Chapter 1356: The Big One is Coming
Chapter 1356: The Big One is Coming
Everyone waited for about two hours.
Just as they were starting to get impatient, Ashley's figure finally emerged through a spatial rift and returned to the hub.
"You're finally back!" Seeing Ashley return unscathed, Chairman Lemur's frown relaxed. He then asked, "Did you find anything?"
Ashley didn't answer immediately.
First, she extended her hand and erased the spatial rift behind her. As she did, a soft, pale purple light rapidly covered and enveloped the entire rift. The once pitch-black rift began to dissolve like ice, quickly disintegrating and vanishing in the purple glow.
Now that she was back in the hub, the spatial rift was no longer needed and had to be dealt with.
Next, Ashley looked around and connected her mental energy to the private communication network of the Stellar Rank members.
"I've discovered a significant issue," she said gravely over the network. "I'll send you a memory fragment, and you'll understand once you see it."
With that, Ashley uploaded a small memory bubble to the private network, containing her recent experiences and observations.
Hearing Ashley's serious tone, everyone grew somber and quickly examined the contents of the memory bubble.
The memory bubble contained little information, and it took only a minute or two for the Stellar Rank members to finish viewing it.
After watching the memory, their faces remained unchanged, but their hearts were in turmoil.
This means the big one is coming!
...
The story begins with Ashley's confrontation with Lerin.
Earlier, Ashley hadn't stopped Lerin from leaving; she had only torn off his wings.
This was partly because she knew she couldn't prevent him from leaving, and partly because it made it easier to track him.
After tearing off Lerin's wings, Ashley attached a [Future Mark] to the wounds at the base of his wings.
The [Future Mark] is Ashley's unique technique, capable of bypassing certain time paradoxes. By acting now, she could mark Lerin several years in the future.
Since the mark only takes effect years later, the current Lerin had no way of knowing he was marked and couldn't feel or remove it.
Lerin was completely unaware that he had been marked, and he couldn't know that he would be marked in the future.
However, Ashley could bypass certain time paradoxes and track the mark immediately.
Thus, her [Future Mark] is the ultimate tracking spell, impossible to evade, and unique to the galaxy.
Relying on the [Future Mark], Ashley left the team and ventured to other star domains to track Lerin.
Guided by the coordinates, Ashley used the Saint Tong company's teleportation service to reach the Seventh Star Domain about two hours later.
As soon as she arrived, she immediately and clearly sensed the location of the rebel organization! The distance was so close that it was unmistakable.
She landed at the sub-hub of the Seventh Star Domain, the planet "Lorent VI."
She perceived that on another planet in the same star system, a large number of rebel fleets were gathering!
"I've detected at least four Stellar Rank auras, and that doesn't include Lerin," Ashley said solemnly over the private network.
"Four or more?" Chairman Lemur's brow furrowed again. "It seems the rebel organization is preparing to attack the Feige hub, just like they did with Lunya."
"And that's not all..." Ashley added seriously. "I also detected the presence of some silicon-based life forms among them!"
