a dead man, so I can't really offer any brilliant suggestions or help you in any meaningful way."
Dumbledore bluntly dismissed the issue, just as he had said; he was already dead, and the dead did not interfere in the affairs of the living. Even if he wanted to do something, there wasn't much he could do.
"Anyway, I assume you didn't come here just to talk about this," Albert said as he steered the conversation back on track, not wanting to dwell on the topic any longer.
"The British wizarding community is in chaos, and I assume you've heard some rumors about it?" Dumbledore brought up the reason for his visit that evening.
"I heard it's because Tom is planning to replace a batch of Death Eaters, causing all this turmoil," Albert replied nonchalantly. He didn't feel particularly concerned about the chaos in the British Ministry of Magic.
If anything, the chaos benefited him in several ways. Fred and George had told him that sales of Dark Magic defense items had skyrocketed recently.
"Severus told me that this unrest is a consequence of Tom's failed murder attempt the other night," Dumbledore sighed. "Apparently, many dark wizards were used as cannon fodder that night. This is both a concession to appease the other dark wizards and a way to sift out the reliable helpers."
"You're putting a lot of pressure on Tom," Albert said with a hint of disdain and sarcasm. "It's a shame that the Ministry of Magic isn't willing to offer a high bounty. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind taking the initiative myself, and we might not be in this mess."
"You know what I mean." Dumbledore looked at the man in front of him and said softly, "This war shouldn't..."
"Let's not get into that," Albert waved his hand dismissively, unconcerned about whether his words sounded cruel. "The British Ministry of Magic isn't taking action, and as an outsider, my interference would only be a nuisance. Besides, if the wizards themselves aren't willing to stand up to those dark wizards, I can't help them. They're bringing this misfortune upon themselves."
"If you truly believe that someone should do something about it, then let Harry take on the task. I think it suits his role as the 'Savior.' Besides, Tom isn't in the British wizarding community at the moment, so it would be a good opportunity for Harry to clear his head and not get too comfortable in the 'lap of luxury' provided by young ladies, forgetting his responsibilities."
"I..."
Dumbledore was a little surprised by Albert's decision and was about to say something when he was interrupted again.
"That's settled, then." Albert stood up from his armchair, turned, and waved to Dumbledore's portrait. "I'll send a message to Kingsley later."
...
A few days later, Kingsley, having received Albert's message, finally completed his initial investigation into the British wizarding community and convened a meeting at the Order of the Phoenix headquarters to discuss ways to calm the chaotic situation.
After Kingsley presented a relatively safe and executable plan, everyone in the Order, except for Sirius, expressed their willingness to help and put an end to the turmoil as soon as possible.
"I think you're all being too naive about this," Sirius said, facing the confused gazes of the others. He pursed his lips and added, "If it were that easy, why wouldn't Anderson just send his own people to do it?"
"I don't know, but that's what he suggested in the message he sent me a while back," Moody said, frowning slightly as he turned to Sirius. There was some truth to what Sirius was saying.
"I suppose he doesn't want the British wizarding community to remain in chaos indefinitely," Kingsley said, looking at Harry. "As for the reason, I believe he wants you, Harry, to join in and use this opportunity to adjust your mindset. He's not pleased with your progress."
"I don't want to either," Harry said helplessly. It wasn't for lack of trying that he hadn't mastered the Fiendfyre curse; it was incredibly difficult to control.
"Harry, I think Anderson is right," Hermione said, suspecting that Albert had intentionally created this opportunity for Harry. "You should use this chance to adjust your mindset."
Sirius clearly had the same thought. "I'll come along too and keep an eye on them. It'll be a good practical opportunity."
"Well, we..." Ron started to say.
"I know you can handle it, but if someone points out your shortcomings, you'll improve faster," Sirius cut in. "It'll also put others at ease."
"Alright," Harry agreed reluctantly, noticing the looks the others were giving him.
At least he wouldn't have to be the mascot anymore.
However, Harry, who had been looking forward to going out with Hermione and Ron to fight dark wizards and improve his combat skills, soon realized that things weren't quite as he had expected.
While the British wizarding community was indeed in chaos, finding dark wizards was another matter entirely. They had little success for several days, but thankfully, Sirius was there to instruct them, preventing the trio from getting too bored.
In fact, with their current level of proficiency in Dark Magic defense, even if they faced a group of dark wizards that outnumbered them slightly, they wouldn't be at a disadvantage. Through the intensive training, the trio had developed excellent teamwork and overall strength, quickly adapting to fighting dark wizards and even defeating a group of would-be criminals in one such encounter.
With the publicity efforts of the Order of the Phoenix, the brave deeds of "Savior" Potter quickly spread throughout the British wizarding community, serving as a deterrent to the dark wizards, who had no choice but to rein in their minions to avoid accidentally running into members of the Defense Association or the Order of the Phoenix.
Thanks to Harry Potter's "efforts" and the intervention of the Order of the Phoenix, the once-chaotic British wizarding community was showing signs of regaining peace—an incredible feat.
