Chapter 114: War (Nine)
Steel Tide was locked in fierce combat, his mechanical armor tearing through enemies with relentless fury—until a sudden, thunderous shout echoed from behind.
"Divine Supremacy Slash!"
A blinding beam of light descended from the heavens. The clash of metal rang out like a dying bell—then, with a hollow clatter, the armored right arm tore free and crashed to the ground.
Steel Tide froze, disbelief flashing across his face before agony took over. “My Guardian Armor—NOOOO!”
He spun the massive suit around, only to see a golden-haired Paladin standing firm, sword drawn, blue eyes blazing with divine purpose.
That was Andrea Bosk.
“You!” Steel Tide roared, fury igniting in his voice. “You’ll pay for destroying my armor!”
With a snarl, he lunged forward, swinging his left fist—its arm flaring with crackling energy.
"Thunder Strike Fist!"
But the Paladin moved like lightning, a shimmering aura of speed enveloping him. He dodged the blow with effortless grace, then struck back—swift, precise, merciless.
"Divine Supremacy Slash!"
Another searing flash. Another clang.
The left arm of the Guardian Armor came flying off, landing in a twisted heap.
“Impossible…” Steel Tide whispered, voice cracking. Tears welled in his eyes. This armor—he’d drained his savings, even siphoned public funds to build it. And now, in the hands of this golden-haired knight, it was nothing but scrap.
Andrea stared into the cockpit, his gaze unyielding. His voice rang out, clear and cold.
“Evil Dragon Follower. Your existence threatens the peace and order of the Northern Regions. And your destruction… will become part of my legendary legacy.”
Boom!
Battlefield Wheelchair Man fired a shot—but Andrea sidestepped it as if it were a slow-motion raindrop.
With a flick of his sword, he pointed it toward the Half-Dragon.
【Luminous Beam Arrow】
A beam of pure light lanced through the air, piercing the Half-Dragon’s forehead. It emerged cleanly from the back of his skull. Battlefield Wheelchair Man collapsed, dead.
“Eat my Mountain Pressing Overhead!” Steel Tide leapt forward, aiming to crush the Paladin beneath the sheer weight of his armored form.
But Andrea shifted aside with inhuman precision. His sword flared with a dense, crackling magical aura.
【Magical Weaponry】
With a single thrust, he pierced the reinforced cockpit shield—and drove the blade straight through Steel Tide’s chest.
The Half-Dragon screamed, trapped in his beloved machine, pinned like a specimen. Blood dripped from the edges of the cockpit.
Andrea pulled the sword free, its tip still steaming. His eyes swept over the remaining players, burning with cold fire.
“Whoa, boss!”
“He’s coming!”
“Our Guild Leader and Deputy Leader are dead!”
“This Paladin’s serious—he just cut down a mech!”
Tian Sheng Zhan Kuang watched from afar, jaw slightly agape. “Damn… this guy’s strong.”

Tian Sheng Zhan Kuang grinned, his eyes alight with battle lust.
He turned to Xia Ye Qiu Yu beside him. “Hey, Qiu Yu—this is a rare Elite Monster. You wanna take him?”
Xia Ye Qiu Yu nodded slowly, voice low. “Of course we take him. But we need him alive.”
Tian Sheng Zhan Kuang blinked. “Why not kill him? You got a soft spot for this guy?”
Xia Ye Qiu Yu sighed, rubbing his temple. “Look at his surname. Bosk. That’s the most powerful family in Anzeta’s official lore—the Northland Lion. Think of the ransom we could get.”
He pointed to the Character Sheet. “Do you really want a few measly XP points when we could be holding a fortune in gold coins?”
Tian Sheng Zhan Kuang scratched his bald head, grinning sheepishly. “…Yeah. You’re right.”
The battle raged on.
Huff… huff… huff…
“Damn it…”
Andrea knelt, sword planted into the earth, his breath ragged. Sweat poured from his brow. His body was a map of wounds—burns, frostbite, acid burns, deep gashes.
The players attacked with every trick in the book. Though he had his Guardian Aura and Swift Aura shielding him, he couldn’t dodge everything.
These weren’t noble knights. They were players. No honor. No mercy.
When he killed one, another would charge without hesitation, screaming things like “I’m DPS!” “I’m tanking!” “Heal me!”—words that meant nothing to him, yet carried deadly intent.
His strength was fading. His body was at its limit.
Around him, the battlefield was littered with bodies—over a hundred players, piled like refuse.
Whoosh—
An arrow sliced through the air.
Andrea’s instincts flared. He rolled left—just in time. The arrow buried itself into the ground where he’d stood. He retaliated instantly, firing Luminous Beam Arrow—a flash of light, and the cowardly attacker fell dead.
Then, a thud.
A Barbarian charged, hurling a massive spear with brute force. Instinct took over. Andrea swung his sword, deflecting the weapon with a clang.
In that moment—just as he raised his blade—another spell struck from behind.
【Human Paralysis】
The effect hit him like a hammer. His body locked. Frozen in place.
The Deputy Leader of Royal Authority Guild, Fengyun, shouted with glee:
“Got him! Everyone stay calm—wait for our Guild Leader to claim the head!”
“I’M ON IT!” The Overlord roared, charging forward with his massive sword blazing with aura.
But the battlefield was suddenly wrapped in thick, swirling mist—Misty Step.
The Overlord stumbled through the fog, cursing. “Who the hell cast Misty Step?!”
In the chaos, players from Royal Authority, solo adventurers, and rival guilds all plunged into the mist, seeking to exploit the moment.
“Hey! You hit me by accident—I’m a player!”
“Is the boss still here?”
“Someone cast Wind Generation Spell!”
Just as the confusion reached its peak, a shadow shot through the mist.
Fengyun raised his staff, chanting.
【Wind Generation Spell】
A gale tore through the fog, scattering it like smoke.
But where the Paladin had stood—bound and helpless—was now empty.
The prize had vanished.
The Overlord turned crimson with rage. “Find that sneak! I’ll skin him alive!”
Behind the hill, Tian Sheng Zhan Kuang—already sprinting with Haste—had tackled the golden-haired youth to the ground. He wrapped thick ropes around his arms and legs, securing him like a bundle.
He rubbed his bald head, grinning.
“Haha… another one down.”
Xia Ye Qiu Yu frowned. “Don’t get too cocky. The paralysis effect’s about to wear off.”
Sure enough, the bound Andrea stirred, struggling to rise.
“Where… am I…?”
Boom!
Tian Sheng Zhan Kuang cracked the back of his head with a thick wooden baton. The man collapsed, unconscious, his face swollen with bruises.
Tian Sheng Zhan Kuang wiped his hands, satisfied. “Mission accomplished. Now that’s a proper prisoner.”
Still, he wasn’t done. He brought the baton down again—thwack, thwack—a few more solid hits to the head.
Xia Ye Qiu Yu groaned. “For the love of the stars, don’t kill him.”
Tian Sheng Zhan Kuang smirked. “Relax. My Experience Points from beating up people? Legendary. This guy’s a small boss with Divine Constitution—he’s not dying from a few taps.”
He stared at the unconscious, battered Paladin, eyes gleaming.
“Now… this is how you get rich.”
The heir to the Bosk family—the golden boy, the Glory Holy Knight, the pride of the Northland Lion—had been captured in disgrace on the battlefield by a group of players.
