Chapter 1166: Was That Kaido?
Chapter 1166: Was That Kaido?
Castle Fourth Floor
"Fishman Karate!"
Blue Fat Fishman seized a saber-toothed tiger demi-human with both hands, clamping down on the creature's palms. With a vicious squeeze, his immense force deformed the tiger's hand, eliciting a pained cry.
"You want to dwell on history..."
Blue Fat Fishman released his grip, assumed a fighting stance, drew his right fist to his waist, glared at the enemy, and roared, "Then go find the answers yourself!"
"Fishman Karate Mystic Art!"
Bang! His right fist erupted with Haki, accompanied by swirling winds known in Wano Country as "Muramasa." He delivered a devastating punch straight to the enemy's face.
His name was Forts Foe, a former CP0 defector and one of the Beasts Pirates' "Six Crimson Stars"—the strongest among them. Years ago, he was escorting the Rubber Devil Fruit when Shanks stole it, leading to his imprisonment in Impel Down. Amid daily tortures, he came to revere Vice Admiral Sun God Nika (the legendary Joy Boy) as his faith. Since "Sun" was also the symbol of the Fishman Pirate crew, he sought Jinbei for answers. But now, it seemed he was no match for Jinbei. The punch sent him flying, crashing heavily to the ground and losing consciousness.
Just then, a massive figure crashed through the ceiling above, plunging downward and smashing through the floor to the level below.
"That's..." Jinbei blinked, a joyful expression spreading as he looked upward. "Luffy, you did it!"
Castle Third Floor
After descending to the third floor, Sazil and his men began searching on-site, scattering roadmarks everywhere while capturing several bounty targets.
Staring at the fallen enemies, Sazil ordered, "Check if there are any bounty targets." Though all pirates were to be captured, given limited manpower, they prioritized—hunting high-value targets before minor ones. Despite being equal Commanders, Klah Vice Admiral had assigned Sazil as lead, making him the core leader.
Among the Commanders were some with exceptional tracking skills, not all martial artists. A Commander quickly identified a target: "Massacre Garcia, bounty 590 million. Joined the Beasts Pirates and transformed into this monstrous form."
Among the fallen was a man wearing a tricorn hat with an extra tiger head on his shoulder, his left arm transformed into a Tiger Claw.
"Ominous Sazil, bounty 650 million—a renowned pirate who'd joined the Beasts Pirates." Not only had he joined, his appearance changed—more muscular with a gorilla face sprouting from his occiput, his back transformed into a gorilla's front with additional arms.
Others included Crimson Fang Johnny and Dual Pistols Dual Swords Kelvin, all with bounties above 50 million—each exhibiting animal traits. These pirates once had reputations in the Grand Line, some even high. After breaking through to the New World, they vanished—only to join the Beasts Pirates as "True Combatants."
Fifty million! Not a small sum, yet now they were as common as cabbages in a field. The Pirate Grand Stage—dare to try? Wano Country's Flower Capital Castle Tower welcomes all. Navy officers, freely pick bounty targets to arrest, with even more "pleasantly surprised" officers awaiting capture.
Sazil wasn't just seeing Smile-enhanced True Combatants—he spotted an even heavier-weight target at the center. Discarded Navy hooded cloak and hat nearby. Beside the clothes lay a man with green shoulder-length hair, his upper body resembling a sumo wrestler's muscular frame but with a massive belly. A faint cannon burn scar was visible across his stomach.
Bounty 472 million, one of the Beasts Pirates' "Six Crimson Stars"—Sasaki.
"A heavyweight indeed", Sazil muttered, preparing to call Moe for backup. Suddenly, Ju Geng's ears twitched. He swiftly drew his bow, loosing an arrow that roared like thunder, smashing through a corner wall. A figure burst out with a startled shout.
"That was close!" The figure had blue hair, a round head, a powerfully built upper body with mechanical arms, and a slender lower body clad only in a coat and briefs. "Hey, why attack directly? I was planning to sneak past you!"
Recognizing him, Sazil halted his call for backup. "Cyborg Franky?"
"Oh, it's you!" Franky grinned. "Aren't you that Navy officer from Shabondy?"
Handing a Transponder Snail to a nearby Commander, Sazil said, "What a coincidence, Franky. Didn't expect to run into you here. Did you defeat Sasaki?"
"Of course!" Franky struck a pose. "Defeated by the Super~Franky!"
"Not so fast." Sazil cracked his knuckles with a sinister grin. "Back in Shabondy I let you escape. This time, you're alone. We'll settle this fairly—allow me to demonstrate the might of Sazil Officer!"
"Fair?" Franky paused mid-turn. "You want a fair man-to-man fight? Even though I just fought, the Super Franky never loses in a true man's battle. Alright, I accept—let's see who's the real man!"
A blue vein throbbed on Sazil's temple as he roared, "I don't need a duel to prove I'm a real man!" Then he spat. "Though if we do fight, I'll win anyway!"
As he concentrated a wisp of air into his fist—"Impact Tide!"—he prepared to strike. Suddenly, a massive figure burst through the ceiling, blocking Sazil's vision. Above it loomed an even larger jet-black fist wreathed in flames!
In an instant, the fist and figure crashed through the floor to the level below. Staring at the gaping hole, Sazil blinked rapidly. "Hey, Fen Ni..." he muttered. "Was that... Kaido just now?"
