Chapter 1390: Under My Command
Chapter 1390: Under My Command
The next month was a tumultuous one for the Hub.
With the AI Blue Whale down, the Hub's military preparations were severely hampered, and the rise of bandits and a surge in crime rates only added to the chaos. On top of that, nearly a billion ordinary residents had to be relocated to other Hubs, causing the entire Hub to descend into utter disarray.
But amidst the chaos, there was still a glimmer of hope.
Everyone was eagerly waiting for the day when the AI Blue Whale would be repaired.
Today was the final day. Would the AI Blue Whale be successfully repaired?
...
Meanwhile, in the city of Gantek.
On the 17th floor of the Fegxin Nova Adventure Guild headquarters.
A silver-white portal appeared in the office of Guild Leader Janet, and immediately, over a dozen Eighth Rank powerhouses emerged from it.
Leading the way was Simon Helag, followed by Janet, and then the guild's most core members, all of whom were Eighth Rank or higher.
At this moment, including the two guild leaders, they all looked extremely exhausted.
As soon as they stepped out of the portal, Simon Helag collapsed onto the floor, completely disregarding his appearance.
This was Janet's office, and because Janet's true form was a tree person, the floor was covered with colorful flowers and plants.
Simon Helag's collapse immediately wreaked havoc on the flora, crushing the flowers and plants under his weight.
The other powerhouses weren't much better; they all plopped down on the floor or sprawled out like Simon, their faces showing signs of extreme fatigue.
"Hey, hey, hey, you're making a mess of my floor!" Janet pretended to be angry.
Now, each of them was disheveled, covered in dirt, and the floor was thoroughly ruined.
But at this moment, she was lying sprawled out in her office chair, her body merging with the wooden chair.
"Ah, finally," she sighed deeply. "We're back!"
"Yeah, this trip really wore us out!" Simon Helag gasped for breath. "Who would have thought those ghostly realms would be so dangerous? I nearly died in there!"
"Who didn't nearly die?" A nearby Eighth Rank cultivator wiped his sweat. "If it weren't for the strategies Su Yu gave us, each of us would have died several times! Thankfully, we had the strategies, and we managed to barely make it through each time."
"Indeed, thinking back, it was quite thrilling!" Simon Helag mused.
Over the past month, they had used the strategies provided by Su Yu to explore several unknown realms.
Each realm was incredibly dangerous, and they often found themselves teetering on the brink of death.
However, they all returned intact, miraculously without a single serious injury.
"But this time, we really hit the jackpot!" Simon Helag said with a satisfied smile.
"Indeed!" Janet sighed. "This month's earnings are more than what we've made in the past ten years combined! Lord Su Yu is truly generous!"
At that moment, a voice suddenly echoed in the office. "If there are similar tasks in the future, will you still go?"
"I'd rather die than go again!" Simon Helag exclaimed. "Sure, the rewards are high, but it's too exhausting! Look at me, I'm about to fall apart!"
"Really no more?"
"Really no... Wait!"
Simon Helag suddenly realized something and quickly got up from the floor.
The other powerhouses in the room also straightened up, standing as tall as Simon.
Because that voice was none other than Su Yu's, and he was standing right in the center of the office, smiling at everyone.
"Hehe, everyone, you've done a great job!" Su Yu said with a smile.
"Not at all, not at all!" Simon Helag hurriedly responded. "Lord Su Yu, you are truly generous! With such high rewards, a little fatigue is nothing to us!"
Janet and the other dozen powerhouses immediately chimed in. "Yes, yes, it's nothing!"
Su Yu looked at Simon Helag. "But you just said you'd rather die than go again, didn't you?"
"Well, I'm not dead, am I?" Simon Helag said with a thick face. "If I'm not dead, I'll go!"
Janet quickly changed the subject. "Lord Su Yu, why are you here? Do you have more tasks for us?"
Su Yu shook his head. "Not this time. Today is the last day for the Blue Whale's repair."
He put on a serious expression. "But today, I have a serious question for everyone—will you swear your allegiance to me?"
Over the past month, Su Yu had come to understand the Fegxin Nova Adventure Guild, especially the core members.
These people could be brought under his command.
And with their loyalty, his strength would greatly increase.
The Fegxin Nova members were taken aback by this sudden request!
Without hesitation, Simon Helag immediately shouted, "Lord Su Yu, I am willing to swear my allegiance to you!"
"Me too, I am willing to swear my allegiance to you!" Janet followed.
"Me as well."
"Swearing allegiance to you is a great honor!"
The other powerhouses chimed in one after another.
They barely needed to think about it.
The benefits of swearing allegiance to Su Yu were obvious, as evidenced by their recent gains.
And there was no need to think twice about it. The Blue Star Adventure Guild would have at least three Planetary Rank members in the future. A force of that caliber was not something they could easily aspire to.
"Alright then," Su Yu nodded calmly. "Since that's settled, I'll take you all to a place..."
...
Half an hour later, the silver-white portal in the office lit up again, and the Fegxin Nova's high-ranking members emerged once more.
But this time, their faces were filled with confusion.
"Is it... really that simple?" Simon Helag couldn't believe it.
"Indeed, I never expected such a magical technique!" Janet said in a daze.
"So, what do we do now?"
"Uh... just do what we normally do. What else can we do?"
"That's true. We're now bound to a big ship!"
"Let's hope the ship sails smoothly. By the way, the Blue Whale's repair should be fine, right?"
"Of course, it's up to Lord Su Yu."
