Chapter 1309: The Council Hall
Chapter 1309: The Council Hall
March 6, 2024
Su Yu was in another conference room, listening to the discussions from a few rooms away. He nodded in agreement.
Feg's agricultural technology was highly advanced and not too complex, making it easy to replicate on Blue Star. However, as Xiaotian pointed out, they lacked the funds!
If they had an endless supply of money, they could immediately introduce Feg's technology and build a Dyson Sphere around the sun. They could even construct hundreds of specialized agricultural sectors, just like in Feg's hub, and countless agricultural space cities...
But the problem was, they had no money.
Not only did they lack funds, but many of their fellow humans in the Soul Space still needed to be given physical bodies, which was already a bottomless pit. Now, they had another one.
"Ah, just thinking about it makes me want to pull my hair out," Su Yu sighed softly.
He then turned to AI Blue Whale and asked, "Blue Whale, do you have any suggestions for quickly making money?"
"Administrator Su Yu, I have no suggestions," Blue Whale replied calmly. "All I can do is provide everyone with the information I have from Feg's hub. You can use the information gap to make a profit.
In fact, the Blue Star Adventurers' Guild's development to this point is largely due to the information gap, accounting for at least 70-80% of the credit.
But as for how to quickly make money, I cannot provide any ideas. All the methods that can quickly earn large amounts of Holy Silver Coins are recorded in Feg's hub legal documents."
"..." Su Yu didn't say anything more.
Indeed, making a fortune was not easy, especially in these chaotic times.
He glanced at the time; it was ten minutes to ten, and it was time for him to leave.
So, Su Yu put the idea of making money aside for the moment. He picked up a headset from the table to his right, put it on, closed his eyes, and pressed the activation button.
As the headset activated, a red light in the center of the device lit up, and a thread of Su Yu's mental energy was transmitted to Sector 1 through the device.
Shortly after, Su Yu's virtual projection appeared in the council hall of the Expansion City Council Headquarters in Sector 1.
"Expansion City" was the first city to appear in the Feg system, where the Holy Silver People first arrived in the Feg system.
Expansion City was not only the capital of Sector 1 but also the capital of the entire Feg hub.
In fact, out of the 100 hub systems in the Milky Way, 93 of them had their capitals named "Expansion City." The other seven had their own unique stories.
The council headquarters located in the eastern suburbs of Expansion City was the current power center of the Feg hub.
Su Yu's virtual projection appeared on the stage to the right of the council hall.
Looking around, he immediately recognized this as the council's regular meeting place, the same one broadcast to the public.
At the front of the hall was a large podium, behind which were the seats for eight Star-Constant entities.
In front of the podium were the seats for 873 Planet-Stage cultivators.
But soon, there would be 874, as a new seat for Su Yu would be added.
The council had instructed Su Yu to arrive ten minutes early, while other council members were to arrive fifteen minutes early.
So, when Su Yu's mental energy arrived, he saw that almost all the council members were already present.
Six of the eight Star-Constant entities had arrived, and more than seven hundred of the 873 Planet-Stage cultivators were already in their seats.
Su Yu's projection appeared on the stage to the right of the podium.
Noticing Su Yu, all eyes immediately turned to him, as if he were a giant panda on Blue Star.
Everyone knew Su Yu was the focus of this council meeting.
And the most important point was—this guy was actually at the Planet-Stage!
Regardless of whether they were Star-Constant or Planet-Stage, everyone knew Su Yu. After all, the storm he caused a year and a half ago was so significant that he could be considered the greatest eighth-stage cultivator in history.
But now, this guy was at the Planet-Stage?!
It was like buying a bag of apples at the supermarket one evening and finding out the next morning that the bag had turned into a bag of iPhones! It was as bizarre as it gets!
All eyes were fixed on Su Yu, unable to look away.
...
However, Su Yu remained calm.
Facing so many eyes, he was neither nervous nor anxious.
He politely bowed to the Planet-Stage cultivators and said, "Hello everyone, I am Su Yu, a Planet-Stage cultivator. I used to call myself an eighth-stage cultivator due to my cultivation method."
"..." Immediately, a murmur of excitement rippled through the audience.
Since everyone was a virtual projection, they couldn't use their mental energy to communicate with nearby colleagues and could only speak aloud. Su Yu's words quickly sparked a lot of discussion, and the hall became quite lively.
At that moment, a deep voice echoed through the hall, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is Su Yu. I don't need to introduce him, do I?"
The speaker was Acting Chairman Lawrence Lemore.
"During the meeting, I will introduce Su Yu to the public and announce his entry into the council as one of us."
He then looked at Su Yu, "Lord Su Yu, please prepare to explain yourself to the public during the meeting."
"No problem, Acting Chairman," Su Yu turned and bowed to him.
"Make sure you explain well," Lemore added, "and don't forget to clarify your intentions. You didn't contribute a Level 4 AI without a purpose, right?"
Su Yu was taken aback but quickly replied, "My purpose is for the future of the hub. A Level 4 AI can solve the hub's security issues in the short term, and its long-term benefits are immeasurable!"
Acting Chairman Lemore smiled, "So, you have no ulterior motives? No private considerations?"
"None!" Su Yu answered seriously.
"Good, I hope you're telling the truth," Lemore smiled and fell silent.
"Hah, I hope you're telling the truth too," General Darando chimed in.
