Chapter 125: Quick, Run!
Chapter 125: Quick, Run!
Hiss!
Another flash of blade light erupted before Urouge's massive body.
The slash still sliced diagonally from abdomen to chest, completing a "V" shape with Urouge's original wound.
This strike finally made Urouge collapse backward, his giant form shrinking back to normal size.
"Two down."
Immediately afterward, X Drake sensed a chilling aura.
The black "X" tattoo across his chest erupted with two gushes of blood, transforming into deep knife wounds.
Roar!
X Drake howled in pain, involuntarily shrinking back into human form.
"Three."
Hardly had the words fallen when Hawkins' body flashed with a wisp of blade energy, slicing diagonally from shoulder downward.
In an instant, the slash splintered into multiple directions around Hawkins, exploding into seven separate slashes attacking from all angles.
Hiss!
A deep blade wound appeared across Hawkins' chest as he collapsed to the ground.
Only then did seven severed straw dummies burst from his body.
Kuro materialized beside Hawkins, retracting his blade with a soft metallic sound.
This move—Eight Cut Flash, or something like that.
Kuro strolled toward a boulder, sat down, relit a cigar, and took a deep puff. Thick fragrant mist swirled in his mouth before exhaling.
"Phew, scary stuff. Supernovas."
Before him, four Supernovas lay sprawled—some on their backs, some face-down, motionless.
They certainly weren't dead—no way. If they actually died, he'd get credit. But with the top-tier war coming in a week, scoring points now would be suicidal.
These guys wouldn't die anytime soon. Probably rise groggily later and flee. Then he could submit a report—Gramps up top would cover for him anyway. What? Can admirals let things slide but not subordinates?
We're all seasoned seafarers here.
Besides, he wasn't holding back.
He knew exactly how hard he struck—every slash poured his strength.
These monsters surviving Grand Line's first half? Terrifying indeed.
Didn't they even knock my cigar away? Such expensive stuff!
"Kuro!"
Suddenly, a familiar voice rang from nearby.
Twisting his head, Kuro spotted two figures descending rapidly—executing Moonstep across the sky toward him.
Lida and Klah.
Landing before him, Kuro immediately noticed Lida's youthful female form. Both looked disheveled, especially Klah—blood seeped from his mouth, his body bruised and swollen.
"Noticed you're both worse for wear", Kuro asked, "Who got the better of you?"
Hey! Show me some concern instead!
My injuries are obviously worse!
Klah fumed inwardly.
Lida's arm only had a minor scrape!
"Blame that wretched Jewelry Bonney!" Lida huffed.
Klah added, "Eustass Kid too, and—"
"We also encountered..."
"I'm who you met."
The voice arrived before footsteps. From nearby, a group approached.
One carried an extremely long blade, wearing a spotted woolen hat with heavy black eye circles. A small goatee framed his confident smile.
Beside him loomed a polar bear, a hulking beast-like man in prison clothes, and pirates dressed in medical garb.
Among the mixed crowd strode a red-caped leader with flaming red hair. Goggles framed his forehead—visibly ferocious.
Beside him walked a helmeted man hiding his expression, two curved sickles at his waist. Another had pale blue skin like a zombie.
Then came a pink-haired woman with lipstick focused only at her lip's center.
The big eater—Jewelry Bonney.
"Right. We also met Trafalgar Law. He's teamed with Eustass Kid."
Klah's gaze hardened. "Two of the three wanted criminals we encountered. That's why we fled."
Lida and Bonney were trapped in their usual "anticipation battle"—circle-countercircle without action—until Kid's pirate crew arrived. Lida barely avoided serious injury, only scraping her arm from Kid's magnetically drawn weapon.
Plus Killer the Onslaught—four Supernovas they couldn't handle. Forced to escape.
Then they heard explosions nearby—probably Navy. When they arrived, they found something far sturdier...
Kuro was here.
Klah's heart steadied instantly.
"Four?"
Kuro glanced sideways, "Five actually."
From another direction came a lone figure—short, cigar clenched teeth, hands in pockets, dressed like a mobster.
"Capone Bege."
Capone approached, surveying the scene—four "corpses" beside him (also Supernovas), and a familiar massive shape nearby.
"Bartolomeo Bear? So they fought you too. Mutual destruction."
"Bear..."
Bonney stared at the fallen Pacifista, eyes wide.
"Not a bear", Law pointed at the Pacifista, grinning. "Just a robot resembling one. Not weak either."
"Robot?!"
Bonney's teeth clenched. "Damn World Government!"
"Robot?" Capone studied the Pacifista, "Looks good. I want it."
"Like hell!" Bonney snarled. "That's mine! You challenging me?!"
Capone exhaled smoke. "Back at the restaurant, I already disliked your rude behavior."
"Same here!" Bonney glared at Lida. "You woman, I've disliked everyone here!"
"You're the one I dislike!" Lida pressed against Kuro. "Kuro, I'm clearly bigger and slimmer around the waist!"
...
Kuro looked at Lida clinging to him, then Jewelry Bonney across the way.
Tough choice.
Was this really the time?
Klah noticed the four 100 million+ pirates nearby.
"Over 100 million bounties?" He gasped inwardly.
Five more made nine total.
Including Luffy's crew, this island held at least eleven 100 million+ pirates!
If this was all, then besides Luffy's group, everyone else was here.
"Let's treat them first. Being on the same island, it'll help split attention when we leave."
Law ordered. Medical crews rushed forward to treat the Supernovas.
"Oh? There's a little Navy here too."
Kid approached, grinning nastily. "You two came here chasing this little Navy?"
Capone sneered. "Navy? Just a small fry. Run along. Next is pirate business."
"No way! I'm taking this woman down!"
Bonney snapped at Bege, pointing at Lida. "I anticipated your anticipation!"
"Shut up! I anticipated your anticipation!" Lida turned, arguing face-to-face.
A medic helped Hawkins upright. His eyes fluttered open, glancing at the surrounding Supernovas.
"Thanks", he murmured.
"Still talking? Seems energetic!" Law chuckled, turning toward Kuro with malicious amusement. "Boss Bege's right. Navy—if you don't run now, someone'll lose patience. Unless you're too scared to move?"
Hawkins fell silent, then slowly said, "Run quickly."
"See? They're all telling you to run!" Law laughed.
"Hmph." Kid smirked—bored of small fry Navies, but the current situation amused him.
Capone rotated his cigar, exhaling smoke.
Jewelry Bonney crossed arms, watching Kuro with interest.
Subtly, four factions encircled him.
"Where'll you run to?" Law teased.
Kuro glanced around, stood, dusted off slowly.
"He means—run, you."
