Chapter 138: Void Walker Kassadin
Chapter 138: Void Walker Kassadin
After killing two Void creatures, Tina sat cross-legged and began absorbing the energy that had seeped out from their bodies.
Two minutes later, she opened her eyes.
"Feel any different?" Su Yu used his [Insight] ability to scan Tina’s status. She was still at level 50, with no signs of leveling up.
"I feel my power solidifying within me," Tina said, feeling the changes within her body. "In the past, because of my bloodline, I jumped from level 1 to level 3 directly. This created a serious issue: my foundation wasn't solid, making it extremely difficult to defeat opponents of the same level, like Margaret. Forget about challenging higher levels."
Su Yu couldn't help but twitch his lips.
Margaret was a unicorn instructor, one of the strongest among her peers. For a newcomer who had just advanced to level 3, defeating Margaret was already a significant achievement, wasn't it?
Tina continued, "But now, after absorbing the energy here, I feel my power has become more solid. My foundation is gradually becoming more robust, and I can unleash even greater combat potential."
As she spoke, a wave of confidence surged within her. "If I can absorb more of this energy and solidify my foundation completely, even two Margarets working together wouldn't be a match for me!"
"Alright, then we'll try to kill as many monsters as possible to help you solidify your foundation," Su Yu wiped his forehead, surprised that Margaret had become a benchmark.
"Okay." Tina clenched her small fist, her fighting spirit ignited.
Meanwhile, outside the entrance to the Advanced Secret Realm.
The previously dark and silent fourth level of the trial arena was now brightly lit, with people milling about.
"Margaret, did Tina really go in?" Unicorn Legion Commander Gracie stared at the blue teleportation portal, her brow deeply furrowed.
Behind Gracie stood seven or eight instructors, each with different expressions. Some were gloating, others looked sympathetic, a few were indifferent, and one was thinking about what to eat for lunch. However, on the surface, they all fixed their gazes on Margaret, adding to the pressure.
"I apologize, Commander," Margaret lowered her head and recounted the details of what had just happened, emphasizing how Tina’s squire had misled her into entering the portal.
"Tina’s squire is a man?" Gracie was surprised. "Could his name be 'Bane'?"
"Yes! How did you know?" Margaret was taken aback. She hadn’t mentioned the squire’s name yet! Could the Commander read minds?
"I was just guessing. I’ve met him before," Gracie flicked her hair behind her ear.
Gracie’s squire, Bearandrew, had told her last night that his goblin merchant friend, [Navi Blackgold], was on the verge of bankruptcy.
The cause of the bankruptcy was the duel between Tina and Ruel. Navi Blackgold had lost a significant amount of money due to Bane’s actions.
Desperate to recoup his losses, Navi Blackgold entered a gambler’s frenzy, losing more and more money until he had gambled away everything he had and was in deep debt.
Since then, Navi Blackgold had been ranting about Bane, as if he were the cause of his downfall.
In addition to Navi Blackgold’s story, Gracie had also seen Bane around Tina during a mission, leaving a lasting impression on her.
She hadn’t expected Bane to become Tina’s squire.
"Cough." Gracie cleared her throat, redirecting her thoughts. "Margaret, while this isn’t entirely your fault, you do bear some responsibility."
"I understand, Commander." Margaret bowed her head deeply.
"I’ll spare you the punishment. If Tina comes out alive, you’re off the hook. If she dies, you’ll be fined a year’s salary according to legion rules. Any objections?"
Margaret’s expression improved slightly. "No, Commander."
Gracie nodded, her gaze returning to the Advanced Secret Realm portal, her expression complex.
"Tina, you must come out alive! According to the last prophecy of the great astrologer Strom, you are the empire’s last hope. If you fail, I will be the empire’s greatest sinner!"
Back inside the Secret Realm.
This time, the Secret Realm was a highly challenging dungeon.
Three mini-bosses: [Spiritbound Seer] and [Void Colossus].
