Chapter 133: Robot Rampage (Second Update)
Chapter 133: Robot Rampage (Second Update)
As Iron Man shot into the sky, the robots on the stage immediately turned their guns and unleashed a barrage of bullets. In an instant, the glass above the Exhibition Hall was shattered into pieces.
"Air Shield!"
Jerry raised his right hand, and an invisible Air Shield formed above him, blocking the glass shards that might have injured Elsa and the others from falling.
"God, is Hammer insane? How dare he command the robots to attack here!"
At this moment, Pizarro, or rather, most people, assumed that Hammer was the mastermind behind this, considering he was the one who produced these robots.
"Quick, get out of here! It's not safe!"
Seeing that half of the robots were chasing Tony, while the other half, which couldn't fly, leaped off the stage and charged forward, Hass quickly picked up Elsa and shouted to Jerry, Belle, and Pizarro to follow.
Belle, hearing this, hurriedly helped Pizarro and joined Hass as they evacuated the Exhibition Hall.
The army and special forces robots completely disregarded the safety of the audience below. As they jumped off the stage and ran outside, anyone who got in their way was mercilessly knocked aside.
Being hit by a three-meter-tall, fully steel robot at full speed was likely no better than being run over by a car on the street.
Moreover, these robots were firing their shoulder-mounted machine guns and grenade launchers at Iron Man, who was battling the Air Robots in the sky. Many of the attacks missed the fast-moving Iron Man and instead struck the surrounding buildings and crowds, causing blood to splatter.
"Oh no!"
Just as Hass and the others were about to escape the Exhibition Hall, a general in military uniform, who was also fleeing, was directly hit by a Ground Robot. He was thrown into the screaming crowd, spitting blood, and was likely severely injured.
The robot, moving at incredible speed, quickly reached behind Belle, who was supporting Pizarro. Belle had inadvertently blocked the robot's path, and it showed no intention of avoiding her.
"Watch out!"
Hass immediately released Jerry's hand, drew his Police Pistol, and fired two shots at the robot, trying to stop it.
However, the ordinary Police Pistol's firepower was no match for the heavily armored war robots. The bullets bounced off the robot's steel body without leaving a dent.
Seeing that Belle was about to be hit, Hass handed Elsa to Jerry and took a large step behind Belle. He pushed her away and then slammed into the approaching robot with all his might.
Hass was clearly planning to use his own body to stop the three-meter-tall robot, buying time for everyone to escape.
"Boom!"
The loud sound was not of Hass being knocked away by the robot, but rather of the robot being sent flying backward, crashing heavily to the ground.
Hass was stunned to see the robot fly backward. What happened? He didn't even touch the robot, so why did it fly away? Could there be a malfunction?
"Hass, are you okay!"
"I'm fine, let's go!"
Seeing Belle supporting Pizarro with a worried look, Hass didn't have time to think about the situation in detail. He quickly picked up Elsa again and pulled Jerry, continuing their escape outside.
At this moment, Jerry silently retracted his right hand.
Actually, when the robot was about to collide with Teacher Belle, Jerry had already sensed it in advance.
However, he didn't intervene at the time because he believed that such a crisis was the perfect opportunity to showcase Hass's strengths. Every action Hass took next would significantly improve Pizarro's opinion of him.
So, just as the robot was about to hit Hass, Jerry quietly raised his hand and unleashed a full-power Air Cannon, sending the robot flying.
With so many people around, especially with Black Widow nearby, Jerry couldn't use any obvious magic. He could only use the invisible Air Cannon to temporarily defuse the situation.
The Air Cannon, while not capable of damaging the robot, was enough to knock it away and prevent it from injuring Hass.
To truly deal with these robots, more powerful magic would be needed.
"You drive and leave first. I'll go back and check!"
After helping Belle and the others into Pizarro's car, Hass gave a few instructions and turned to run back toward the Exhibition Hall.
As a police officer, although Hass always advised Jerry not to take unnecessary risks to avoid danger, he himself never shied away from a challenge.
Even if he couldn't handle the robots, he could at least rescue the ordinary citizens who were injured by them.
"Be careful!"
Belle, though worried, didn't try to stop him. After Hass left, she turned to Pizarro, who was about to start the car, and said:
"Father, this is why I like Hass. He is brave, kind, and just. When I'm in danger, he will unhesitatingly risk his life to protect me!
Can any of the young elites you know do the same? Apart from being better at making money, what else do they have that I should admire?"
Hearing his daughter's words, Pizarro fell silent for a moment before he sighed and replied:
"Belle, perhaps this time your choice is right!"
"Stupefy!"
As Pizarro was about to start the car and leave, Jerry flicked his fingers, quietly casting three sleeping charms.
He couldn't leave now; he was worried about Hass's safety, and this situation presented a good opportunity to earn more Little Red Stars.
For over a week, his Little Red Star reserves had dwindled significantly.
Using Telekinesis Charm, Jerry opened the car door and moved the entire vehicle, along with Belle and the others inside, into the box space's lawn. He then found an alley, changed into his wizard robe, and rode his flying broom toward the square near the Exhibition Hall.
In the air above the square, Iron Man was fighting alone. He had to dodge the flying robots and Colonel Rhodes's pursuit while also avoiding attacks from the ground robots below.
For now, he could only use his speed and agility to guide the remote-controlled robots into collisions in the air.
He wanted to lead the robots away from the city and then eliminate them one by one, but the War Armor that Rhodey wore, which he had personally designed, was almost as capable as his own. As a result, he couldn't shake them off in the short term.
