Chapter 130: Legend's Man
Chapter 130: Legend's Man
After unleashing a barrage of firepower attacks, Capone Bege had no intention of lingering. Explosions kicked up a storm of dust, engulfing Kuro, but he cast one last glance at Law before vanishing completely.
In his place appeared multiple pirates from the Heist Gang, swapping positions with surrounding debris and splintered wood. They opened fire and slashed at the smoke-wreathed figure before vanishing again, this time replaced by scattered metallic components.
"Reflection!"
Eustass Kid bellowed as the parts materialized around the target. With a whistling roar, they hurtled toward the figure, shattering smoke to form a crushing metallic shell.
"Ha!"
Law exhaled sharply, feeling the toll of his overused abilities. Yet his lips curled into a smile as he stared at the trapped form.
"We've won! Room!"
The metal erupted into cannonball bullets, bombarding the shell with renewed explosions, stirring fresh smoke. Two relentless barrages, combined with Kid's "Reflection" and the pirates' coordinated strikes—
"Your turn now!"
Krak!
Urouge's fist cracked like thunder as his massive frame vanished alongside healed allies Hawkins and X Drake.
The trio reappeared around Kuro, completing their transformations in unison.
"That slash you left me still aches—time to repay the karma!"
Urouge's body expanded to a seven-meter colossus. X Drake morphed into an Allosaurus, while Hawkins became his Straw Man form. The three titans charged the smoke.
Yet among them, X Drake hesitated, his speed lagging. His eyes flickered with reluctant doubt.
To kill a promising Marine prodigy here...
A part of him wanted to save this youth. But duty prevailed—
"The plan must not be compromised! Sacrifices already made... cannot be in vain!"
Teeth bared, X Drake struck.
Lida, munching on a snack atop a boulder, nearly choked laughing.
"What's so funny?" Klah asked.
"Happy thoughts", Lida chuckled. "Look at these fools! After all their tricks, they can't even touch Kuro's shadow! Hilarious, right?"
Klah adjusted his glasses, wiping sweat.
To him, the attackers were monsters. If he were Kuro, he'd be reduced to dust by now.
As the titans descended, the smoke figure seemingly thrust upward three times.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The giants flew skyward, crashing from the heavens. Kuro emerged from the haze, his Armored Haki intact, clutching a captive.
"Hey, let go!"
Jewelry Bonney thrashed, wrists gripped in Kuro's single hand as she dragged across the ground.
Kuro scratched his head, grinning. "That was close! You guys really scared me!"
Dense attacks layered with hidden threats—Law's intricate strategy even concealed Jewelry Bonney as Plan B. Had his Haki been weaker, he'd have fallen to her.
Law slammed his blade into the earth, roaring. "You mean to say you're unscathed after all that?!"
His Plan A relied on overwhelming force to crack Armored Haki. Plan B—Jewelry Bonney—had already been deployed during the chaotic exchanges, leveraging his Room ability.
Yet Plan B failed too.
Even this Devil Fruit user, this "Bug", had been effortlessly caught.
"Hey-Wey GO!"
A rhythmic shout pierced the air. Explosions erupted across Kuro's face and chest, buying Jewelry Bonney a fleeting chance to strike his exposed torso—the fatal touch!
Law's eyes gleamed.
Plan C! Anticipating Bonney's failure, he'd hidden Scratchmen Apoo's Sound Wave ability—a final gambit to exploit Kuro's momentary relaxation.
"You thought I was on the second floor... but I was already on the third!"
Crash!
Kuro's boot sent Jewelry Bonney soaring. Wiping smoke from his face, he let his Armored Haki dissipate slightly, fingers pinched together in a mocking gesture at Law.
"Excellent work. You almost had me... just a hair's breadth away."
Third floor shattered. The crew's faces turned grim.
Eustass Kid's expression darkened. Even he couldn't withstand such a barrage from fellow Super Novas.
What monster remains nameless?
Wait—Killer once mentioned a rumor...
"You're Klah!"
"Huh?" Klah blinked, startled by Kid's sudden shout.
"Klah?" The crew echoed, turning.
Kid's face twisted. "Killer told me about a Marine in the East Blue rumored to rival the World's Greatest Swordsman, Dracule Mihawk. I thought it was World Government propaganda... but it's true!"
"A swordsman capable of challenging the World's Greatest Swordsman?!" Scratchmen Apoo gasped.
Hawkins nodded, regrouping with Urouge and X Drake. "So we four lost honorably to Klah, right?"
"Challenging a Warlord of the Sea!" Urouge shuddered.
Capone Bege scowled. "Wish we'd left earlier."
Jewelry Bonney clutched her aching chest. "Seven Warlords, huh? Klah... I won't let you go!"
X Drake studied Kuro, narrowing his eyes.
So this Marine's strength rivals legends...
He'd worried about this prodigy's fate. But now?
"If he survives..."
A grim realization settled.
Survival meant they faced a Warlord-level threat.
"What if I die here?"
