Chapter 1326: Entering the Battlefield Directly
Chapter 1326: Entering the Battlefield Directly
A pirate shouted, "It's Crocodile!"
But it wasn't just Crocodile—every remaining member of the Seven Warlords of the Sea sprang into action.
William transformed into steam and soared to the other end of the plaza, condensing back into human form. Palm slammed his hands onto the ground, glaring at the approaching pirates.
"Steam Cataclysm!!"
Boom! Boom! Boom!!
Scalding steam pillars erupted from the ground, filling the air with searing heat. The pirates' skin blistered as if scorched by fire. Screaming, they clutched their necks, suffocating in the dense vapor.
"My Style: Whirlpool!"
Joe Rudolph drew his fist to his waist and launched a straight punch at the charging pirates. The air twisted like a spiraling wisp of tornado, hurling the enemies skyward.
Katakuri reversed his grip on the Trident, appearing before another group of pirates. His voice was icy: "This path is closed."
Bang!
He swung his weapon, releasing a shockwave of External Release Haki from the trident. Bodies flew like ragdolls.
Boa Hancock flipped backward, her long legs spinning like petrifying whirlpools. Each kick turned opponents to stone. Landing gracefully, she stood on one leg, her gaze haughty. "Don't disturb this one—I'm furious now!"
She wouldn't strike Luffy, but these pirates? She'd gladly fight—because she was a Seven Warlords of the Sea.
Dracule Mihawk slashed his blade, sending a colossal arc of steel toward the pirates. But as the slash neared, a figure dashed forward, deflecting the strike in a flash.
Zoro!
"Hey", he grinned at Mihawk, teeth gleaming.
Mihawk's lips curled. "Will you challenge me again, Roronoa Zoro?"
Zoro knelt, planting his dual blades into the ground. He pulled a cloth sack from his waist and tied it over his head.
"This time... I won't lose."
"Admirable resolve." Mihawk gripped his Black Blade with both hands, eyes narrowing like a hawk's. "Then prove if you have the strength to challenge the world's second-greatest swordsman—the one who dares defy the World's Greatest."
The two locked eyes. Pressure thickened. Then, in a blur, they vanished. Dust and smoke erupted as black and white blades clashed.
Clang!!
"Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!"
Buggy's eyes bulged. He sprinted backward, pursued by ferocious pirates.
"Stop chasing me! I'm a Seven Warlords of the Sea too—show some respect!"
"Shine!"
A pirate leapt mid-air, cleaving downward. Buggy split in half, his speed slowing. The pirates closed in, hacking him into chaos. He shattered like glass.
Buggy's head soared, screaming: "Unforgivable!! Taste my Old Man's Buggy Ball!!"
His fragmented body slithered from the crowd, reassembling into a headless form. It kicked, launching a tiny bullet into the pirate group.
Boom!!
An explosion roared, sending charred bodies sprawling.
"Eh?" Buggy's head blinked, then his body laughed, hands on hips: "Hahaha! See that? That's the power of Lord Buggy!"
Fen Ni observed the explosion's aftermath, nodding. Her virus didn't need proximity—it infected on contact, weakening foes over time. Slow-acting, but non-contagious. Safe for allies.
But it wasn't enough.
Kuro's selected pirates were elites. Though some Navy officers shone, their attacks lacked lethality. The pirates fought with skill, their Haki attainments high, techniques unique. The battle stagnated, the pirates pressing forward.
Leading them was a Luffy-lookalike, monkey-agile, sprinting ahead.
"Red-Haired Shanks!!"
Luffy roared at the execution platform: "Don't worry—I'm here to save you!!"
"Is that Luffy?"
Yi Xiao perked his ears, rising to draw his Staff Sword fully. "Then let this old man stop him."
"Yi Xiao, Brother—"
A voice echoed above. Kuro spat out smoke on the platform, grinning. "Let's fight together."
"Will you act now, Kuro?" Yi Xiao asked.
Kuro stubbed his cigar on the platform, crushing it underfoot. "Why hold back? Ending this quickly is a good thing."
Yi Xiao unsheathed his Staff Sword. "Then I'll cooperate."
Kuro raised five fingers at the battling pirates, then lowered his gaze to Shanks. "Know why I only let this many participate? Besides the frontlines being tied up with pirates... it's because—"
He clenched his fist.
"A few elites move better than many."
A piercing whistle split the sky.
Yi Xiao tightened his grip, slashing in sync with Kuro's gesture.
Boom!!
Gravity compressed. Navy and pirate alike slowed, weighed down.
From above, afterimages rained down—too fast to track. By the time they looked up, the attack had arrived.
Bang! Bang! Bang!!
Blades pierced downward. Only a few blocked with Haki. Blood sprayed, staining the plaza red.
"Oh? Not bad, elites. Dodging that."
Kuro smirked. Most blades had struck shoulders or limbs—blocked, not fatal.
"But—" He tilted his head. "Can you survive the second wave?"
Gravity lifted. The Navy surged forward, blood painting the battlefield anew. Some pirates collapsed.
The sky darkened. A storm of blades descended, aligning on the pirates, cold gleams flashing.
"How many times can you evade my attacks, pirates?" Kuro laughed.
