Chapter 1174: Coco's Experience
Chapter 1174: Coco’s Experience
Everything happened in secrecy, so Coco’s departure was completely silent. Not only did she not have a farewell from her friends, but even her mother couldn’t spare the time to see her off. Thus, Coco set off alone, flying toward the Wildlands.
During her journey, she passed through the territories of the Sun Empire, the ocean, and the various races of the Wildlands. This time, she truly witnessed the chaos that had engulfed the world. Almost all the creatures on the Scrul planet were in a frenzy, indulging in a mad celebration of the apocalypse. Rationality no longer existed, and the entire world was a scene of impending doom.
However, this chaos had little to do with Coco. She carefully avoided all dangerous areas. As the only daughter of the White Dragon Queen, she possessed numerous treasures that could help her evade any peril.
On the 17th day of the incident, Coco successfully arrived at the "Beloberg" secret realm. With the "Mozel Flame" in her possession, she managed to enter the heart of the realm and hide there.
After that, there wasn’t much to say. In the depths of the secret realm, Coco was like a prisoner in a dark, silent cell. She stayed there, on edge, waiting for something to happen.
Until, one day, she was suddenly thrown out of the secret realm by a powerful force, and then she fell into a deep coma. In that brief moment before she lost consciousness, she saw many other creatures from different races being thrown out of the realm just like her.
Outside the secret realm, the sky was blood-red, and the ground was littered with the corpses of plants and animals. After that, she remembered nothing until Su Yu and Xiaotian woke her up, and she finally opened her eyes again.
...
Listening to Coco’s account, Su Yu and Xiaotian frowned deeply.
They already understood what had happened and why they had found Coco here. However, the biggest question that still puzzled them was how Coco had managed to survive.
Xiaotian tapped her chin with her index finger, her brow furrowed as she slowly said, "Based on Coco’s description, she was thrown out of the secret realm at the moment it was shattered."
"Exactly," Su Yu agreed. "The situation is likely this: during the blood sacrifice, the Beloberg secret realm, like the other secret realms on Scrul, shattered. Coco and the other creatures inside were all thrown out. Because the blood sacrifice was already underway, she saw the blood-red fog and the dead creatures outside."
Coco tilted her large head, thinking for a moment, and then nodded. "That’s right. Most of the creatures thrown out with me were from the secret realm. I know them; although most of their dragon blood is diluted, they are still dragon descendants. However, there were also some from other races, like a white-headed eagle and a spirit rhinoceros."
"The white-headed eagle and the spirit rhinoceros were probably seeking refuge, just like Coco," Xiaotian speculated, blinking her large, beautiful eyes. "It’s not just the dragon race that can seek refuge in the ‘Beloberg’ secret realm; other races might also be able to. The white-headed eagle and the spirit rhinoceros might have had a ‘Mozel Flame’ to allow their offspring to enter the realm and hide."
Su Yu glanced around and said, "That’s a possibility, but the white-headed eagle and the spirit rhinoceros didn’t survive. Not only them, but there are no signs that any of the other creatures from the secret realm made it. As far as we know, the only one who survived is Coco."
"That’s right," Xiaotian said, lowering her head in thought.
She mused as she spoke, "There’s only one possibility—Coco had something else protecting her, allowing her to survive the ordeal."
"Only that possibility," Su Yu nodded, this seemed to be the only reasonable explanation at the moment.
He shifted his gaze to Coco and said softly, "Coco, when you were thrown out of the secret realm, did you have anything with you?"
"Anything?"
"Yes, something like a protective artifact, for example."
"Protective artifact..." Coco paused, then shook her head firmly, "No, I didn’t use any protective artifact. The incident was sudden, I didn’t even have time to use a protective charm, let alone the protective artifact? How could I have time to use any of them?"
"None at all?"
"Not a single one, I can be sure of that!"
Coco’s neck hung a crystal pendant, a spatial item crafted by the humans of Blue Star.
Coco opened the pendant’s spatial compartment with her mental power and began to inspect the items inside.
"I definitely didn’t use any protective artifacts; the protective charms are still insideinside! For instance, the 'Gloria Crystal,' the 'Crown of the Blue,' the Master's stone, and the anti-magic potions, these potions were bought from you on Blue Star..."
Listening to Coco, Su Yu and Xiao Tian exchanged glances.
"If it wasn’t a protective artifact, how did Coco survive?"
"No other creatures could survive, only I could have lived, right?"
"But why? Why exactly?"
"Yes, why indeedSu Yu and Xiao Tian sized up Coco’s dragon body, puzzledpuzzled by the sudden realization.
Coco had recovered some of her mental energy, but she was still unaware of the outside world.
Faced with Su Yu and Xiao Tian’s puzzled gaze, Coco asked, "Can you tell me what happened elsewhere? What do you mean by saying ‘only I survived’? Did all other creatures perish?"
"Ah, it’s like that," Su Yu sighed, temporarily setting aside the peculiar nature of Coco, and began to recount her journey.
Su Yu had no lies or omissions, and recounted to Xiao Tian the entirety of his and her journey.
Listening to Su Yu’s account, Coco was struck by lightning.
From the blazing empire of the south, through the League of Nations, all the way to the barren continent in the north, Su YuYunot a single living creature had been discovered, not even a microbebe left behind!
Was this the terrifying 'blood sacrifice'? Too terrifying, wasn’t it?
And the most crucial point—
"Isn’t my dragon also..."
Since all creatures perished, the dragon race couldn’t have survived either, right?
Thinking of the dragons on Dragon Island, and then of his mother, a wave of immense grief washed over Coco’s heart.
In an instant, tears the size of basketballs rolled down Coco’s eyes, and soon she was crying like a river, letting out a mournful cry.
Facing the sobbing Coco, Su Yu and Xiao Tian didn’t know how to comfort her.
Not to mention the comfort, the sound of her sobs was contagious, and Xiao couldn’t help but to step forward and hug Coco, both sobbing and wailing.
Su Yu also couldn’t hold back his reddened eyes, thinking of the impending destruction of Blue Star, and his own impending doom...
But suddenly, a flash of lightning exploded in his mind, and he suddenly had an important realization!
"Wait! Xiao, Coco, we seem to have overlooked something!" Su Yu exclaimed.
