Placido’s magic card was inserted into his Duel Disk, and a shimmering aurora appeared in the sky above the ghost he controlled, its colors dazzling.
“Aurora Draw can only be activated when this is the only card in my hand. Draw two cards from my deck!”
Placido drew two cards, glanced at them, narrowed his eyes slightly, and then selected one to place face-down.
“Place a card face-down in the back row, and the next card is also a Magic Card, ‘Aurora Draw’!

Placido activated Aurora Draw twice in quick succession, drawing a total of four cards.

The core of the Mech Emperor, which was also its energy source, was its weak point. If the monster with “∞” in its name was not on the field, all other parts of the Mech Emperor would self-destruct.
Thus, destroying the core would mean destroying the entire Mech Emperor.

Placido manipulated the ghost to discard his hand and draw again.

The background of the field suddenly changed. The night sky instantly turned into a starry expanse, and the highway beneath their feet became complete darkness, with stars twinkling in the pitch-black backdrop.
"While 'Macrocosm' is on the field, all cards sent to the Graveyard by either player are not sent to the Graveyard but are instead banished from play."

In the next moment, boiling lava surged up from beneath his feet. The scalding liquid hissed and enveloped the Mind's mainframe entirely.
The burning lava instantly melted the Mech Emperor's alloy, and the remaining parts of the Mech Emperor disintegrated with a series of crashes.
A massive, burning hand slammed into the ground, leaving a charred black imprint. An abstract giant slowly rose from the burning pit, its eyes hollow and black. A dark cage trapped Placido within, and droplets of lava fell, burning black holes in the ground before him.
