Chapter 1225: Full Conquest of Wano Country
Chapter 1225: Full Conquest of Wano Country
Donald almost laughed at that remark. His footwork shifted, his body flickering like cold light as he lunged forward with a spear strike.
Yin Lawa’s pupils constricted. Instinctively dodging sideways, he countered with a punch.
Clang!
The fist slammed against the spear’s edge, producing a crisp ringing sound.
“You call that an ‘ideal’? Do you really think your ideals can surpass the Kuroadmiral’s? Or even outshine the Kuroadmiral’s Justice? I don’t believe it.”
Donald scoffed.
True, he couldn’t grasp Kuroadmiral’s words as deeply as Kasvice Admiral or Wilburvice Admiral might. He only understood their surface meanings.
But he’d at least walked beside Kasvice Admiral. Even if he couldn’t comprehend Kuroadmiral’s wisdom, he could still grasp Kasvice Admiral’s teachings.
That ideal. That Justice.
How could a pirate dare claim they didn’t understand?
“Spare me the nonsense! What’s so special about an Admiral? You lot only care about the World Government’s interests, unlike the ‘Red’ officer!”
Yin Lawa’s fist pushed against Donald’s spear, forcing it aside. His body coiled like a hyena, launching a brutal punch toward Donald’s abdomen.
Donald shifted his left foot back, his arm twisting to reposition the cross spear. The punch struck the spear’s hilt, sending him stumbling backward.
The moment he blocked the strike, Donald’s foot lashed out, kicking Yin Lawa’s arm aside. Seizing the opening, he pressed forward, swinging the massive spear downward like a crushing hammer.
Yin Lawa’s feet dug into the ground, kicking up dust like a rabbit fending off an eagle. His body flipped backward, escaping the onslaught in a cloud of dust.
Donald narrowed his eyes, gripping the chain connected to the spear. The descending cross spear abruptly pivoted, hurtling toward Yin Lawa like a projectile.
Yin Lawa’s body flattened, skimming the ground as he evaded. His hands slammed the earth, his figure spiraling upward like a spinning top, narrowly dodging the flying spear.
Bang!
As he rotated midair, Yin Lawa kicked the spear’s shaft, sending it crashing to the ground. Using the recoil, his body rocketed toward Donald like a cannonball.
Whoosh!
The chain’s rattling sound erupted from behind Yin Lawa, slicing through the air and forcing him to drop lower.
The cross spear, which should have been grounded, now hovered at its original position, tethered by the chain.
Missing its mark, the spear boomeranged back, descending from the sky to reattach itself to the chain. Donald gripped it tightly.
“Tch.” Yin Lawa scoffed, “Not bad, you’ve got some tricks up your sleeve.”
Donald tightened his grip on the spear, leveling its blade at Yin Lawa. “It’s not just you who has convictions. I believe my ideals are the highest in existence—nothing you could ever hope to rival. With conviction, I’ll march forward without hesitation!”
Yin Lawa’s voice deepened. “Say what you will. Ideal Village will never be defeated. We won’t lose!”
They wouldn’t lose. Even if they hadn’t crushed the Navy as effortlessly as hoped, Constance’s plan had never hinged on that.
They would not lose!
…
Across the Grand Line, several pirate ships sailed the seas. Their vessels bore ordinary designs, their sails and flags adorned with musical notes and headphones.
On the deck of one ship, an elderly man with a long beard sat before a small round table. Chess pieces lay scattered across the board—a raised earthen mound stood at its center, surrounded by both ornate pieces and crude black stone bullets.
On one side of the mound, a black piece was surrounded by stone bullets. On the other, a black and white piece faced off.
“The former Admiral was blocked by other pirates,” the elderly man muttered, shifting his gaze to the standoff. “Yin Lawa can hold off most of the Navy. Wano Country’s forces are currently stretched thin.”
He picked up a piece, placing it atop the earthen mound. “According to our spies, Golden Lion has already left. Wano Country is unguarded. Seize control first. Our forces can enter through the ‘Stealth Port’ undetected. The Beasts Pirates and Wano Country’s samurai are already subdued by the Navy. No need for combat.”
“As long as Wano Country hears the ‘Red’ officer’s hymn, they’ll embrace our ideals, fighting alongside us for Ideal Village. With Wano Country’s samurai and the Beasts Pirates under our banner, we’ll have the strength to truly accomplish Ideal Village!”
The elderly man’s voice darkened. He turned toward the warship’s center, where pirates gazed reverently at a woman seated in the middle.
Her brown skin contrasted with her white hair, her small wings fluttering behind her as she adjusted her headphones.
The woman seemed to sense the elderly man’s gaze, offering him a warm smile.
“Thank you for your efforts, Constance.”
Her voice, soft and amplified through her headphones, echoed across the ship.
Constance rose, placing his right hand over his chest in salute. “All for Happiness. Red Officer.”
…
Above Wano Country, a colossal, feathered beast soared through the clouds, carrying a dozen passengers on its back.
The group was small but formidable. At the forefront, a man with two swords at his waist stood on the beast’s shoulder, his left eye hidden behind a black eyepatch. He stared down at the snow-capped peak piercing the clouds.
“We’re here,” he murmured.
“Is this Wano Country’s landmark, Jingzang?” the beast asked in human speech.
“This is it. Follow Constance Officer’s orders. Seize Wano Country while the opportunity remains.”
Jingzang’s lips curled into a smile. “I’ve returned, Wano Country. This time, I bring the path to your Happiness. Oden Officer, you were wrong.”
Whoosh!
The beast dove, its dozen riders plunging through the clouds. Soon, they spotted Wano Country’s island—the Flower Capital’s sacred tree—and the towering castle beside it.
Boom!
The beast crashed into the castle’s highest spire, sending a plume of dust and debris skyward.
From the smoke, Jingzang emerged, raising his arm in triumph.
“Now I shall prove—I was right!”
