Chapter 1130: Do You Think I Was Playing in the Mud in East Blue at His Age!
Chapter 1130: Do You Think I Was Playing in the Mud in East Blue at His Age!
The light from the image reflected onto everyone’s faces.
Sakazuki clenched his fist slightly as he stared at the large photograph displayed on the screen.
Hibari rested her chin on her hands, the screen’s glow illuminating her profile as she glanced sideways at the photograph, her expression unreadable.
Aokiji snorted coldly, "Pirate."
Togeko remained silent, merely gripping the hilt at his waist.
Storbery narrowed his eyes, his expression growing serious.
Kuro pulled out a cigar, lit it, and exhaled a plume of smoke before asking, "Three days ago? Is this photo credible? Who took it?"
Blamenco replied, "The photo comes from the CP0 organization in Wano Country. It’s completely authentic. They witnessed the combat firsthand and conducted the assessment accordingly."
As for why CP0 was in Wano Country—
World Government affairs were no secret to the Navy, and they’d long grown accustomed to such matters.
This, at the very least, was a reliable intelligence source.
"Continue", Kuro said.
"At once. The combat has continued until now and is still ongoing. Among what we’ve confirmed—"
Blamenco turned back to the screen, where the images rapidly shifted. They all depicted intense battle scenes between the two Four Emperors and Luffy’s alliance.
There were clips of Kaido transforming into his dragon form, his defense shattered by Killer, followed by Luffy punching him down. Others showed Charlotte·Big Mom clashing with Eustass Kid and Law.
"The battle escalated into a stalemate. Initially, Luffy’s alliance couldn’t withstand the two Four Emperors, but the tide eventually shifted with the arrival of this individual."
Blamenco switched the image. A new scene emerged—Kaido fighting a woman with white hair, horns, and wielding the Wolf’s Spirit Thundercloud.
"Who’s that?" Hibari asked.
"Yamato."
Blamenco explained, "Kaido’s daughter, who claims to be his son. Her strength is formidable. According to CP0 reports, this offspring of Kaido vehemently declared inheriting Kozuki Oden’s legacy, vowing to become the new Kozuki Oden, and engaged Kaido in fierce combat."
"Kozuki Oden", Hibari mused, her eyes widening suddenly. "That pirate from Wano Country, the one Roger and Whitebeard once praised? A samurai?"
"It must be him. Yamato’s intervention turned the battle. Luffy and Yamato joined forces, gradually gaining the upper hand. Meanwhile, two of Kaido’s Triad Calamities—‘Scorching Disaster’ King and Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro—clashed in battle, while ‘Plague’ Quinn faced off against ‘Black Leg’ Sanji."
The screen shifted again, displaying two scenes simultaneously. One showed Zoro fighting King, who resembled a colossal black rat. The other depicted Quinn slashing at Sanji, only for the attack to be deflected by Sanji’s defense.
"Deflected?" Togeko asked. "Does ‘Black Leg’ Sanji really have that powerful a defense?"
"Sanji’s a Vinsmoke cyborg. That level of defensive power is entirely plausible", Aokiji said.
"Furthermore, Marco-led Whitebeard remnants have formally entered Wano Country, declaring war against the Big Mom Pirates and Beasts Pirates", Blamenco added.
"Marco?"
Storbery frowned. "He’s been missing for ages. How did he suddenly reappear?"
Kuro bit his cigar. "Strange. After Old Man Akainu severely wounded Marshall D. Teach, Marco should’ve been chasing Teach’s trail. What’s he doing stirring up trouble in Wano Country?"
"That’s unknown. But according to intelligence, it might relate to the two Pelt Clan captains from Zou—or even Kozuki Oden’s influence."
Blamenco continued switching images. "Three days of relentless combat shifted the tide. Kaido sustained injuries from Luffy and Yamato’s combined assault, and Big Mom—"
The screen revealed a scene: Law, using his Long Blade, stabbed through Charlotte·Big Mom from behind. Countless weapons and even steel reinforcements from nearby structures ripped free, hurling toward Big Mom. Below her stood Eustass Kid.
"Big Mom was left in disarray by Law and Kid’s joint attack. Simultaneously, Kaido’s ‘Six Crimson Stars’ suffered defeats. With Marco’s aid, their pirate crews are now crumbling."
Blamenco concluded, "Based on these field reports, CP0 assesses that Kaido and Charlotte·Big Mom’s alliance faces a significant risk of defeat."
"Nonsense!" Kuro snapped, grinding his teeth. "This analysis is utter garbage! On what grounds? Damn it, how could they grow this strong in such a short time?"
How long had it been?
Luffy’s group had been in Wano Country for barely a year. Half a year ago, they were still hiding like mice in shadows. Now they could challenge Four Emperors head-on?
Kuro wasn’t belittling them—but this defied logic.
"Geniuses exist everywhere, and he is Garp’s grandson", Hibari said calmly.
"You’re still young yourself, Kuro."
"Back when I was his age, I was playing in the mud in East Blue!" Kuro retorted immediately.
"I started cultivation at six! Fine, even if Luffy’s innate talent is extraordinary, even if he began training from birth, the timeframe is still impossible! At his age, I wasn’t a match for the Seven Warlords of the Sea, let alone Kaido. How could he be assessed as capable of challenging two Four Emperors after just months in Wano Country?"
How old was Kuro now?
Twenty-eight.
He’d joined the Grand Line at twenty-four, four years ago. Now, at twenty-eight, Luffy?
Luffy had set sail at sixteen. He was twenty now.
Twenty.
Twenty years old and defeating Kaido?
Was he destined to rule the Grand Line?
Kuro prided himself on his own innate talent. Though most of his swordsmanship techniques were reconstructed using the Shinmeiryu Style template combined with past-life memories, his ability to replicate them was itself a talent—a natural gift for swordsmanship he’d never doubted.
After all, he was now the World’s Greatest Swordsman!
Yet even he never imagined defeating Kaido or Charlotte·Big Mom. Everyone had their limits. How could someone claim victory so easily? Those adversaries had spent decades cultivating—did they just sit idly by?
Anyone who lacked basic reverence for the Grand Line had already sunk into the sea, devoured by beasts.
"That’s why we’re here to analyze, not rant", Hibari said. "Don’t let pride cloud your judgment, Kuro. Calm down."
This newly promoted Admiral was proud, like all traditional Navy officers. His qualifications were justified—his strength, combat record, and current status earned him that right.
But now, analysis—not blind denial—was what they needed.
Kuro stared at the photo on the screen, cigarette clenched between his teeth, taking a deep breath. "My analysis says it’s absolutely impossible. This assessment is flawed. CP0’s evaluation is baseless—they’re overstepping their authority."
"But High Command sees it differently. And—" Hibari’s gaze lingered on the photo of Luffy’s punch felling Kaido, her expression unreadable.
"This boy’s miracles defy conventional logic. We’d be foolish not to prepare accordingly."
