Chapter 1103: I'm Going to Pound You to a Pulp!
Chapter 1103: I’m Going to Pound You to a Pulp!
Completely ignoring the raging William and Sazil, Kuro swept his gaze over the crowd, his brow furrowing deeply.
“Where’s that world noble?”
Moer shrugged with a shake of his head—the answer was obvious.
Not that he needed to ask. The battlefield was littered with shattered skulls and splattered brains. The world noble’s fate spoke for itself.
But this wasn’t Kuro’s biggest concern. What truly troubled him were the civilians and soldiers committing indiscriminate slaughter around them.
Kuro’s hand rested on the hilt of Autumn Water at his waist. With one swift motion, he unsheathed the blade and slashed it forward.
“Pressure Crush!”
A ruthless Killing Intent surged forth like a tidal wave from the moment he drew his blade, crashing over the slaughterers. Yet, as the Killing Intent swept through, they continued their carnage without the slightest hesitation, utterly unaffected.
“Is the Killing Intent useless?” Kuro frowned.
Moer crouched atop his anchoring point, tossing a stone as he spoke. “They seem to’ve lost their will entirely, controlled by some ability. But I can’t pinpoint the source. The ability’s activation, though, seems to originate from the ground itself.”
“So those two idiots are also under its influence?”
Kuro hadn’t set foot on the ground earlier. His instincts had warned him something was wrong, so he’d held back.
“Precisely. They’re trapped in a frenzy of rage and resentment—like the old ‘Seven Sins’.”
Moer had encountered similar organizations before. These people were clearly undergoing the same emotional distortions as those afflicted by the Seven Sins.
“Find the Devil Fruit user and eliminate him. That’ll end this,” Moer advised.
Kuro sighed, tightening his grip on Autumn Water. “Can’t these people just keep it together? If they’re pirates, what’s the point of this chaos?”
“Kuro!”
Suddenly, Sazil bellowed like a beast, charging forward with twin fists raised. “I’ll prove to you only I deserve the name Kuro!”
His fists compressed the air itself, generating a massive pressure wave that roared toward Kuro.
“Has this kid lost his mind? Even under emotional manipulation, he shouldn’t dare attack me like this…”
Kuro tightened his grip on Autumn Water, eyes narrowing as he prepared to counter. But in a blink, a jet-black shadow blurred forward at extreme speed, kicking up a trail of smoke and dust. It materialized directly before Sazil.
Boom!
The air-pressure-laden fist slammed into the black shadow.
“Well done, Sazil! Excellent work!”
It was Klah, now partially transformed into a werewolf. His claws blocked Sazil’s fists as he gritted his teeth, growling with fury.
Klah’s speed couldn’t match Moer or Kuro’s, but the moment they moved, he’d reacted just as swiftly.
He’d witnessed the massacre unfolding like a meat grinder, his scalp crawling. A nationwide riot like this—unless the world noble had collapsed, the Navy would’ve ignored it entirely. They were deeply embarrassed by the spectacle.
Yet just as Klah started calculating the crisis, he saw his subordinate launching fists at Kuro. It sent shockwaves through him.
What was this?!
Was this an attack? On Kuro?
It was a slap to Kuro’s face! A slap to his face! A slap to the entire Navy’s dignity!
“Klah first, Klah!”
Sazil glared at Klah with bloodshot eyes, his lips curling into a malevolent grin. “Perfect. I’ve been looking for you. Enjoying beating me up every day, huh? Today, I’ll be the one teaching you a lesson!”
Klah’s temple twitched with a thin black line. “You idiot—do you even know what you’re saying?!”
“Of course! Beat you senseless!”
Bang!
Before Sazil finished speaking, Klah’s fist shot forward like an afterimage, slamming into Sazil’s face. The punch drove him downward, burying him into the earth with a crater.
“Do you even understand what you’ve done, you fool?! Have you quit the Navy?!”
Klah roared in fury, then turned to Kuro. “Kuromr., I’ll handle my subordinates. No need for your intervention. I’ll make him understand.”
Kuro spat out a cigar plume of smoke. “Then sober this idiot up. What a mess—sent to complete a mission, only to become the mission. Pathetic.”
“You bastard!”
Sazil staggered upright, his body wobbling from the punch’s force. Shaking his head, he reared back his arms.
“Impact Tide!”
Bang!
Klah didn’t hold back. As Sazil’s arms recoiled, he drove a fist straight into his abdomen, sinking deep into his gut. Sazil choked out a gurgling gasp, his body folding like paper.
“Unforgivable!!”
Snarling, Sazil gritted his teeth through the pain, forcing himself upright. A strange force erupted from his body, blasting Klah’s fist away. Twin fists swung wildly, unleashing chaotic airwaves.
“Air Bullet!”
The compressed airwaves flew like bullets at Klah. At point-blank range, Klah couldn’t dodge—his body absorbed the impacts, each strike cracking like thunder across his frame, forcing him backward.
“Hah! Eat that!”
Sazil roared with laughter. “No more ‘Sazil’! From now on, call me Kuro! No—call me Kuroofficer!”
Klah steadied himself, smoke rising from his battered frame. His expression darkened.
“This… is all you’ve got? This is what it takes to knock some sense into you? Looks like I’ll need something stronger!”
His voice grew guttural as he inhaled sharply. With a shriek, his clothes burst outward, sprouting thick black fur.
“This time, I’ll show you real pain!”
His figure expanded, growing into a five-meter-tall werewolf, fangs bared as he let out a bloodcurdling roar. The stench of blood blasted Sazil’s robes and hair backward.
“Brace yourself, Sazil! This special training will kill you!!”
The monstrous form froze Sazil momentarily, the crimson in his eyes flickering faintly.
A spark of consciousness stirred beneath his rage and resentment.
Wasn’t this… his superior officer? The one who’d always drilled him?
Wrong! What superior?!
The crimson flared again, consuming his thoughts. Sazil raised both hands, seizing the very air above him.
“I’ve got to beat you senseless!”
With a mighty roar, he slammed his fists downward, dragging a colossal wall of air crashing toward Klah.
“Oooh~”
Kuro raised an eyebrow from behind. “Now that’s impressive. Sazil actually tapped into something here. Guess he did hear us after all.”
“Bartolomeo’s Bear style?”
Moer’s voice carried surprise. “That’s a terrifying technique. Does Sazil really have that potential?”
“Not bad. You two might be insufferable—superlatively insufferable—but your raw talent? Acceptable.”
