Chapter 1181: The Storm Approaches
Chapter 1181: The Storm Approaches
2023-03-24
There was another reason for the restraint: Plante and Manina III had already joined the Dark Energy Rebellion.
Since they were part of the organization, there was no need to fight with full strength.
Once Lord Darak and Emperor Dixin's magical duel was victorious, and the Dark Energy Rebellion successfully occupied the two planets, they would only need to act as guides. Everything else would be handled by the higher-ups.
Because of this, the battles between the divine beings were not particularly intense. None of the divine beings were even seriously injured, and the fights were quite watered down.
Manina looked at the energy clashes on the battlefield ahead, then glanced up at the battle between the divine beings above.
If things continued at this pace, the situation would likely persist for a long time, at least ten days to two weeks.
Thus, he stopped paying attention to the battles and began to contemplate something else.
What he was thinking about, of course, was his son Morgan's impending coup.
"Sigh, if my calculations are correct, it should be happening soon," Manina sighed softly at that moment.
Though his voice was low, Mont Loral, the captain of the guards, still heard him clearly.
Mont Loral, however, was completely confused.
He asked curiously, "Your Majesty, what are you talking about? What do you mean by 'it should be happening soon'?"
Manina smiled and shook his head, not giving a direct answer.
After a pause, Manina asked in return, "Mont, do you know why it's you here with me today, and not Randi?"
"???" Mont Loral looked puzzled. "Didn't Lord Randi say his father was seriously ill and he took three Blue Star days off to visit him?"
Manina shook his head. "It seems you don't know the real reason. But it doesn't matter. You'll understand soon enough."
Manina turned around and looked in the direction of the main base to the north. His long sleeves fluttered wildly in the fierce wind and spiritual energy fluctuations, like a small boat tossed by stormy waves, but his gaze became even more resolute.
Morgan should launch his rebellion in the next few days, and the forefathers and Plante are on his side.
Manina had no choice; he couldn't surrender now. At this point, standing firm against Morgan was his only hope for survival. If he surrendered, he would surely offend the planetary-level existence, Emperor Dixin, and his fate would be even more dire!
He could only cling tightly to Emperor Dixin and hope for the best.
"May this path not be a dead end! Everything depends on fate." Manina sighed again.
Mont Loral heard the emperor's words this time, and his confusion only deepened. Why did the emperor speak with such finality, yet look in the direction of the main base?
Could there be enemies coming from that direction?
That didn't make sense! How could there be enemies in the rear? The Blue Star forces were all on the front lines...
But remembering the last time, he didn't dare to ask this time.
Mont Loral and the dozens of bodyguards around him stood straight and rigid, like wooden statues, eyes fixed on their noses, noses fixed on their hearts.
...
Just then, a clear, cold voice suddenly echoed in the space around them.
The voice belonged to AI Siblue.
Like the other AI systems on Sclru, such as AI Sunshine and AI Sun, AI Siblue would never betray the supreme commander, Manina, unless Manina died or AI Siblue was reprogrammed by an external program.
Thus, it was extremely loyal to Manina, and Manina trusted it completely.
"Your Majesty," AI Siblue said, "We have received a major update from the front. The enemy's 'Tashin Defense Network' orange barrier has suddenly malfunctioned."
