Chapter 136: New Ideas, Candy Lightning
Chapter 136: New Ideas, Candy Lightning
Not long after, Cedric and Qiu arrived one after the other, and the compartment instantly became livelier.
After two months of not seeing each other, everyone was delighted.
Whether it was Kyle's imagination or not, Qiu seemed to have grown taller since the last time they met. As soon as she entered the compartment, she placed a large package on the table.
Inside were gifts she had brought, snacks from the Muggle world.
In Qiu's opinion, Kyle, Cedric, and Conna, all from dual-heritage wizarding families, would be unfamiliar with Muggle snacks, so this was a perfect opportunity to let them try something new.
For this reason, she had spent half a day carefully selecting what she considered to be the tastiest treats.
The others were also quite interested in the items she brought.
Cedric was particularly fond of a black beverage. Although it felt a bit unusual at first, he gradually discovered that its unique taste was far superior to pumpkin juice, and drinking it brought an inexplicable joy.
If he didn't know it was a Muggle drink, he would have thought it contained Joy Juice.
Conna liked the triangular corn crisps and the berry-filled cookies.
Midway, the Weasley brothers and Lee Jordan also paid a visit. They were more captivated by a type of candy that created a "boom" sensation in the mouth.
"To be honest, I just had a brilliant idea," Fred said, licking the packaging bag thoughtfully. "We could try developing an exploding candy."
"And then we'll place it on the Slytherin table," George suggested with a smile. "That might keep Marcus quiet for a few days... I just found out that guy is this year's Slytherin Quidditch captain."
"That might be a bit tricky," Cedric said, opening the last bottle of Joy Juice and shaking his head. "Slytherin students probably won't eat candy with an unknown origin."
"How about putting the candy in the kitchen?" Lee Jordan suggested after some thought. "Mix it with other food, so it won't be considered mysterious."
"I wouldn't recommend that," Cedric frowned. "The house-elves won't agree, and if there's a problem with the food, they'll be in trouble too."
"Oh well... then forget it," Lee Jordan shrugged.
"Maybe you can try a different approach," Kyle suddenly suggested.
"For example, it's candy in the mouth, but it explodes when you spit it out."
Fred and George's eyes simultaneously lit up, and they chimed in:
"Kyle, has anyone ever told you..."
"You're a genius!"
Kyle raised his eyebrows slightly. "Of course, many people say that."
"..."
The compartment fell silent, and everyone looked at Kyle with a disdainful gaze.
However, Kyle didn't seem to mind at all and continued eating a piece of chocolate calmly. Through the window, he also spotted Neville.
He was on the platform, looking around anxiously, as if searching for something. Mrs. Longbottom stood beside him with a stern expression, reprimanding him.
Kyle also saw Mrs. Weasley walking towards the train, followed by her three children.
Ron, Ginny, and a skinny boy with round-framed glasses. The boy had messy hair, and his bangs, seemingly cut haphazardly, just covered his forehead.
"Mrs. Weasley," Kyle waved his hand at the window.
"Oh, dear, you're here.
Mrs. Weasley hurried over, "Have you seen Fred and George?"
"We're here, Mum," the twins replied, and then they headed towards the train.
"By the way, Kael, what have you been up to during the summer?" Autumn asked, taking a Chocolate Frog from the box. "I wrote to you in August, and it took over half a month to get a reply."
Kyle hesitated, "Well... something came up, and I had to travel far away."
The truth was, on his second day in Dorset, he was busy getting beaten up, and he completely forgot about replying to Autumn's letter.
By the time he remembered, he was already back home.
Autumn didn't suspect anything and thought Kyle had gone on a trip like Cedric.
"I'm so envious of you," she said with a hint of longing as she ate the Chocolate Frog. "I've always wanted to travel to Paris. What do you think of it, Cedric?"
"It was a fantastic trip," Cedric replied after a moment's thought. "When we went to watch the opera, we met an elderly wizard from there who immediately recognized us and introduced us to many interesting places.
If you want to travel there too, I can draw the route for you later."
"That's great!" Autumn exclaimed with delight. "I've always wanted to visit Paris.

By the way, did you go to Bosworth Academy of Magic?"
"Yes, I did," Cedric nodded. "Bosworth Academy is not in Paris but in the southern Pyrenees Mountains, as that old wizard told us."
"What's it like there?" Autumn asked curiously.
"We didn't go inside, we just took a look from outside the school."
"It's slightly smaller than Hogwarts, but the architecture is more exquisite and beautiful," Cedric described.
Autumn's eyes lit up at the mention of beautiful architecture, which she had always admired.
Especially when it came from another renowned magic school.
As Autumn and Cedric talked, Kyle looked out the window again.
George noticed and frowned. "Percy, why is your robe different from ours?"
He gestured to the position on his chest and said, "They're all new robes, but why don't I have that round badge? Did Madam Malkin cheat us?"
"Dear, that's the badge for the Head Boy," Mrs. Weasley laughed.
"So it's the Head Boy badge, no wonder you've been wearing it all summer."
Fred exaggerated, "Seriously, it's a good thing you didn't receive the Special Contribution to the School Award."
"I remember that was a trophy," George said.
"Can't wear it on the chest..."
"But can wear it on the head..."
"Like wearing a Golden Hat!"
Fred and George exchanged a glance, and with a playful gesture, they took out a trophy from their robes and placed it on their heads.
"Shut up!" Percy's face turned red, clearly angry.
