Chapter 1161: Thunder Dragon
Chapter 1161: Thunder Dragon
“Xunxun!”
The Treasure Seeker wore an expression of excitement, calling out loudly.
Fangy, Lulu, and Steel Treasure halted their training and turned to look.
Evolved… Qiao Sang’s eyes gleamed as he stared at the radiant Evolution Light.
“Dian dian…”
Dian Zha Guai’s lightning power dissipated, and it let out a quiet sigh of relief.
This mission was finally over…
By its usual standards, once a mission was completed, it would leave immediately. But this place wasn’t just home to the Royal Beast Valiant Flying Dragons—it also hosted an unknown Dragon-type Beast Companion that seemed even more formidable, one that had reached the Divine Rank. It could only wait patiently for the mysterious dragon’s Evolution to conclude.
Qiao Sang suddenly remembered something and pulled out his mobile phone, activating the camera function and aiming it at the blinding white light.
Through the phone’s lens, the silhouette within the white glow expanded at a visible speed.
“Qingqing?”
Qingbao floated to the Treasure Seeker’s side, feigning hesitation as it called out.
I feel like Liu’s gotten bigger than me now…
“Xunxun…”
At these words, the Treasure Seeker’s excitement stiffened instantly.
It scrutinized the white light, noticing it had indeed grown slightly larger than Qingbao. A chill ran down its spine.
As its heart sank, the white light vanished.
The Treasure Seeker stared at the transformed Tingbao, now nearly two meters tall. The creature’s drastically larger size sent its spirits plummeting into frost.
Tingbao’s post-Evolution physique was a severe blow.
“Xunxun…”
The Treasure Seeker involuntarily took a step back, unwilling to accept reality.
“Qingqing~”
Qingbao chuckled, a playful breeze swirling around it.
Thunder Dragon—Dragon-type and Electric-Type Dual-type Intermediate Beast. It was said that during thunderstorms, if one spotted it twisting through the skies and darting between lightning bolts, the storm’s electricity would soon be drained completely. Qiao Sang studied the creature before him: nearly two meters long, a thick, serpentine body covered in purple scales, yellow eyes, a yellow diamond marking on its forehead, two claws beneath its belly, and a hardened yellow substance wrapped around its tail. His mind recalled the familiar data.
“Tingting!”
Tingbao felt its strength had surged significantly after Evolution. Noticing the new claws, it beamed with excitement, then turned to its Beastmaster and swiftly crawled over.
Its speed had clearly improved by leaps and bounds.
“Tingting!”
Tingbao chirped joyfully at its master.
“You’ve gotten much better-looking after Evolution,” Qiao Sang praised.
“Tingting!”
Tingbao’s eyes crinkled into a smile, then it turned to the Treasure Seeker.
The Treasure Seeker was now in a daze, clearly disheartened.
“Tingting?”
Tingbao tilted its head, puzzled, and called out.
The Treasure Seeker didn’t respond, still lost in its shock.
“Qingqing.”
Qingbao grinned and chirped, as if to say, I’m just so happy you’ve evolved so impressively!
“Tingting.”
Tingbao’s expression softened, as if to say, Oh, I see.
“Dian dian.”
Dian Zha Guai approached cautiously, calling out to signal its intention to leave now the mission was complete.
The Treasure Seeker remained too stunned to assist with translation, as it usually would.
“Steel Chief.”
Steel Treasure, ever watchful, stepped in to mentally relay the translation.
“Alright,” Qiao Sang nodded. “Thanks for the help this time.”
Hearing only “Alright,” Dian Zha Guai hurriedly turned and departed.
At first, it walked normally, but its pace quickened until it broke into a sprint.
“Let’s go inside,” Jacqueline said. “We’ll check things out there.”
“Alright,” Qiao Sang agreed, instinctively opening his arms to pick up Tingbao. Then, noticing Tingbao’s towering new size, he sheepishly lowered his hands, chuckling:
“I almost forgot—you’re too big to need carrying now.”
“Tingting.”
Tingbao’s eyes gleamed as it chirped, then turned to Lulu’s direction. Spotting Lulu, it eagerly scrambled forward with its claws, aiming to curl up against her as usual.
However, now that Tingbao stood over two meters tall, and Lulu wore a Miniaturization Band, it could only lift its tail and rest it on her body to cool down.
Lulu: “…”
“Ice Emperor.”
Lulu exhaled a chilling aura, called out, and flicked her tail before resuming training.
If Tingbao had been small, she might have tolerated it. Now, she had no patience left.
“Tingting…”
Tingbao stared at Lulu’s retreating figure, confused and looking hurt.
At that moment, Qiao Sang called from the living room: “Don’t space out—come over here. We’re checking up.”
“Tingting.”
Tingbao snapped back to focus, chirped, and headed toward the living room.
The Treasure Seeker remained in a daze, deeply shaken.
“Ya Ya?”
Fangy approached, chirping to ask, What’s wrong?
“Xunxun…”
The Treasure Seeker turned to Fangy, eyes glistening.
Liu’s gotten so big…
“Ya Ya.”
Fangy chirped again, as if to say, It’s natural for Liu to grow after Evolution, isn’t it?
It turned and resumed training.
Treasure Seeker: “…”
Seeing its expression, Qingbao couldn’t help but giggle, “Qingqing qing…”

Living Room
Jacqueline finished her examination, setting down her equipment as she mused, “The Thunder Dragon’s Evolution is flawless. I’ll send its Energy Pills to you along with Qing Yun Nai Nai’s.”
“Alright,” Qiao Sang nodded.
As she packed up, Jacqueline added:
“Thunder Dragons molt naturally during their Intermediate Stage. Each molt signifies healthy growth, and their size gradually increases post-molt, much like certain snake-type Familiars.
“Normal Thunder Dragons molt once during the Intermediate Stage. Studies suggest that if a Thunder Dragon undergoes three molts, it achieves perfect Evolution. You might consider arranging its Evolution after three molts.”
“I understand,” Qiao Sang replied.
Since deciding to bond with a Thunder Dragon, she’d thoroughly researched its species, so she was already aware.
“I’ll head out now,” Jacqueline said, gathering her tools.
“It’s almost noon. Teacher Mikara should be back soon—why not stay for lunch?” Qiao Sang invited.
This time, I’m sure I’m not misreading… Jacqueline smiled and declined:
“I’ll pass. Just inform Elder Migala I stopped by.”
Qiao Sang didn’t press further.
After seeing Jacqueline off, she approached Tingbao:
“Give it a try—fly.”
“Tingting?”
Tingbao blinked, startled.
Fly? Me?
Qiao Sang grinned. “Exactly. You.”
Thunder Dragon—Dragon-type and Electric-Type Dual-type Intermediate Beast. Though not classified as Flying-type, it possessed the ability to soar through the skies.
