Chapter 1391: The Rebellion's Plans
Chapter 1391: The Rebellion's Plans
The news about AI Blue Whale not only shook the residents of the hub but also caused a massive stir within the rebellion. Of course, the rebellion referred to here is the one within the Figer Hub's jurisdiction.
As a Level 4 AI, once AI Blue Whale spreads, it will easily cover the entire hub jurisdiction, exposing their existence without a doubt!
Not long after the news spread, about a few days later, on the planet "Lorent VI," approximately 230 light-years from the Figer Hub, the representatives of the rebellion gathered to discuss their next move.
"Lorent VI" is an extremely prosperous planet. For residents of the Figer Hub to enter the seventh star domain, they must transit through this planet.
If the Figer Hub is the capital of the jurisdiction, then "Lorent VI" is like a provincial capital.
Currently, "Lorent VI" is not under the control of the rebellion. The planet has Figer Hub's garrison and 1,462 Hymn Towers, which were once entirely controlled by the Hymn.
After the Hymn's fall, "Lorent VI" briefly lost contact with the hub.
However, when Saintcom Company reopened interstellar teleportation, "Lorent VI" reconnected with the Figer Hub via the teleportation gate. Information and commerce still flowed freely, maintaining the unity between the two.
While the rebellion does not control "Lorent VI," it doesn't mean they can't set up communication points on the planet. In fact, the three major rebellion groups—Glory Rebels, Dark Energy Army, and Spark Preservers—all have communication points here, with a common meeting place.
The local garrison and forces on "Lorent VI" have not discovered this communication point, allowing the rebellion groups to maintain communication through it.
On the fifth day after the AI Blue Whale incident, in a large meeting room at the communication point, the key figures from the three major rebellion groups gathered.
Three stellar beings were present, each representing one of the organizations. However, they were not in their physical forms but as 3D projections.
The three 3D projections stood facing each other, their expressions grave.
The representative from the Dark Energy Army was named Marklim, who had a significant connection to the slain Dark Thunder Dragon, Darak. Specifically, Marklim was the clan leader of the Dark Thunder Dragons.
Over a year and a half ago, Darak's death had shocked the Dark Thunder Dragon clan, and the auction of his corpse had brought shame to the clan.
The one who killed Darak was rumored to be an unknown stellar being, and the Dark Thunder Dragons had no way to seek revenge.
However, Marklim had always kept a close eye on the Figer Hub and Su Yu.
...
"Both of you, we must act quickly!" Marklim said to the other two, his tone exceptionally serious.
"Indeed, we must act soon," the stellar representative of the Spark Preservers agreed, glancing worriedly at the Hymn Tower about ten kilometers away. "Once the AI spreads, it will be a catastrophic blow to our plans!"
The representative of the Glory Rebels, however, seemed hesitant.
He looked at Marklim. "Marklim, is the Level 4 AI news true?"
"It should be accurate," Marklim replied solemnly. "The news from Figer confirmed that the AI is Level 4. The hub's top scientific team has taken over and started research, and they haven't raised any objections."
The representative of the Spark Preservers added, "The situation is clear now. We must launch an attack on Figer before the AI spreads!"
"But we haven't fully prepared yet," the Glory Rebels' representative remained conflicted.
Indeed, the three major rebellion groups were secretly preparing to launch a surprise attack on the Figer Hub.
Not just Figer, but eight hub planets in total were on the rebellion's target list.
The most special case was the neighboring Lunya Hub.
Lunya Hub had been attacked by the rebellion over a year ago, making it the first hub planet to be targeted. The war there is still ongoing, with both sides in a stalemate.
The other seven hubs are in preparation, and once ready, they will launch their attacks.
Of course, the main force behind the attacks is the Crystal Blue Commonwealth. The rebellion groups simply act as guides and support.
With their current strength, the rebellion groups can't simultaneously attack so many hub planets. Even if they combined their full forces, they could only engage two or three hubs and wouldn't be able to handle reinforcements.
The Crystal Blue Commonwealth is the main force, and the rebellion groups are just auxiliaries.
However, the situation on the Figer side is that they haven't completed their preparations and have already received news about the Level 4 AI...
...
"Marklim, how long will it take for the Figer Hub to spread the AI?" the Glory Rebels' representative asked.
"That... it's hard to say," Marklim thought for a moment before answering. "Spreading the AI within Figer will likely take a significant amount of time, possibly more than half a year.
"To reach Lorent VI, I estimate it will take about a year."
"A year?" the Glory Rebels' representative furrowed his brow. "A year is a long time, and we might not be fully prepared. The Crystal Blue's military equipment is only halfway there, and the remaining half is uncertain when it will be delivered.
"Moreover, Crystal Blue promised to send troops, but we don't know when they will arrive."
"However, we have no choice but to proceed. This isn't something we can decide," Marklim said seriously. "I will inform the Divine Lord and have him discuss with Crystal Blue to launch the war here as soon as possible.
"Both of you must also cooperate and take action before the AI arrives!"
"Understood."
"Agreed."
The two representatives replied.
