Chapter 1177 - Strategic Planning
Chapter 1177 - Strategic Planning
(There was an issue during the upload.) "Quite a few new members have joined in the past few days," Sana's voice echoed from the two-way mirror.
"However, it seems like they are disappointed that they couldn't meet you. Maybe you should pay them a personal visit."
"It's best if I don't show up now, to avoid causing trouble for the others," Albert replied.
"I think they aren't fools," Sana said kindly. "They must have guessed that you've returned to Britain. You should make an appearance; it would put their minds at ease."
"It's fine. They can probably guess the reason for my absence."
"By the way, Fred, George, and Lee Jordan asked me to inquire about the progress of the new 'Dark Magic Defense Guide'. When will it be ready?"
"Not so soon. It will take some more time."
Sana turned her head as if speaking to someone else, then turned back to Albert and said, "Fred and George seem to have something to discuss with you."
After she disappeared from the mirror, George appeared in her place.
"What's the matter?" Albert asked.
"Have you been following the newspapers these days?" George asked abruptly.
"Yes, those are typical Death Eater tactics. Their goal is to create trouble for the Ministry of Magic and keep them running in circles. It's an open secret, yet quite effective. If the Ministry doesn't devote enough energy to dealing with these messes, the wizarding world might soon be exposed to Muggles."
"Minister Scrimgeour wants to talk to you about this through my dad. They seem to hope that you can provide a solution!" Fred relayed the message helplessly.
"I don't have any good ideas," Albert shook his head. "After all, it's easier to destroy than to build. The Death Eaters are leading the Ministry by the nose. Unless they just ignore the problem, there aren't many options."
"I'm sure you have something in mind," Fred asserted, knowing Albert's intelligence.
"The Minister has probably thought of the usual solutions as well," Albert admitted, truly lacking a better plan.
"Like what?"
"Seek help from abroad. Isn't there an International Wizarding Federation? They can try inviting Aurors from other countries to come to Britain and help deal with the mess created by the Dark Wizards, thus preventing the wizarding world from being fully exposed to Muggles."
"That's not a bad idea," Fred mumbled.
"The success rate is not high," Albert predicted.
"Why?"
"Because people are inherently selfish."
"I'll pass on your suggestion to them," Fred said, seemingly remembering something. "Oh, and don't be lazy. Everyone is waiting for your 'Dark Magic Defense Guide' and for you to teach us about Dark Magic defense."
"Lazy?" Albert shook his head. He had never been lazy. Composing books required a lot of time and energy, and he never intended to use the book as a textbook for the "Defense Association."
Albert simply didn't have the energy for that, and he didn't want to cobble together a shoddy "Dark Magic Defense Guide" to deceive others.
In any case, people were expecting the book to learn more advanced knowledge, and Albert would teach them those so-called "advanced" dark magic skills.
Of course, there was another reason. He had been traveling all over Britain lately, collecting useful information and searching for abandoned towns, manors, castles, and fortresses that he could transform into temporary safe houses when needed.
Even though this refuge was safe, and he didn't have to worry about the outside world, Albert dared not slack off. He needed to stay active and prepare for potential challenges ahead.
If he did nothing but relax in the safe house with his wife and aunt, he doubted he would be able to face other difficulties in the future. Sometimes, a little pressure brings out the best in people.
"Are you done chatting?" Isabelle looked up from her manuscript.
"Yes, how do you feel about it?"
"It's a bit difficult to understand, but your Dark Magic defense skills are indeed impressive.
Isabelle put down the manuscript and said, "I feel like you've left the Aurors of the Ministry of Magic in the dust. No wonder you were able to pin them to the wall."
After reading this part of the manuscript, Isabelle suddenly understood why Albert had become an International Duelling Champion.
"However, I don't think others will be able to understand this. They don't even have the concept, no, I should say that even the Aurors may not have this concept."
"I didn't expect them to understand." Albert put away the manuscript and smiled, "In fact, very few wizards truly study duelling. Most are just ordinary people; you can't expect them to spend a lot of time on this."
"Don't you plan to use this to form a team to fight against Voldemort?" Isabelle asked suspiciously.
"Yes, I do intend to do that, but I will only teach them some basics."
"Are you sure that those so-called basics aren't what others have learned in seven years of Dark Magic Defense?" Isabelle couldn't help but tease.
Even she found it a bit difficult to understand, let alone others.
"Most of what students learn in seven years can hardly be considered a foundation. You could say that the professors are just giving them a general introduction to Dark Magic Defense." Albert shrugged, "They're just kids who know how to throw spells randomly, which is why they need training so that they won't panic in necessary situations and have some self-preservation skills."
"You really..."
"After all, we're already enemies. I have to find a way to finish him off." Albert casually said these dangerous words.
"It's really hard to imagine hearing such words from you." Isabelle leaned in and kissed Albert on the lips. She had been feeling more and more annoyed by her pregnancy lately, with all its inconveniences.
"Don't worry, Harry will succeed. Dumbledore is teaching him, giving him the ability to defeat Voldemort in the future." Albert reassured her.
"You've said this so many times, I'm starting to doubt if you even believe it yourself." Isabelle sidled up to Albert.
"I have to leave room for error, just in case, to ensure the total annihilation of Voldemort in the worst-case scenario."
"After all, with that guy around, we can never be at peace. So Voldemort must die. I don't want to be on his radar; life would become unbearable."
"Do you know how to kill him?" Isabelle asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Of course, and so does Dumbledore." Albert said confidently, "In fact, Voldemort is not far from being reduced to a mere mortal."
"A mortal?" Isabelle repeated, "The way you're saying this, it's as if Voldemort isn't human."
"A terrible form of Dark Magic has made it difficult to truly kill Voldemort, so we must first turn him into an ordinary person and then finish him off. Dumbledore is working on this, and after his death, Harry will continue. They will complete this step and kill Voldemort before he has a chance to recover."
"You certainly have it all figured out!"
"Yes, because I once found Rowena Ravenclaw's diadem in Borgin and Burkes, and from it, I discovered Voldemort's secret." Albert held Isabelle's hand and asked curiously, "Haven't I mentioned this to you before?"
"I don't think so." Isabelle's expression was peculiar, "So, is all of this your doing? Should I call you the 'Savior of the Wizarding World' now?"
"No, I'm just making things go a little smoother." Albert shook his head, "Even Dumbledore doesn't have a hundred percent certainty of success. He has a lot of backup plans, and Severus Snape is one of them. That guy is actually a double agent."
"Of course, so am I, but unlike Snape, I'm not under Dumbledore's command. So I'm one of his backup plans to ensure that Voldemort is thoroughly eliminated." Albert made a shushing gesture to Isabelle, "Let's keep this between us, remember to keep it confidential."
Isabelle was actually more curious about how Albert knew so much about the whole situation. She didn't think that his skill in prophecy alone could have given him such insight.
