Chapter 132: Who is He? 【55】
Chapter 132: Who is He? 【55】
In a small town, somewhere far away...
Feng Ye had just finished bathing and changing into a fresh set of clothes in his inn room. He now held a scroll in his hands, studying it intently as he sat on his bed.
Inscribed on the scroll were secret techniques pertaining to the Third Raikage's Lightning Release Chakra Mode.
Of course, the information was not complete.
This secret technique had been extracted from the Third Raikage's brain by an intelligence department ninja while handling the Raikage's corpse. However, due to the Raikage's death, the information was fragmented and incomplete, with a significant portion still missing even after meticulous organization and analysis.
Feng Ye wasn't particularly interested in the secret of the Raikage's Lightning Release Chakra Mode itself. After all, his Eight Gates Lightning Release technique far surpassed it in power.
What intrigued him, however, was the knowledge embedded within about the cultivation and manipulation of Lightning Release ninjutsu—even Orochimaru didn't measure up in this regard.
It was common knowledge that the Cloud ninjas were experts in Lightning Release, and the Third Raikage had been at the pinnacle of Lightning Release ninjutsu. His understanding and control of Lightning Release techniques far exceeded that of Orochimaru.
This was the part worth emulating.
Feng Ye's control over Lightning Release Chakra was somewhat lacking, partly due to the inherently violent nature of the Eight Gates Lightning Release, which made it difficult to harness.
"Lightning Release Secret Technique... Hell Stab..." Feng Ye murmured to himself as he perused the scroll.
Hell Stab was merely a B-rank ninjutsu, but due to the Third Raikage's formidable physique and his unbelievably strong control over Lightning Release Chakra, the power of this technique nearly surpassed that of an S-rank ninjutsu.
The scroll detailed how, when using Hell Stab, the arm essentially becomes a 'vessel' for Lightning Release Chakra, similar to his short sword, White Fang, and the legendary Kusanagi Sword.
By using the arm as a 'vessel' to channel and concentrate a large amount of chakra, one could harness the flowing nature of chakra, resulting in an incredibly sharp and piercing attack.
The key to this technique lay in two aspects: transforming the arm into a vessel and achieving a high degree of chakra concentration, which required enhancing one's control over their chakra.
And the method to enhance control over Lightning Release Chakra was...
The first half of the scroll, which detailed how to transform the arm into a vessel, was relatively intact. However, the latter half, which focused on chakra control, was fragmented, with crucial parts missing, especially towards the end.
"This content is so fragmented..." Feng Ye couldn't help but feel a bit frustrated.
He wasn't sure whether to blame the Third Raikage or the intelligence department ninja.
After all, it was thanks to the efforts of the ninja that he even had access to this scroll, and the author who organized the information had clearly done their best. He could only sympathize with their difficulties.
As for the Third Raikage, he was already dead, and blaming him for not leaving more information would likely only earn a scathing retort along the lines of, "What more do you want from me?!"
Fortunately, the information about the 'vessel' was mostly complete.
Upon studying this section, Feng Ye realized that it could be extremely useful to him. He could apply the method of training his arm to become a vessel to his entire body!
While this approach would undoubtedly result in a less powerful arm, it would make his body more adaptable to Lightning Release Chakra. This, in turn, would not only make it easier to control but might also make it simpler to break through the sixth gate of the Eight Gates!
"As for these two missing parts... hmm, they should be something like this."
Based on his understanding and the context of the surrounding text, Feng Ye attempted to fill in the gaps in the information about the 'vessel.'
As he did so, he performed simple experiments on his arm, unafraid of any potential consequences since he could always rewind time and undo any mistakes.
After about half a day, Feng Ye confirmed that the portions he had filled in were correct.
Instead of rushing into cultivation, he continued to analyze the scroll, attempting to reconstruct the missing parts about controlling Lightning Attribute Chakra.
This section was far more complex to piece together, as some of the missing parts weren't just a word or a short phrase but entire paragraphs. Even with the context provided by the surrounding text, he could only make rough guesses about the content and couldn't fill in the specifics.
"Hmm..."
Feng Ye stretched his body and deactivated the 4x speed, intending to go out for a meal.
Just then, his eyes narrowed, and he stood up, walking to the window. Pulling aside the curtain, he gazed in a particular direction.
In that direction, he could vaguely make out ninjas clashing with each other. One group wore the forehead protector of Konoha, while the other group seemed vaguely familiar to him.
...
On the town's streets, about a dozen ninjas with Konoha's forehead protectors faced off against less than ten ninjas donning Amegakure's forehead protectors.
"Stop!"
"You're Konoha ninjas, aren't you? What are you trying to do by attacking this town?! There are no Amegakure ninjas here, only innocent civilians!"
Yahiko defended against the onslaught while gritting his teeth and shouting at the opposing ninjas.
However, the Konoha ninjas ignored him completely, their expressions cold as they relentlessly launched attacks. Their techniques were vicious, putting Yahiko and his companions in grave danger.
"Damn it..."
"They're not even listening..."
Yahiko clenched his teeth in frustration at their lack of response.
Konan, surrounded by three ninjas, manipulated her paper shuriken for defense while calling out to Yahiko, "Yahiko, what should we do?!"
If they continued fighting, they would surely lose. But if they retreated, the town would likely suffer at the hands of these attackers.
Yahiko bit his lip, torn between choices.
"Earth Style: Ground Nuclear Blast!"
Suddenly, one of the Konoha ninjas performed an Earth Style jutsu, catching Konan off guard. The ground beneath her feet erupted, sending her flying into the air.
A ninja with a short sword rushed forward and pierced Konan's body, but in the next moment, her body transformed into countless paper shards that scattered in the wind.
"Yahiko, this isn't working!"
One of the ninjas shouted to Yahiko, "Let's retreat! We can't stop them!"
Manipulating Water Style jutsu to defend against the attacks, Yahiko gritted his teeth and said, "Damn it... How could this be... Konoha ninjas..."
Just then, a voice rang out from a nearby rooftop.
"Which unit are you from, and what is your mission?"
The voice startled Yahiko, and even the Konoha ninjas turned to look.
On the railing above the roof, a figure appeared, wearing a straw hat and a Konoha forehead protector. He looked to be around fifteen or sixteen years old, not much older than Yahiko and his companions.
However.
Despite their similar ages, the figure's tone and demeanor carried an air of authority as if an upper-level shinobi were addressing subordinates.
Feng Ye's arrival caused the tense situation to pause momentarily. Yahiko furrowed his brows, a perplexed thought forming in his mind.
Who is he?
Longmen, Konan, and the others also sensed the anomaly and looked at Feng Ye with suspicion. The 'Konoha ninjas' attacking them had almost entirely ceased their movements.
"Silver Flash of Konoha?!"
"Retreat! Retreat quickly!"
Upon recognizing Feng Ye's identity, one of the attackers broke into a cold sweat, their eyes revealing a mix of tension and shock. They never expected to encounter Konoha's Silver Flash in the Rain Country!
Although it seemed hard to believe, there was no mistaking his appearance and the Kusanagi Sword he carried.
Seeing this group of 'Konoha ninjas' immediately turn tail and flee, Feng Ye understood the situation and coldly said, "So they're not Konoha ninjas after all..."
