Chapter 135: Aunt May and Young Spider-Man (1st Update)
Chapter 135: Aunt May and Young Spider-Man (1st Update)
"What the heck is this thing?"
As soon as Ivan switched to the first-person view of a Ground Robot, he saw a massive dragon head with a gaping mouth lunging toward him.
Before he could react, the screen went dark, and the computer alerted him that another Ground Robot had lost connection.
"Looks like they've wised up?"
Observing the remaining seven or eight robots, Jerry noticed they were no longer aimlessly firing at the sky in search of Iron Man. Instead, they had repositioned their machine guns and grenade launchers to point directly at him. Jerry knew the mastermind behind the robots must have taken personal control.
However, Jerry wasn't particularly worried. After all, Magic Dragon was created by magic, so even if it was destroyed, he could simply create a new plastic model with no real loss.
Of course, whether these robots could actually kill Magic Dragon was still uncertain.
"Dragon Tail Whip!"
Jerry controlled Magic Dragon to lash its tail with great force, sweeping half of the surrounding robots away like bowling pins.
At that moment, the remaining robots opened fire with their machine guns and grenade launchers.
However, Magic Dragon's defense was formidable. While the machine guns and grenade launchers had considerable power, they couldn't easily kill Magic Dragon in a short time.
"Behold the Super Flame!"
Faced with a barrage of bullets, Jerry, feeling no pain, opened his mouth and unleashed a stream of flames like a high-pressure fire hose, instantly engulfing all the remaining robots in Magic flames.
As time passed, Magic Dragon's body began to fragment, and the robots' bullets and grenades grew sparse.
Finally, the flames subsided, and Magic Dragon was completely shattered by the machine guns and grenades, reverting to its original plastic form.
However, the Ground Robots fared no better. Only one robot, with half its body still intact, managed to fire a few more bullets, while the others were reduced to heaps of molten metal.
Seeing Magic Dragon destroyed and the robots nearly obliterated, some of the bolder citizens began to cautiously approach the scene.
"What happened? Why did the dragon turn into plastic!"
"Be careful, that half-robot is still moving!"
"Oh, Mother Mary, those blasted robots just blew up my food cart!"
"Look, it's the young wizard coming over!"
As the crowd murmured, a figure in a wizard robe riding a broom descended from the sky.
It was Jerry, accompanied by the young boy.
"Softening Charm!"
Jerry waved his wand, and the remaining robot's gun barrel softened and drooped like a noodle. He then turned to look at the Plastic Dragon Model.
The Plastic Dragon Model was riddled with bullet holes and cracks, clearly no longer usable.
"Restore"
With a light tap of his wand, a beam of magical light flashed over the plastic dragon, and a miraculous transformation occurred.
The battered and torn plastic dragon was restored to its original form in just a few seconds.
Jerry had thought about the hassle of ordering a new plastic dragon and remembered a spell from his first-year textbook that could easily solve this problem. He decided to give it a try, and it worked surprisingly well.
Reparo, one of the basic spells of the first year, can repair broken items and restore them to their original state. It is often used to fix small items like glasses.
However, if you have a certain level of mastery over this magic, you can also repair larger items, such as houses.
In fact, Jerry always felt that Reparo might be more complex than its description suggests. He remembered a scene in the movie where Dumbledore visited Slughorn's house and restored all the items in the room to their original state.
So, he felt that this spell, which is described as repairing things, might be more like a time magic, reversing time to restore items to their previous state.
Seeing the plastic dragon model once again in perfect condition, Jerry satisfiedly tossed it back into the box.
The crowd suddenly realized that the dragon that had battled the robot was conjured by the wizard, and they all began to clap their hands.
"Peter, where did you run off to? I was so scared!"
At that moment, a beautiful woman with a fiery red knit sweater and a curvaceous figure, her long hair flowing, rushed to the side of the little boy next to Jerry, her face full of worry.
"Aunt, a bad robot was trying to hit me, but the wizard sister saved me!"
"Uh, wizard sister?"
Jerry was taken aback, remembering that everyone still thought he was a girl.
"My name is May Parker. Thank you for saving Peter!"
The woman, upon hearing this, immediately gave Jerry a big hug to express her gratitude.
Feeling the abyss of her chest pressing against him, the budding feelings of adolescence stirred, and Jerry quickly wriggled out of her embrace, stammering, "N-no problem!"
However, he suddenly thought of something and looked at the woman again.
"You said your name is May Parker?"
"Yes, that's right!"
May nodded, a bit confused. Hadn't she just introduced herself?
"You're his aunt?"
Jerry pointed at the little boy.
May nodded again.
"So, your name must be Peter Parker, then!"
Jerry turned to the little boy and asked.
The little boy was taken aback for a moment, then replied matter-of-factly, "Of course my name is Peter Parker. Didn't I tell you that on the rooftop?"
"Uh..."
Well, on the rooftop, most of his attention had been on controlling the magic dragon, so he hadn't really paid attention to what the little boy was babbling about.
He hadn't expected that the boy he had saved on a whim would turn out to be the future famous Spider-Man.
Spider-Man was a character he liked a lot; he had watched all three of the Sam Raimi Spider-Man movies.
While he didn't necessarily agree with Spider-Man's philosophy, he couldn't help but admire his kindness and sense of justice.
Even in the third movie, when he was possessed by the Venom symbiote and amplified the darkest aspects of his personality, he only went to the bar to dance, asked the boss for a raise, and threatened to sprinkle some dust in the eyes of the people he disliked the most.
"Keep it up, I believe in you!"
Patting Spider-Man on the shoulder, Jerry was about to head to the Exhibition Hall to see if Hass needed any help when a loud rumbling sound came from a distance.
Looking up, he saw Iron Man, who had just eliminated a few robots in the air, being tightly held by War Machine and crashing into the Simulated Ecosystem Garden next to the Exhibition Hall.
"Looks like Mr. Stark might need more help right now!"
Since the ground robots had all been dealt with and Hass was likely safe for the moment, Jerry decided to ride his broom and fly over to the Simulated Ecosystem Garden.
