"I have to admit, the fight is quite intense."
Hu YinQi, this guy, was clearly up to no good, standing by as the three parties clashed in a fierce battle. Instead of joining the fray, he watched with amusement, casually chatting with the middle-aged man beside him, who was dressed as a Xianbei tribesman.
"But those three are also pretty foolish. Hu YinWen is obviously a wolf in sheep's clothing. The old chief was likely killed by him, yet they didn't see through it. And they all know the old chief wasn't killed by any of them, and there are clearly other threats around, yet they still fight each other. It's downright idiotic." Hu YinQi pretended, a hint of cunning in his eyes.
"It's not that they want to fight, but the situation is beyond their control. When the three of them came together, the decision to fight or not was no longer in their hands. The long-standing grudges and irreconcilable conflicts between them made peaceful dialogue impossible. The illusion of a peaceful standoff only needed a slight disruption, and they would be eager to destroy each other." The middle-aged man glanced at the trio and stated.
He had been in the Hu Yin tribe for some time and was familiar with all five heirs. He knew that the three before him were merely mediocre, lacking in talent and only in high positions due to their bloodline connections. Facing such opponents, he felt no sense of accomplishment in manipulating them.
The one he had met a few times, Hu YinWen, was a man of great depth, but due to his physical condition, he held little influence within the tribe. Still, he was not to be underestimated, and he was likely to become the biggest obstacle in their plan.
Hu YinQi, having traveled outside the tribe for a while, didn't recognize the old chief's guards and was unaware of their strength, which became their biggest mistake.
"My grandnephew's subordinates are quite capable. Look at them; each one is robust and could take on two opponents without issue. It seems my grandnephew is going to win this time." Hu YinQi said with a mischievous smile.
In reality, Hu Yili had the upper hand in the fight, but not to the extent Hu YinQi claimed. Hu Yili was incredibly strong, with a strength level approaching 70. What was even more astonishing was that, despite being besieged by Hu Yinyuan and Hu Yinyan, Hu Yili's strength seemed to be on the verge of breaking through, which terrified the other two, causing them to attack with desperation.
"Oh, he's about to break through. If he does, he'll reach my level. It's quite frightening to have such strength at only thirty years old."
Hu YinQi spoke of fear, but his face showed no trace of it. In his eyes, even if Hu Yili broke through, it wouldn't matter. After consecutive battles and the potential drain from the breakthrough, he'd be exhausted afterward, making it easy for Hu YinQi to finish him off.
However, Hu YinQi's relaxed expression didn't last long. Soon, he became restless, not because Hu Yili had started to break through and his strength was rapidly increasing, but because, in just a few moves, he had overwhelmed Hu Yinyuan and Hu Yinyan. It seemed that Hu Yili's reinforcements had arrived.
The first thing Hu Yili did upon entering the tent was to send his trusted ally to fetch reinforcements, a wise and necessary move. In fact, during the standoff, all three parties had made attempts to call for backup, but Hu Yili was just a step ahead.
In this situation, speed is crucial. It's a race to take the first action, and once Hu Yili's reinforcements arrive first, they can stabilize the situation.
"This kid is fast, now things are getting a bit troublesome." Hu YinQi's relaxed smile faded.
"Don't panic. Our men will hold them off, and their reinforcements won't make it in time. As long as you can take down those three, the situation will be under control! It's a pity that Hu YinWen is surprisingly vigilant and not here. If we could capture him too, the situation would be completely under our control!" said the middle-aged man.
"Hu YinWen has been getting close to the Black Wind Fort lately. He must be planning to rely on their strength."
"Black Wind Fort? Humph, if Li Hu were here, we'd have to be a bit more cautious. But since it's Li Xiong, there's nothing to worry about. Anyway, whether they're working with Hu YinWen or not, once I stabilize the situation and become the chief, not a single one of them will escape!" Hu YinQi's face turned cold, and he sneered.
"We can kill the others from Black Wind Fort, but Li Xiong must be kept alive. I have use for him," said the middle-aged man, his eyes flashing with emotion as he spoke of Li Xiong, indicating that he knew this man.
"I will make sure to deliver Li Xiong to you unharmed, sir," Hu YinQi nodded.
"Just deliver him. Keeping him completely unharmed isn't necessary. Also, Hu Yinyuan and Hu Yinyan seem to be on their last legs. It's time for you to step in," the middle-aged man said, still watching the battle ahead as he spoke to Hu YinQi.
On the battlefield, Hu Yili, already formidable, had just broken through the 70-point strength threshold. His entire body exuded an integrated aura, and he seemed to transform into a hungry wolf. In just a few moves, he shattered Hu Yinyuan's head, then violently grabbed Hu Yinyan and slamming him to the ground. The first blow left Hu Yinyan's bones seemingly shattered, and before he could recover, the second and third blows followed, crushing him to death.
This sudden burst, a strong and fierce fighting style, shocked the onlookers. The scene froze, and both Hu Yili's men and Hu Yinyuan and Hu Yinyan's followers stopped involuntarily.
After all, the battle had already reached its conclusion. What was the point of continuing?
Hu Yili stood there, his eyes like those of a hungry wolf, scanning the entire arena. No one dared to meet his gaze, and those he looked upon lowered their heads. With this stance, Hu Yili proclaimed his position as the new tribal chief.
