Chapter 1355: Ashley Leaves the Team
Chapter 1355: Ashley Leaves the Team
The sub-hub of the Tenth Star Region is called Rothmesser-151.
This sub-hub, like others in different star regions, has 12 large detectors spread across the planet, each facing a different direction. Through these detectors, inspectors can project their mental energy to cover the entire star region, marking all cultivators of the Sixth Rank and above on the detector screens. This method allows them to roughly determine if there are any rebel organizations in the region.
Of course, a single powerful individual could intentionally hide, making it difficult for the detectors to pinpoint their location.
For example, Lelin.
If Lelin deliberately shields his aura and eliminates all traces of movement around him, he can likely avoid detection by the detectors.
However, a large-scale rebel organization would be impossible to hide.
Such organizations, when gathering in large numbers, would include many cultivators of the Sixth Rank and above. It would be impossible for all of them to conceal their auras, and the cost of using large-scale aura-shielding psychic artifacts would be prohibitively high.
Therefore, if a large number of rebel organizations were to gather in the Tenth Star Region, the detectors would certainly detect them immediately.
Earlier, Dalandor and the other Stellar Rank experts arrived at the sub-hub and each operated a detector to scan the Tenth Star Region thoroughly.
Operating the detectors consumes a significant amount of psychic energy, and even for Stellar Rank experts, it drains nearly half of their mental power.
In the past, these detectors were controlled by the Hymn, but after the Hymn's demise, they had been neglected for two to three years.
In the end, their large-scale detection did not reveal any signs of a rebel organization.
...
"It seems the Tenth Star Region is currently safe."
"Someone like Lelin would definitely have a group of followers. And don't forget, several Fifth Rank and above Planetary Rank superiors attacked Su Yu just now!"
"That means the rebel organization must have a large-scale gathering, just not in the Tenth Star Region, perhaps?"
"That's very likely. It seems Lelin probably comes from another star region."
"From now on, we must strictly sweep all star regions!"
Everyone began discussing with those around them.
But at that moment, someone with a keen eye noticed that the Stellar Rank team seemed to be missing someone.
"Where is Lady Ashley? Why isn't Lady Ashley here?"
"Right, where is Lady Ashley?" After this person's reminder, everyone realized Ashley was not among the returned team.
Ashley had been the last to cross the rift, but she did not return with them.
"Did something happen over there?" someone asked. Chairman Lemor also turned to Dalandor with a questioning look.
Without hesitation, Commander Dalandor immediately answered, "The reason Ashley didn't return is that she left the team on her own initiative, shortly after we all arrived at the sub-hub."
"Left the team? What did she say?" Lemor continued to ask.
"Ashley said she found some clues and needed to investigate alone," Dalandor replied. "She told us to return and wait for her here. She'll be back soon."
"That's what she said," Soren, the bank president, nodded.
"Alright, let's wait here then," Lemor said.
Since Ashley told them to wait, they would wait.
And Ashley might indeed find some clues, as she was the only one who "interacted" with Lelin earlier.
...
The Stellar Rank experts hovered in the sky, waiting. They weren't idle, using their mental energy to create a "private communication network" to exchange information.
Su Yu didn't know what they were discussing.
However, from their angry expressions, it was clear that Lelin's sudden attack had infuriated them.
The council would likely convene a meeting soon to discuss measures for their jurisdictional star regions.
Su Yu had no intention of leaving and stood by, waiting for Ashley.
However, Lyman Greed, standing beside him, couldn't hold on any longer. Lelin's wings had placed a tremendous burden on him, making him feel as if he were carrying a planet.
So, he took the initiative to bid farewell to the Stellar Rank experts and returned to the Security Department with the wings.
