Chapter 1253: Internal Meeting
Chapter 1253: Internal Meeting
Eight minutes later, Travman Grider entered a virtual conference room within the public network. This room was reserved for the high-ranking officers of the Guard Corps.
At the center of the room, Commander Dalandor Manler stood solemnly.
All the other officers of ministerial rank or above had already arrived.
Everyone knew what had just transpired, and their gazes were fixed on Commander Dalandor, waiting for him to speak.
However, while their eyes were directed toward the commander, they weren't actually looking at him.
Most of their attention was focused on a figure standing beside the commander.
Travman was no exception.
Upon entering the virtual meeting room, his eyes briefly glanced at the commander before quickly settling on the figure beside him.
This figure was a red-and-blue rock man—none other than Reitodz!
Reitodz stood closest to the commander, clearly invited by Dalandor himself.
His unexpected presence here drew everyone's attention.
Feeling the weight of so many gazes, Reitodz felt a bit overwhelmed.
Despite his imposing build, he stood there meekly, barely daring to breathe.
...
Travman was the last to enter the virtual meeting room.
Seeing Travman arrive, Commander Dalandor began, "Since everyone is here, let's start."
His authoritative gaze swept over all the officers in the room, finally settling on the rock man Reitodz. "Reitodz, you go first. Is it true that Su Yu has the item he mentioned?"
Dalandor had already learned that Reitodz and Su Yu had collaborated on the press conference, so he had specifically "invited" the rock man to attend.
The other officers also turned their attention to Reitodz.
"Absolutely true!" Reitodz affirmed. "The item is real, and it has been transferred to me. It is currently in my possession."
"In your possession?" Dalandor's face showed surprise. "He trusts you that much? And it's really a Tier 4 Planetary-class Dark Thunder Dragon corpse?"
"Definitely and without a doubt!" Reitodz replied solemnly. "The dragon corpse is as intact as Su Yu described, with no exaggeration."
"!!!"
The room fell into a dead silence.
Though silent, the officers were privately messaging each other furiously:
"It looks like a gift from a Stellar-class being!"
"What kind of luck does this Su Yu have?! How could he get such a break?"
"I've lived for over 2000 years and have never heard of anyone having such good fortune."
"It's truly a heaven-defying stroke of luck!"
...
Private messages flew back and forth, but the virtual meeting room remained eerily quiet.
After several seconds of silence, a ministerial-level officer finally broke the stillness.
It was Megan Gland, the current logistics minister of the Guard Corps.
He saluted Commander Dalandor and asked, "Commander, since Su Yu has indeed received a gift from a Planetary-class being, who is this being? Is it Acting Speaker Lemo?"
His question caught the other ministers off guard.
That was a good question!
In the current hub, the only one capable of effortlessly slaying a Tier 4 Planetary-class Dark Thunder Dragon was Acting Speaker Lemo. Even the other Stellar-class beings, including the commander himself, couldn't achieve that.
Could it be him?
If it was truly the acting speaker who made the move, then they would need to reassess their relationship with Su Yu.
Commander Dalando stroked the tentacles on his chin, deep in thought.
After a moment, he said, "No, it couldn't be Lemo.
Based on my assessment, this Stellar Rank individual is not only not Lemo, but not any of the Stellar Rank members from our Fig Hub... Furthermore, I believe he doesn't even belong to the Milky Way, but rather was sent over from the Holy Silver System."
Dalando was very familiar with the situation in the hub.
After the loss of communication with the Celestial Hymn, they, the top-tier Stellar Rank beings, were like half-blind, not daring to go anywhere.
Su Yu's home planet being invaded by the Dark Energy Rebels was such a significant event, yet he was completely unaware of it, let alone Lemo.
The troops deployed to Su Yu's home planet were from the Holy Silver System, not from the Fig Hub.
Therefore, Dalando concluded that the Stellar Rank individual who appeared on Su Yu's home planet was most likely from the Holy Silver System, not from a local or nearby hub.
"From the Holy Silver System, huh?..." No one questioned the Commander's judgment.
However, this news did bring them some relief.
At the very least, it meant that the Su Yu auction incident was not part of some grand plan by the acting speaker.
Dalando turned to Raitodoz and said, "Raitodoz, I have another question for you—why did Su Yu choose to auction off the dragon corpse? Doesn't he realize how dangerous that is?"
Given the current state of the hub, auctioning such a high-value treasure was indeed extremely risky.
Even if Su Yu managed to successfully sell the treasure and get the money, he would certainly be targeted by unscrupulous strong beings.
The Fig Hub had many corrupt Planetary Rank individuals, and outside the hub, there were numerous powerful interstellar pirates lurking.
Su Yu might get the money, but he might not live long enough to spend it.
For a seemingly eighth-rank cultivator, the situation was truly perilous.
But when faced with the Commander's question, Raitodoz was completely bewildered.
This question... you're asking me?
Isn't Su Yu your alt? If you want to hype up your alt, why are you asking me?
However, he didn't dare voice his thoughts.
After some intense thinking, Raitodoz struggled to answer, "Maybe... to build momentum?"
"Build momentum? What kind of momentum?" the others were confused.
"Actually, it's like this..." Raitodoz organized his thoughts and continued, "Su Yu, like me a month ago, has a strong fondness for the Guardian Army and has always wanted to join and become a member.
However, for Su Yu, directly joining the Guardian Army didn't fit his style, so he decided to hype himself up first..."
Raitodoz took some time to explain Su Yu's plan to hype himself up and then join the Guardian Army with a grand entrance, effectively advertising the Guardian Army.
Of course, this was all Raitodoz's imagination.
During his explanation, he also praised Su Yu extensively, making him sound like a shining star.
After all, Su Yu was the Commander's alt, and no amount of praise was too much.
However, his words left everyone in the meeting room stunned, even Dalando had a puzzled look on his face.
Was Su Yu's real goal this?
Was his high-profile auction actually to advertise for the Guardian Army? Was this for real?
After Raitodoz finished speaking, the meeting room fell silent again.
Everyone was immersed in his words, their minds unable to settle for a long time.
