Chapter 1338: Not a Coincidence
Chapter 1338: Not a Coincidence
"I'm looking for Gregorovitch."
Harry fixed his gaze on the middle-aged man before him, whose expression had changed drastically. When the man didn't respond, Harry asked again, "Where is he?"
"Gregorovitch moved half a year ago. I... I really don't know where he went," the man stammered, fear evident in his voice. He slowly backed away, as if trying to escape.
"Don't... try to deceive Lord Voldemort."
The next moment, a flash of green light filled Harry's vision. He abruptly opened his eyes, sitting up in bed and panting heavily as if he had just run a marathon.
The noise Harry made upon waking startled Ron, who was sleeping in the same room.
"Are you okay?"
Ron fumbled for the light switch, flooding the room with light.
He shuffled over in his slippers and stood by the bed, looking at Harry, whose face had turned as pale as paper. "Is your scar hurting again?" he asked anxiously.
"He's looking for Gregorovitch. Voldemort is searching for Gregorovitch," Harry muttered, clutching the bedsheets.
"Don't say that name, Harry," Ron warned, shivering.
But it was too late.
He could already hear the popping sounds of Apparition outside the safe house, and it was clear that Harry's mention of Voldemort had attracted Death Eaters.
Ron walked to the window and pulled aside the curtain to peer out. He could make out several dark figures in the distance, and a string of curses soon followed.
The hunting party, thinking they had caught a big fish, had quickly realized they were at the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix, and no wonder they were so angry.
"Why is Voldemort looking for Gregorovitch?"
Harry seemed not to have heard Ron's question, racking his brains to remember where he had heard that name before.
"Who is the mysterious man looking for?"
Ron let go of the curtain and turned to look at Harry, who seemed dazed.
"Gregorovitch... I think Voldemort should be looking for him abroad," Harry said, sharing the useful information he had obtained from Voldemort's mind.
"Harry, could you please stop using that damn name? You've already attracted the Death Eaters. They're right outside, and they want you dead," Ron reminded him helplessly.
He was truly worried that one day, when they were out and about, Harry would suddenly blurt out something like this and get them all into trouble.
Even with their improved abilities, they couldn't afford to take such risks.
"Oh, sorry, I was just too excited," Harry said, his face reddening with embarrassment. He realized he had made a stupid mistake, but as someone who often used Voldemort's name, it would take more than a moment to correct this habit.
"Harry, you should know that the mysterious man's name is magically protected. If we're out there one day and you suddenly forget, it could bring us great disaster," Ron warned. "I don't think we can take on the hunting party when we're outnumbered."
It wasn't that Ron lacked confidence in their abilities, but in that situation, they simply wouldn't be able to react in time. And even if they defeated the hunting party, it would do them no good—it would only expose their location.
"Sorry," Harry said, patting his cheeks to try and snap himself out of it.
"Who is Gregorovitch?" Ron asked.
"I don't know, but I feel like I've heard the name somewhere before," Harry mumbled. "I think the mysterious man should be looking for him abroad."
"What a poor guy."
Ron couldn't help but silently mourn for Gregorovitch for three seconds. Anyone who caught Voldemort's attention would have a hard time escaping his pursuit.
Startled by his nightmare, Harry was no longer sleepy. He decided to go downstairs for a drink, and as he made his way to the kitchen, he noticed that the lights were on in the Great Hall. Mr. Weasley, who was on night watch, was poring over a newspaper.
"Harry, are you still awake?"
Sirius appeared behind Harry and placed a hand on his shoulder, concern etched on his face.
"I just had a nightmare. I dreamed that the mysterious man was looking for Gregorovitch," Harry said, recounting his dream.
"Gregorovitch?"
Sirius repeated the name, unsure of who this person was. So, he decided to ask Mr. Weasley.
"Arthur, do you know who Gregorovitch is?"
"No, why?" Mr. Weasley asked, setting down his map.
"Harry just had a nightmare," Sirius said, leading Harry into the Great Hall.
"We'll ask Kingsley tomorrow; maybe he'll know who Gregorovitch is," Mr. Weasley said, intending to put away the map on the table now that Harry had entered the hall.
"Are there any recent developments?"
Harry was quite unhappy that Mr. Weasley still treated him like a child.
"We've located Ollivander, and we're planning to rescue him. If we can get him out, it will be a huge advantage for us," Sirius explained, ignoring the look Mr. Weasley was giving him.
"All right, Arthur, Harry is an adult now. He has the right to know these things," Sirius said.
"He's being held in a temporary prison created by Yaxley. Many valuable wizards are being detained there temporarily," Mr. Weasley said after a moment's hesitation. "We're considering whether to rescue them while the mysterious man is abroad."
"Did Albert find him?"
Harry's question was phrased as a query, but he seemed certain that it was indeed Albert who had located the prison. Clearly, no one but Albert had the ability to find the prison's location.
"Yes, he thinks we need to take down that prison as soon as possible and rescue the prisoners," Sirius continued, sharing some of the key points. "We agree that rescuing Ollivander is necessary, and we're working on the plan for our next move."
"Will Albert be joining us?"
Harry felt like he was about to remember who Gregorovitch was. This person seemed to be connected to Ollivander somehow.
"Albert will help," Sirius confirmed.
"I think the Defense Association should be able to rescue them," Harry said, not quite understanding why Albert had entrusted this task to the Order of the Phoenix.
"It's probably because of the resettlement of the rescued people, and the members of the Defense Association lack combat experience in certain areas," Sirius said, knowing Albert better than Arthur.
"I know now," Harry suddenly exclaimed. "I know who Gregorovitch is."
Mr. Weasley and Sirius exchanged glances.
"Gregorovitch is a foreign wandmaker," Harry said excitedly. "He made Krum's wand."
"Since the mysterious man already has Ollivander, why does he need another wandmaker?" Mr. Weasley asked, his brow furrowed.
Perhaps he wanted to unravel the secrets of the two wands, or...
Having figured out who Gregorovitch was, Harry suddenly felt that Albert's discovery of Ollivander's location might not have been a coincidence. Perhaps there was some connection between them.
"Is Voldemort trying to find the Elder Wand?" Harry blurted out.
That was the only possible explanation for his relentless pursuit of Gregorovitch.
But the Elder Wand was with Albert.
Harry's expression grew stranger by the second, and he felt that Albert was playing a grand game.
