Chapter 1107: Desperate Measures
Chapter 1107: Desperate Measures
Plaut and Manina III noticed the confusion on Morgan's face, but they remained calm.
Plaut explained calmly, "Morgan, you must have realized by now that we can't possibly advance to the planetary level through the 'Civilization Ascension Program,' right?"
"Right, no matter how you look at it, there's just not enough time," Morgan nodded honestly.
Plaut's eyes suddenly became exceptionally sharp. "Since there isn't enough time, we have to resort to desperate measures!"
"Desperate measures? What kind of desperate measures could there be?" Morgan was utterly bewildered.
But suddenly, a bolt of lightning struck in Morgan's mind! He thought of another possibility!
"Wait! When you say 'desperate measures,' you don't mean... joining the Dark Energy Rebellion, do you?!!!" Morgan considered this outrageous possibility.
Currently, the Skrulls could only interact with two major galactic powers: the Holy Silver Federation and the Dark Energy Rebellion.
Since the 'Civilization Ascension Program' of the Holy Silver Federation was a dead end, and Plaut and Manina III didn't want to meet their end, they had no choice but to take the dark path of the Dark Energy Rebellion.
Seeing Morgan's stunned expression, Alice's lips curled into a smile.
She giggled, "Hehe, you're as smart as I thought, my student! Yes, this 'dark path' is the Dark Energy Rebellion."
Alice waved her hand, and a deep purple diamond emblem appeared in the center of her forehead.
The diamond emblem emitted a long purple light wave, with intricate patterns etched on it. The patterns swirled in the purple light, as if exerting a mesmerizing force.
Not just Alice, Plaut and Manina III simultaneously waved their hands, and identical purple emblems appeared on their foreheads, just like Alice's.
Seeing these three emblems, Morgan immediately understood—Plaut and the old patriarch had already joined the Dark Energy Rebellion, now aligning themselves with the Holy Silver Federation's rebel forces.
Alice also smiled, "Student, the three of us are now part of the Dark Energy Rebellion. The choice is yours now."
"This..." Morgan's brain froze again. The situation had shifted too quickly for him to process.
Morgan was a student of the Holy Silver Federation, having studied there for decades. He was well-versed in the Holy Silver Federation and the various rebel organizations.
He had long heard of the Dark Energy Rebellion's darkness, bloodshed, and brutality, always assuming it was a group of madmen banded together.
Now, suddenly, he was being asked to betray the Holy Silver Federation and join the Dark Energy Rebellion. How could he possibly accept that?
But he glanced at Alice, Plaut, and the old patriarch.
Given the current situation, Morgan could only manage a bitter smile. "What choice do I have to say 'no'? Teachers, old patriarch, Lord Plaut, if I say 'no,' it means certain death for me, right?"
"Hehe, I knew you were a smart one!" Alice laughed, her eyes curving into two new moons.
Manina III stepped up to Morgan, gently patting his shoulder in a kind manner.
"Morgan, this is actually for your own good. Do you really think you have a chance of defeating seven equal civilizations in the 'Civilization Ascension Program'?
You must understand that the civilizations that come after are not as naive and innocent as the Blue Planet's inhabitants. They are extremely fierce and brutal! We Skrulls can't make it through!"
"Your old patriarch is right," Plaut added. "I know more about the various races of Skrull than you do. It's almost impossible for our planet to pass through all seven rounds of the 'Civilization Ascension Program.'
And given the current situation, joining the Dark Energy Rebellion is our best opportunity."
