Chapter 1275: Wishing You Luck
Chapter 1275: Wishing You Luck
Unlike the others, they didn't rush to offer their congratulations to the newlyweds, figuring they would have ample opportunity to do so later and there was no need to hurry.
Albert and Isabelle grabbed a couple of pumpkin juices from the silver trays held by the "waiters" passing by, and Albert handed one to Isabelle.
They avoided the drinks and the food on the waiters' trays.
To be honest, the pies and sandwiches didn't taste that great once they had gone cold.
Most wizarding weddings served primarily drinks, and it was rare to have a bountiful spread of food like at Albert's wedding, so his nuptials had made quite an impression on many guests.
After all, not everyone had the manpower to cook delicious food, nor could they invite the Hogwarts house-elves to help like he had.
"This is a lovely tune. Shall we dance?"
As Bill and Fleur took to the dance floor first, Albert smiled and extended his hand to Isabelle, pulling her towards the dance floor without giving Harry a chance to speak.
"I think Potter has something important to discuss with you," Isabelle easily saw through Potter's intentions.
"Don't worry about him," Albert shook his head.
Even if there was something urgent, they would need to find a private place to talk, not at a wedding—did they want everyone to know their business?
"Katrina is right, I really should exercise more," Isabelle said as the two slowly spun to the music.
"Don't rush, we have all the time in the world," Albert said as he guided her in a gentle circle, catching a glimpse of Krum dancing with Hermione. Scanning the room, he spotted a sullen-faced Ron, while Harry, oblivious to his friend's mood shift, chatted with Hagrid, apparently trying to convince him to accept Albert's suggestion.
Harry had indeed changed a lot and was gradually becoming the savior he was destined to be.
After two dances, the couple slowly made their way to the edge of the dance floor and headed towards Bill and Fleur, who had also just finished dancing.
The group they had been conversing with paused their discussion, watching the two approach. They had all heard of Albert, but were surprised to see him here.
Just then, the sound of fireworks exploding outside the tent drew the attention of the other guests.
"You look so beautiful," Isabelle said admiringly to Fleur. "May your married life be filled with happiness."
"May luck be with you always," Albert added, reaching into his pocket and placing something in Bill's hand.
"This is..." Bill looked at the small golden potion vial that Albert had slipped into his hand, his eyes widening in surprise as he looked up at Albert.
"A gift," Albert said. "I think you'll find it useful."
"Thank you!"
Bill and Fleur exchanged a glance, then opened the vial and shared the Felix Felicis inside. They could certainly use some extra luck, especially with the knowledge that Death Eaters might crash the wedding.
"Let's go outside and watch the fireworks too. Fred and George have been preparing for this for a long time," Albert said, leading Isabelle out of the tent.
In the night sky, two unicorns ran side by side before bursting into a dazzling display of fireworks that illuminated the sky.
More fireworks followed, forming a portrait of Fleur and Bill kissing...
"Their skills have improved," Albert said to Isabelle, her face aglow from the fireworks. "But I still think the fireworks we had were more beautiful."
"Is this really okay?" Cedric asked as he and Cho Chang appeared beside them, also looking up at the blooming fireworks.
"It's fine!" Albert replied, considering the idea of opening a store specializing in fireworks.
There was a similar joke shop in Diagon Alley, and he could think about inviting them to join later on.
"I think I should head back," Isabelle said, kissing Albert's cheek. "Be careful."
"Remember to send me a message when you get back," Albert said, waving his wand. A house-elf appeared out of thin air, bowed slightly to Albert, and then disappeared with Isabelle.
"Is it about to start?" Cedric tensed up, knowing what Isabelle's sudden departure meant.
"I won't leave without you," Cho reassured him.
"Oh, you've misunderstood," Albert explained with a smile, noticing Cedric's anxious expression. "With Alice just born, Isabelle can't stay away for too long."
"What about that matter?" Cedric asked.
"I'm not sure about that either," Albert shook his head. "Divination isn't infallible, and I don't know the exact timing. But what will come, will come."
"Is the outcome not good?" Cedric wasn't optimistic, knowing this was a potential pitfall and worrying that Fred and George might fall into it.
"Don't worry, it's not as bad as it could be," Albert said calmly, feeling the warmth from his wrist.
The Death Eaters were actually more interested in killing Scrimgeour and taking complete control of the Ministry.
Now it was a matter of who would outsmart whom.
"When you two get married, consider ordering your fireworks from us. We'll give you a 20% discount," Fred, George, and Lee Jordan said with a smile to Cedric.
"If you give me the cost price, I'd be happy to place more orders with you," Cedric said with a smile. "I want a pair of swans."
If Albert wasn't worried, then he had no reason to be.
"At most, I can give you a 30% discount," Fred said.
"Cutthroat merchants!" Cedric complained. "You have to give me a friend's price."
"Alright, for Albert's sake, I'll give you a 50% discount. I can't go any lower," George said, clutching his chest in mock pain.
"Let me know when you're getting married," Albert said.
"I bet you still make a hefty profit," Cedric muttered.
"Fireworks are indeed very profitable, but the craftsmanship is expensive, and we have to consider research costs," Albert said to the twins. "I remember the owner of Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes selling fireworks. If he's still around after this war, let's invite him to join us and spin off the fireworks business."
"I feel like we're getting the short end of the stick here," Fred grumbled.
"You can't handle it all anyway," Albert pointed out. "There's more than enough money to go around, and it's better if we all benefit."
"It's your call," the three said, not objecting and trusting Albert's judgment.
Creating large-scale fireworks was indeed very time-consuming, and they simply didn't have the bandwidth to spare unless they were willing to give up something else.
