Chapter 134: The Magic Dragon Fights the Robot Soldiers (Third Update)
Chapter 134: The Magic Dragon Fights the Robot Soldiers (Third Update)
At the Hammer Industries headquarters, Ivan Vanko looked ecstatic as he used a computer to control thirty-two robots and Colonel Rhodes' War Armor, surrounding and hunting down Iron Man, feeling like a cat toying with a mouse.
His father, Anton Vanko, had been driven away by Iron Man's father and died a bitter death. This time, he was helping Hammer to bring down Stark Industries and kill Iron Man, avenging his father.
With a few quick commands on the computer, the eight Ground Robots already in position on the square outside the Exhibition Hall extended several large claws from their feet, firmly anchoring themselves to the ground.
Then, they slowly extended high-caliber anti-aircraft guns from their backs, specifically designed to target aerial units.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
The anti-aircraft guns locked onto Iron Man and fired a salvo.
However, Iron Man's advanced AI system, Jarvis, immediately issued an alert. Iron Man not only dodged the shots with ease but also fired an energy blast that destroyed one of the Ground Robots on the ground.
On the other side, eight Special Robots were running through the crowd, searching for Iron Man's flight path, attempting to shoot him down with the tracking missiles on their shoulders.
One of the Special Robots, passing by a group of people, suddenly spotted a boy wearing an Iron Man helmet. The AI system mistakenly identified the boy as Iron Man and immediately raised its machine gun.
Seeing this, Tony accelerated to break away from Colonel Rhodes' War Armor and sped toward the boy.
However, before Tony could reach him, a figure on a broomstick swooped in, snatching the boy and carrying him out of the robots' attack range.
"It's that young wizard!"
Tony immediately recognized the young wizard who had saved the boy and had once saved his life.
"I'll take care of the robots on the ground, you deal with the ones in the air!"
Jerry waved to Tony in the air and brought the boy to a deserted rooftop.
Tony nodded at the approaching Rhodey and Air Robots, then sped back into the sky.
"Stay here and don't move, I'll take care of those robots before I bring you down."
Seeing Tony lead the air robots away, Jerry instructed the boy and then cast a summoning charm, bringing forth a twenty-meter-long plastic dragon from his Box.
The boy took off the Iron Man helmet and nodded at the sight of the suddenly appearing plastic dragon.
"Dragon Transformation Spell!"
Jerry recited the spell, took out a compass with a dragon engraving, and tapped it with his wand. The dragon engraving on the compass came to life.
As the dragon engraving on the compass moved, the twenty-meter-long plastic dragon on the rooftop transformed into a massive black-scaled magic dragon.
The key to the Dragon Transformation Spell is the model and the dragon engraving on the compass. Both elements must work together to fully harness the spell's power.
With the successful activation of the Dragon Curse, he felt a part of his consciousness instantly connect with the Magic Dragon through the tray.
"This feeling is truly amazing!"
After sensing the Magic Dragon's body, he silently marveled, leaving a portion of his consciousness in his own body to ensure he could quickly release the Magic if his physical form was in danger. Jerry then controlled the dragon to leap from the rooftop, which was several meters high.
With a thunderous crash, he immediately directed the dragon toward the nearest robot.
The Magic Dragon consumed a significant amount of mana, so he needed to end the fight quickly.
"Oh, God, what is that? Is it a dragon?"
The citizens, who had been fleeing in panic due to the explosions, were suddenly frozen in their tracks when they saw the Magic Dragon descend from the sky.
They could understand the appearance of the robots, given the previous publicity about Iron Man and Hammer Industries' robotic warriors.
They were running to avoid being caught in the crossfire of the robot's guns. However, the sight of a living, breathing dragon was simply beyond comprehension.
Whether it was a Western dragon, an Eastern dragon, or even a prehistoric dinosaur, these creatures were not supposed to exist in the real world, not unless they were in "Jurassic Park."
So, when a dragon nearly twenty meters long appeared in the square, everyone momentarily forgot about the robots and stood there in stunned silence.
"Quick, quick, turn the camera to that dragon!"
Lucy, hiding on a hidden balcony on the second floor of the Exhibition Hall, immediately instructed the cameraman to focus on the dragon and continue the live broadcast once she spotted it.
As a journalist who had gained fame for her coverage of wizards, Lucy had the privilege to enter the Exhibition Hall for filming.
However, after the situation arose, she did not panic and flee like the others. Instead, she bravely led the cameraman to the second floor of the Exhibition Hall, found a balcony, and began live-streaming the battle between Iron Man and the robots.
"Oh, friends, this is incredible! Can you guess who I just saw? It's a wizard! Camera guy, please pan the lens a bit to the right and zoom in on the rooftop where the dragon just appeared.
Can you see it? The wizard is on that rooftop, and I think the dragon we just saw was conjured by the wizard using Magic!"
While her attention was drawn to the dragon, Lucy suddenly remembered something and quickly shifted her gaze to the rooftop from which the dragon had leaped. Sure enough, she saw the wizard standing there, casting Magic.
Jerry focused most of his attention on the Magic Dragon, guiding it to the first robot at breakneck speed.
The robot's electronic eyes scanned Jerry, determined he wasn't Iron Man, and continued searching the sky.
Jerry, however, didn't hesitate. He controlled the Magic Dragon to raise its massive, sharp claws and grab the robot's leg, then proceeded to slam it into the ground ten times in quick succession.
The robot's steel body was undoubtedly sturdy, but the Magic Dragon's strength was no joke.
The ground was left with a crater from the repeated impacts, and the robot was reduced to a pile of scattered parts.
"Beep, lost contact!"
In the Hammer Industries building, Ivan Vanko, who was controlling the robots and the War Armor to relentlessly pursue Iron Man, suddenly saw an alert on his computer indicating that one Ground Robot had been destroyed.
He initially didn't pay much attention, but when the computer warned him that three more robots had been destroyed shortly after, he realized something was wrong. He temporarily handed over the pursuit of Iron Man to the AI program and switched the computer screen to the ground robots.
