Chapter 139: This Is Too Brutal
Chapter 139: This Is Too Brutal
The Blazing Explosion is an incredibly powerful and highly offensive Spell. According to records, Peter Pettigrew even used it to blow up an entire street, causing the deaths of 13 Muggles.
So, after witnessing Aisia use it, Ivan, who was severely lacking in offensive Spells, naturally added it to his list of potential options.
It was only during this recent concern about encountering danger while searching for Werewolves that Ivan urgently spent some House Points to master it.
As for using the Enhancement Rune Formula to augment the Blazing Explosion Spell, it was the first time for Ivan. Fortunately, the effect was outstanding, with no unexpected issues, and the power far exceeded his imagination.
Although it still fell far short of Peter Pettigrew sacrificing a finger to blow up an entire street, it was definitely beyond the scope of a regular Spell!
The only drawback was the severe drain on his Magic Power. Ivan could clearly sense that nearly half of his Magic Power was gone.
But the desired effect had been achieved. Under Ivan's gaze, the Werewolf wizards who had intended to attack were now silent.
The collapsed stone wall constantly reminded them of the consequences of rash actions!
Ivan's words finally made sense to them. If the other party had malicious intentions, there would be no need for deception; they could have simply chosen to annihilate them!
Even the elderly Witch was speechless. The falling debris from the sky hit her, but she showed no reaction, staring in shock at the young wizard standing in the center, who looked to be no more than eleven or twelve years old.
The stark contrast between the powerful Spell and Ivan's young and small figure left her unable to react for a long time.
At one point, the Witch even suspected that this might be a powerful wizard using Polyjuice Potion to disguise themselves.
Douglas had similar thoughts. He looked at the ruined stone wall and recalled his own Blazing Explosion, which had only managed to blow up a small pile of rubble. The power was less than half of what he had just witnessed, leaving him feeling disoriented.
Noticing the fearful expressions of the others, Ivan felt relieved. It was worth it to use both the Magic Ring and the enhanced Rune to establish such a deterrent!
"Whoo~"
At that moment, another sudden change occurred. Walker, who had already transformed into a Werewolf, suddenly let out a long howl, his sharp claws digging into the ground.
Both sides became tense. Werewolves in their transformed state are irrational, acting only on their bloodthirsty instincts. No one knew what Walker would do next.
Ivan inwardly cursed. The enhanced Rune could only be used once per hour, and the Magic Power stored in the Magic Ring was already depleted. If his true strength was revealed, another fight might break out.
The Werewolf wizards were even more terrified, fearing that Walker might attack the young wizard who, despite his small size, wielded a terrifying Spell.
Their bodies were not as sturdy as a street wall, and the explosion's range made it difficult to dodge. Such a Spell, if used a few times, could wipe them all out.
Only Douglas remained calm, his face serene. Over the past few days, Ivan had repeatedly challenged his perceptions. Douglas suddenly felt that he might be getting old and should just stay out of the way.
Dense white mist began to emerge from his Wand. Ivan hesitated about whether to use Blood Magic to stabilize the current situation.
Only by decisively taking down Walker who had transformed into a wolf, could the group of wolf wizards be kept in check.
Just as Ivan was about to make his move, Walker, the wolf, who had given a hint of attacking, suddenly twisted his body and fled towards the distance.
Although in wolf form, Walker acted purely on bloodlust, but this also made him highly sensitive to danger. After witnessing the street wall collapse under the power of a Spell, and sensing the approaching danger, he abandoned his attack without hesitation.
Ivan's tense expression relaxed slightly, but his eyes widened in the next moment.
The wolf had just reached the corner of the street, about to break free, when a middle-aged wizard in his thirties, wearing a tattered robe, appeared at the exit.
Facing the charging wolf, the wizard extended his muscular arm, his hand accurately grabbing Walker's neck and slamming him against the wall.
Then, the newly arrived figure began to punch Walker repeatedly in the head.
Walker, the wolf, let out a piercing scream, his sharp claws raking across the wizard's body, leaving deep bloodstains. However, the middle-aged wizard remained unfazed, pounding the out-of-control wolf into unconsciousness.
Ivan twitched the corner of his mouth, recognizing the middle-aged wizard named Fenrir as the one who had sought treatment from Douglas last time.
But this is too brutal.
Ivan could hardly believe his eyes; a wizard had actually taken down a rampaging wolf with his bare hands!
However, the group of wolf wizards seemed to find this normal. The elderly Witch leading them spoke as if she had found a pillar of support.
"Fenrir, you came just in time. Otherwise, Walker would have run out of control."
"What exactly happened here? And what about that explosion earlier?" Fenrir's arms were covered in blood and claw marks, but he didn't seem to care. The wounds had stopped bleeding and would heal on their own in about a week.
Fenrir's slightly protruding eyes scanned the area, lingering on the rubble and debris from the explosion.
If he remembered correctly, there should have been a stone wall here before.
A flicker of suspicion crossed his eyes, and then he focused his attention on Ivan and Douglas, quickly recognizing them.
At this moment, the other wolf wizards had gathered around Fenrir, reporting the situation to him.
Ivan then saw that, apart from Fenrir and the unconscious Walker, there were four other wizards who appeared to be wolves. They were all quite old and in poor condition.
After a moment's thought, Ivan spoke to Fenrir.
"Your name is Fenrir, right? We came here seeking some help, with no ill intentions. That Walker attacked us first for some reason, and we were only defending ourselves."
Fenrir didn't respond immediately. After listening to the reports from the wolf wizards, he nodded and looked at Ivan with a hint of doubt.
"Did you destroy that stone wall over there?"
"Of course", Ivan nodded.
"Remarkable", Fenrir said in a flat tone, which made Ivan frown, unable to detect any sarcasm. Before Ivan could think more about it, Fenrir continued.
"Thank you for your help last time. The White Fresh and Mugwort were very useful. You said you wanted to talk about something, right? Come inside."
