Chapter 130: Alola's Shock
Chapter 130: Alola's Shock
As they spoke, a Butterfree suddenly landed next to Naoki, its gaze shifting towards the entrance of the ranch.
"Chiri!"
Following its gaze, Naoki spotted a familiar figure.
A buff and muscular man stood before them.
Naoki raised an eyebrow and approached, but before he could utter a word, Alola enthusiastically greeted him with a wave.
"Long time no see, Naoki! Do you remember me? We met at Frost Mountain!"
"Of course!" Naoki replied.
The impression of this trainer, who only captured muscular Pokemon, was indeed profound.
Naoki welcomed Alola into the ranch.
Alola surveyed the surroundings, his eyes falling on the neatly arranged furrows. The soil appeared freshly tilled, soft and ready for planting.
"Wow, you're really a farmer!" Alola exclaimed, astonished.
Alola had been skeptical, and to prove his point, he had specifically come to Drizzli Town. Upon inquiring, he discovered that there truly was a ranch owned by Naoki nearby.
"So, as you can see, I never lied to you," Naoki said helplessly. "I just tilled this field a couple of days ago, and I plan to start planting the summer crops soon."
He took Alola on a casual stroll around the ranch, introducing him to the various aspects of his ranch.
"This is the goat pen. The magical goat milk I mentioned before comes from these three Ride Goats."
"And over here is the Salt House. The Saltrox and Salandit produce rock salt, which you can also find in the Drizzli Market."
"This is where the Miltank live. You must have tried the Moomoo Milk they produce, right?"
Alola nodded. Indeed, it was thanks to that milk that he had become so robust.
"Here's the chicken coop. The eggs laid by these ordinary chickens are also sold in the Drizzli Market, eventually becoming delicious fried eggs for people to enjoy."
"As for that Diglett by the entrance, its current job is to manage the chicken coops on the ranch."
Alola looked up, his eyes widening at the sight of the Diglett, cloaked in a red cape, floating steadily in mid-air. "Is that a Diglett?" he asked, dumbfounded.
Naoki nodded. "Indeed."
"But... I may not be from the Alola region, but I know that Diglett is an Electric and Fighting-type Pokemon. How is it flying?" Alola questioned, bewildered.
Naoki was already accustomed to such reactions.
"Well, of course, this Diglett is a genius!" he began, spinning a tale. "You've heard of electromagnetic levitation, right?"
"Yes..." Alola replied slowly.
"Through rigorous training, this Diglett has mastered the ability to levitate using electromagnetic forces," Naoki explained convincingly.
Alola's face was a picture of confusion.
Just then, a dazzling green light erupted from the other side of the ranch.
Alola turned to see one of the Ride Goats, which had been lying down eating, now standing tall.
What happened next left him questioning his very existence.
The three Ride Goats were enveloped in swirling green light, illuminating the entire goat pen and continuing to expand outward.
It was as if this wasn't a simple goat pen but rather a grand stage for Pokemon Hollywood stars.
And Alola, the traveling trainer, had transformed into an audience member, witnessing a spectacular performance.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Alola exclaimed, rubbing his head in disbelief. "Are those still the Ride Goats I know?"
Naoki remained silent.
Alola rubbed his eyes, confirming that his vision wasn't playing tricks on him.
He thought of the Golurk, the flying Diglett, and now these peculiar Ride Goats.
At that moment, Alola couldn't help but ask, "Are these also Pokemon that you've cultivated?"
Alola took a deep breath. "...Where is there a six-year-old girl who's an Elite Four member?"
At that moment, Naoki suddenly recalled that one of the four Elite members of the Patia League, Popi, had not yet been born.
He replied mysteriously, "One day, you will hear her name."
Hearing this, Alola's expression changed as if a thought had occurred to him. He hastily interjected, "Wait! You're not planning on waiting until you get married and have children, then passing on these Pokemon to your daughter and having her become an Elite Four member, are you?"
"..."
Naoki was left speechless for a moment, so he changed the subject and began promoting his goat milk.
Soon after, Alola saw the young man in front of him take out a bottle of goat milk from somewhere.
"Care for a bottle? It's fresh goat milk that can make Pokemon stronger, and it's only 600 League dollars a bottle!"
Alola looked at the three Ride Goats and asked, "Did they become so formidable because they drank this goat milk?"
Naoki thought for a moment and replied, "That's just one of the reasons."
Upon hearing this, Alola fell into deep thought.
He recalled that when he was inquiring about Naoki's ranch in Drizzli Town, he had heard from the town's residents about the magical goat milk that was sold there.
It was said that drinking this goat milk would make one feel energized all over, and Pokemon that had lost their battling abilities would immediately recover after consuming it.
There were even tales of long-term drinkers of the milk, bedridden for years, suddenly getting out of bed and walking again.
But... could this ordinary-looking bottle of goat milk truly possess such miraculous effects?
After pondering for a moment, Alola took out his wallet and drew out several League dollars. "I'll take one!"
"Sure."
Naoki waved his hand, signaling Golisopod to get a bottle of packaged goat milk from the refrigerator.
Soon, the goat milk was placed in Alola's hands.
Without hesitation, Alola opened the bottle and gulped it down.
Immediately, he felt a change occurring within his body, and his face reflected his astonishment. "I feel a warmth spreading through my body!"
"Do you feel like the fatigue in your body has vanished, and you have an abundance of energy?" Naoki asked.
Alola nodded vigorously. "Yes!"
"See, I wasn't lying to you, was I?" Naoki smiled.
"This is amazing!"
After personally experiencing the effects of the goat milk, Alola was filled with wonder.
He truly believed that with long-term consumption of this goat milk, both Pokemon and humans could become stronger!
Alola's mind conjured an image of himself and his Blaziken, their bodies muscular and toned, successfully winning the world-class bodybuilding contest.
He quickly took out his wallet, counted the money inside, and handed over a large portion of it, keeping just enough for meals and travel expenses.
"I'll take ten bottles to go!"
"Alright, please wait a moment."
Soon after.
Naoki and Golisopod stood in the ranch, watching the satisfied Alola leave, and they couldn't help but sigh in admiration.
"Looks like my sales skills are pretty good, huh?"
"Agas!"
Naoki smiled and turned to walk back.
Suddenly, he heard a vibrant cicada chorus coming from the back mountain.
The river flowed with a gentle babble, and lush green lotus leaves grew on its surface.
A few wild Psyducks drifted downstream, their heads cocked curiously as they passed the ranch. They stared blankly at the shore, then grabbed onto the lotus leaves and swam to the opposite bank, where they began hopping about on the grassy field.
The temperature in the air gradually rose, bringing with it a hint of scorching heat. Everything seemed to be announcing: Summer is here! Summer is here!
