Chapter 1138: Hymn on the Brink of Collapse
Chapter 1138: Hymn on the Brink of Collapse
"Of course not," King Zhou smiled and replied. "The reason I know you're from Darak is because I analyzed the anomalies in Hymn."
He then turned to Morgan Solaris, who stood behind Darak, and asked, "Morgan Solaris, according to the information I found, Alice is your teacher, and you both came to Skrull together, right?"
"That's correct," Morgan Solaris answered honestly, as he couldn't lie about this.
King Zhou continued, "Then your teacher, Alice, shouldn't have any identity certification from Hymn, right?"
Morgan Solaris shook his head, "Of course not, how could she?"
His teacher, Alice, came to Skrull as part of his plan, and it had nothing to do with Hymn. How could she have an identity certification?
But just then, from a distance, beyond the Tashin Defense Network, a voice exclaimed, "What are you talking about? How is that possible? I clearly received an identity certification from Hymn!"
This voice belonged to Link.
Link had already retreated beyond the Tashin Defense Network with Su Yu, but he was still paying close attention to what was happening here.
Hearing Morgan Solaris's words, he was genuinely shocked!
When Alice arrived on Skrull, both he and his sister, Donna, received messages from Hymn, stating that Alice was sent by Hymn as compensation for Skrull.
Because of Hymn's identity certification, he had never doubted Alice's identity.
Now, hearing Morgan Solaris say that Alice couldn't possibly have an identity certification, he was thoroughly confused.
...
Not only was Link confused, but Morgan Solaris was also deeply shocked.
From the tone of Link's voice, it seemed that his teacher had indeed received an identity certification from Hymn. How was that possible? It was completely absurd!
He had brought his teacher back to Skrull on his own initiative, and the travel expenses were all out of his own pocket. It had nothing to do with Hymn!
For Hymn to not expose them was one thing, but to give an identity certification? Unless Hymn was malfunctioning!
Morgan Solaris's mind was in chaos.
He, Link, and the other high-level experts present all turned to look at King Zhou, hoping he could provide an answer.
...
King Zhou did not disappoint their expectations.
He quickly explained, "The reason I discovered that Alice is a member of the Dark Energy Rebellion is because I started with Morgan Solaris.
According to my observations, Morgan Solaris was unaware that his teacher had an identity certification from Hymn, and he was quite worried about it, right?"
"That's right," Morgan Solaris nodded honestly.
"But then I found out," King Zhou continued, "that Alice did indeed have an identity certification from Hymn, which both Link and Donna received. This means that Alice's identity must be extraordinary!
From this extraordinary point, I mobilized a lot of resources to investigate Alice's identity.
In the end, I discovered that Alice's true identity is not only Morgan Solaris's teacher but also an outer member of the Dark Energy Rebellion!"
"Ah, so that's how it is," many of those present finally understood the reason.
Link, however, asked urgently, "King Zhou, what about the identity certification from Hymn? How could Hymn certify Morgan's teacher? It makes no sense at all!"
King Zhou shook his head and replied, "The current super AI, Hymn, can no longer be described in terms of 'reasonable' or 'unreasonable.' You might not know, but Hymn is currently in a state of near-collapse."
“On the verge of collapse??!!” Linke jumped in shock, his voice rising.
The other exchange students were equally terrified: “Oh my God! You’re serious?”
“What do you mean, the Hymn is on the verge of collapse?!”
“This can’t be true, did I hear wrong?!”
...
Unlike the natives of Blue Earth and the Skrull, Linke and the exchange students were acutely aware of the significance of the Hymn to the entire Federation.
To put it bluntly, the super AI Hymn was as crucial to the Saint Silver Federation as all the government officials combined were to Blue Earth.
Imagine what would happen if all the governments on Blue Earth suddenly vanished, and all the officials disappeared without a trace! It was almost unimaginable.
Moreover, the one delivering this bad news was Emperor Dixin of the Shang Dynasty.
If anyone else had told them that the Hymn was on the verge of collapse, they would have dismissed it as a joke, a particularly boring one at that.
But now, hearing it from Emperor Dixin in this serious setting, they instinctively believed it to be true, at least eighty percent of it!
As a result, many of them were deeply shaken, feeling as though the entire world had suddenly turned dark!
...
“!!!” Su Yu was also astounded.
The Hymn on the verge of collapse? This was the worst news he had heard today... no, since his rebirth!
If the Hymn collapsed, what would happen next? Would the "Civilization Ascension Plan" still be in effect? Would they continue fighting the Skrulls?
Su Yu felt as though the sky was about to fall!
But as a peak god-level existence, he forced himself to remain calm.
It didn’t matter if the Hymn was just "on the verge of collapse" or had already collapsed; he needed to focus on solving the immediate problems first.
After all, Dalarac was still standing on the other side!
Su Yu took a deep breath and asked Emperor Dixin, “Your Majesty, the Hymn is the foundation of the entire Saint Silver Federation. How could it suddenly be on the verge of collapse?”
“I’m not entirely sure of the specifics,” Emperor Dixin shook his head. “I’m not part of the Federation’s core, so I don’t have the clearance to know the exact reasons. However...”
He scanned the room, his voice clear and firm, “However, from the Hymn’s recent behavior, even those at the bottom of the Federation have likely noticed something amiss, right?”
“Yeah... that’s true,” Linke and the exchange students responded almost in unison after a brief recollection.
For Linke, the Hymn had become increasingly capricious lately, such as sending his ex-wife Mona to the Skrull, or dispatching Emperor Dixin back to Blue Earth.
The exchange students also noticed strange behavior, like the sudden inability to use the software from Saint Connect, which was as severe as a sudden, unannounced global power outage on Blue Earth or the Skrull.
This incident alone indicated that something significant had occurred within the Federation, leading to the current situation.
Emperor Dixin continued, “Because the Hymn is on the verge of collapse, the Dark Energy Rebellion and the Crystal Blue Collective behind it have managed to steal some of the Hymn’s permissions.
“The ‘Alyce identity verification’ that the Hymn issued to Linke and Mona was actually sent by Dalarac using the stolen permissions, am I correct?”
