Chapter 1387: Reviving Another
Chapter 1387: Reviving Another
After everything was settled, both parties signed a simple contract.
Satisfied with the terms, Austin (formerly Su Yu) nodded.
With this contract, he would earn over 200 billion Psychic Coins. Adding to that, the lower half of Jared's body and the data module would bring in nearly 300 billion Psychic Coins in total!
"With so much money, why not revive Dark Thunder Dragon Drake (formerly Dark Thunder Dragon Darak) as well?" Austin communicated with the cat, Morning Star, perched on his shoulder.
Dark Thunder Dragon Drake was a fourth-stage Planetary, but Austin could give him a first-stage Planetary body. Although the Dark Thunder Dragon template was strong, with five or six trillion Psychic Coins, it would be enough to reform his physical form.
"Sounds like a good idea," Morning Star's eyes lit up. "After Drake returns, your strength should reach third-stage Planetary, right?"
"Still a bit short, but not too far off."
Austin sent a message to Drake's soul within the [Afterlife Ring]: "Do you want to be revived?"
The [Afterlife Ring] had always been on Austin's finger, containing Drake's soul.
However, Austin rarely communicated with it. Drake's soul was somewhat useful before the Planetary stage, but not after.
Upon receiving Austin's message, the long-dormant [Afterlife Ring] burst into an extremely bright white light.
Drake's soul was overjoyed, almost to the point of shattering the ring!
"Really? You really want to revive me?!" it roared inside.
"Would I joke about this if I had nothing better to do?" Austin said calmly. "I won't go into the details, but you must swear loyalty to me after being revived."
"No problem, Master!" Drake responded without hesitation. "If you can revive me, you will be my only master for life! I swear my loyalty to you for eternity, by the Dragon God Iris (formerly Dragon God Eris)!"
It wasn't that Drake lacked integrity. Austin was favored by the Sacred Hymn, with a future that held boundless potential!
Would it even be a question to serve such a person? Not at all.
Even in life, Drake would have recognized Austin as his master without a second thought.
"Very well," Austin nodded.
He looked at the Stellar-stage beings. "Lords, I have Drake's soul. I plan to revive him in the near future to serve the Hub. Do you all agree?"
The Stellar-stage beings were silent, standing in the sky as if frozen.
After a moment, seeing no one respond, Austin said casually, "Since no one objects, I'll take it as a default agreement. Time is tight, so I'll be leaving now! Contact me if anything comes up."
With that, Austin vanished, returning to the headquarters building.
The Stellar-stage beings looked at each other, dumbfounded.
Long after Austin left, Chairman Ryder (formerly Chairman Lemo) chuckled awkwardly, "Sigh, this Austin... Jared used to be the Hub's pride, a genius seen once in a million years. Now, compared to Austin, he's nothing."
"Ugh... ugh..." Jared, silenced, instinctively tried to protest, but his voice faded away, losing strength.
Jared began to feel guilty.
Compared to Austin now, he truly was nothing.
How could he match this man's ability to stir things up?
"Another Planetary to be revived," Banker Slade (formerly Banker Soren) rubbed his chin, marveling. "This young friend is truly unique. If it were me, I wouldn't spend resources on reviving others."
"Neither would I," General Thornton (formerly General Dalando) added. "But it benefits the Hub. Perhaps Councilor Austin knows his own limits and is diversifying his investments?"
"Let him do as he wishes," Chairman Ryder waved his hand.
He then added, "But he's earned another 300 billion... 300 billion! His earning speed surpasses us all!"
"Not 'us,' not including me," Ava (formerly Ashley) said coldly.
However, despite her cold tone, a faint smile played on her lips.
It seemed the divination was correct; this was indeed the only ray of hope in the darkness!
"Let it be, then. I hope Austin can successfully repair the AI Blue Whale..." Chairman Ryder ignored Ava's comment and continued, "Everyone, split up. Marshal (formerly Manler), take Jared into custody; Slade, prepare the funds for Austin and transfer them immediately; the rest, follow me back to the council to report to Lord Brennan (formerly Lord Berna)..."
Following Chairman Ryder's instructions, the Stellar-stage beings left the 170th Star Zone.
But at the same time, other star zones were in chaos, as if the sky had fallen!
