Chapter 1141: Blizzarion
Chapter 1141: Blizzarion
But then, the heart-stopping gaze vanished, as if it had been an illusion.
Stormfeather stared at the sea, not moving their line of sight.
“What’s wrong?” Mistfang, noticing their familiar's unease, asked.
“Pengpeng.” Stormfeather pointed at the sea and called out.
Mistfang thought for a moment and said, “There might be some powerful familiar in the sea watching us. Just be on your guard.”
“Pengpeng.”
Stormfeather nodded and continued searching for Frostshard Crystals.
Time passed, and more and more wild beast companions joined the search for Frostshard Crystals, with some even diving into the sea to look.
Before long, one by one, the wild beast companions brought various crystals to Lulu, wearing expressions of pride.
“That’s not it, and neither is this one.” Qiao Sang stood beside Lulu, acting as an assistant to identify the crystals.
The wild beast companions, one by one, left in disappointment but quickly perked up and continued their search.
As Qiao Sang continued to identify crystals for an hour without finding a single Frostshard Crystal, she couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.
Although many wild beast companions were helping, most couldn’t recognize the true Frostshard Crystal. They brought any crystal they found, and she had to keep identifying them, wasting a lot of time.
As she was thinking, she felt a tug on her clothes.
Looking down, she saw Xialala, in its fluffy form, holding an irregular crystal and looking at her happily.
“Frostshard Crystal!” Qiao Sang took the crystal, her eyes lighting up with surprise.
Xialala nodded happily.
With so many familiars around, it remembered the human’s words and didn’t speak.
Inside the Frostshard Crystal were hair-like structures that were usually invisible but could be seen clearly under sunlight or lamplight, emitting a brilliant glow. The more hair-like structures, the higher the level of the Frostshard Crystal.
Qiao Sang held the Frostshard Crystal up to the sunlight and saw only two hair-like structures inside, feeling slightly disappointed. However, she maintained her surprise and praised, “Impressive! After all this time, only you found the real Frostshard Crystal.”
Hearing this, the nearby wild beast companions gathered around, eager to see what a real Frostshard Crystal looked like.
Xialala blushed, then seemed to remember something and pointed to the crystal it had just found.
Even though it didn’t speak, Qiao Sang understood its meaning and said, “It’s a D-Class Frostshard Crystal. We need to keep looking.”
Xialala’s expression turned disappointed.
“You’ve done a great job,” Qiao Sang patted Xialala’s head gently and said, “Don’t forget, you’re the only one who found the real one.”
“Ice Emperor.”
Lulu turned and called out in praise.
Xialala’s eyes curved in happiness.
The other wild beast companions looked on enviously.
“Xunxun~”
Treasure Seeker floated over, removing their ring to store the Frostshard Crystal.
No one noticed that among the wild beast companions, a three-meter-tall, mostly white sea lion companion suddenly sensed something, turned toward the sea, and jumped in.
At the beach, the wild beast companions continued their search for Frostshard Crystals.
Thunder Dragon curled up on Fangy’s back, eyes closed, deeply asleep.
Azurebeast silently approached Fangy.
Wherever Fangy went to search, it followed.
Steel Treasure used their Clone ability to search everywhere.
Treasure Seeker floated to each wild beast companion that claimed to have found a crystal, helping to identify them.
Lulu stood still, waiting for the wild beast companions to bring the crystals to her.
However, as time passed, they still found nothing.
“Piao piao!”
Suddenly, a sea lion companion with a white head emerged from the sea, holding a crystal about the size of a fist and shouting.
Under the sunlight, the crystal emitted a brilliant glow.
“Xunxun~”
Treasure Seeker's eyes lit up, and they teleported next to the Blizzarion. Picking up a crystal the size of a fist, they examined it closely.
As they were inspecting it, a chill ran down their spine, as if they were being watched by something terrifying.
Treasure Seeker looked down at the sea, but the feeling of being watched suddenly disappeared.
“Peng peng.”
At that moment, Stormfeather let out a call, warning them not to get too close to the sea, as there might be danger lurking within.
“Xunxun~”
Treasure Seeker agreed with a call and then gently touched the Blizzarion, bringing it back to the coastline.
The Blizzarion's expression clearly showed confusion.
“Xunxun~”
Treasure Seeker handed the Frostshard Crystal to Qiao Sang.
Qiao Sang took it and examined it closely.
Migala also came over to take a look.
After a few seconds, Qiao Sang felt both delighted and a bit disappointed: “This seems to be an S-Class Frostshard Crystal.”
She was delighted to have found an S-Class Frostshard Crystal but disappointed that it wasn’t an SS-Rank one.
“Indeed, it’s an S-Class Frostshard Crystal,” Migala said, both surprised and a bit taken aback.
She hadn’t expected them to find an S-Class Frostshard Crystal so quickly.
While S-Class materials weren’t as rare as SS-Rank ones, they weren’t easily obtainable with just money. Usually, finding such rare materials required forming a specialized team and conducting comprehensive environmental surveys and other complex actions, with no guarantee of success.
Yet, in less than a day, they had found an S-Class Frostshard Crystal...
Migala glanced at Qiao Sang with a complex expression.
She could see that her student was indeed a person of great luck.
“Blizzarion, thank you,” Qiao Sang said sincerely as she handed the Frostshard Crystal back to Treasure Seeker. “If you ever need anything, just contact me.”
Blizzarion, a Water and Ice Dual-Attributes General-Class Beast Companion, was born with the Snowfall Trait, which could turn the weather to snow upon its appearance. It was a rare familiar in the Flame Sky Star.
“Piao piao.”
As Qiao Sang was about to give her contact information, Blizzarion shook its head, indicating it needed nothing. Then it pointed toward the sea and called out.
“Xunxun!”
Treasure Seeker's face lit up with surprise as they helped translate.
Blizzarion said there was a place underwater with many more Frostshard Crystals, and it had found its crystal nearby.
“Really?” Qiao Sang asked, her face full of surprise.
“Piao piao.”
Blizzarion nodded and then sighed.
Unfortunately, there was a powerful Star Pincer Dragon there, and it couldn’t get close.
“Xunxun.”
Treasure Seeker mimicked Blizzarion’s sigh, helping to translate.
The Star Pincer Dragon, a Water and Dragon Dual-type Royal Beast, was extremely aggressive and rarely appeared. Once it went on a rampage, it would destroy everything in its path... Qiao Sang recalled the information about the Star Pincer Dragon and fell into deep thought.
Taking something from a Royal Beast’s territory wasn’t the problem; the issue was that the Royal Beast was located at the bottom of the Ice Sea, where the temperature was far too low for Qingbao and the others to withstand.
For safety, Qingbao and Tingbao could be returned to the Beastmaster Codex, but Xialala couldn’t... Perhaps they should make the trip anyway. With Blizzarion leading the way, they could reach the destination directly. With Teacher Migala’s presence, even the most dangerous situations wouldn’t be too risky. Xialala could stay on the shore with the Dragon King...
“Piao piao.”
As she was thinking, Blizzarion looked at Lulu and called out.
“Xunxun~”
Treasure Seeker helped translate.
Blizzarion said that Lulu seemed no weaker than the Star Pincer Dragon and could accompany it on the trip.
