Chapter 110: Hals' Curious Magic Item Shop
Chapter 110: Hals' Curious Magic Item Shop
" Why are some pages missing from this book?" Aisia noticed that crucial pages had been torn out as she flipped through it.
"I didn't feel safe keeping it around, so I tore out the key pages and burned them. The specific fusion method is only recorded in my mind", Ivan thought for a moment but didn't tell the truth, as he couldn't explain how he obtained the recipe for the Bloodline Fusion Potion.
Aisia nodded. This level of confidential information should be known by as few people as possible. Ivan's cautious approach, though a bit excessive, wasn't wrong.
But after some thought, Aisia realized something was off.
"So, you just found a random book in the Restricted Section and dared to follow its method to fuse your bloodline?"
"Did you forget how I taught you? What if the content was just nonsense?" Aisia angrily pinched Ivan's cheek, fuming.
"But the book made a lot of sense", Ivan said dejectedly, inwardly complaining that he couldn't say the system had confirmed it.
Besides, he was trying to improve his strength to stay alive.
Aisia didn't know what Ivan was thinking. She lectured him for over half an hour without stopping.
After reading *Origin of Bloodlines*, Aisia understood the risks involved. To her, the fact that Ivan was still standing here was purely a result of incredibly good luck.
Only after scolding him until she was hoarse did Aisia stop and ask about Ivan's physical condition after fusing with Unicorn Blood, inquiring if he had experienced any discomfort.
"No, it's even better than I imagined", Ivan quickly shook his head and patted his chest, indicating that after fusing his bloodline, his talent had skyrocketed, and his strength had rapidly improved.
He could significantly increase his mental processing speed just by focusing, learning various spells effortlessly, though it was quite draining (in terms of academic points).
Ivan almost attributed all the unusual phenomena in his body to the bloodline fusion.
Aisia, though somewhat skeptical, couldn't deny the benefits of bloodline fusion, as the facts were right in front of her. After all, *Origin of Bloodlines* did mention that this method could enhance a Wizard's talent.
"So, Douglas said that the mysterious spell you used to defeat the Enforcement Squad was a new Bloodline Magic you gained?" Aisia took a long time to fully digest this information before remembering this detail.
"Yes, it's this Guardian Summon!" Ivan waved his Wand, demonstrating his Bloodline Magic—Shadow Unicorn—for the first time in front of Aisia!
Strands of white mist emerged from the tip of his Wand, eventually converging into a ethereal and holy creature.
It stepped through the air, surrounded by white mist and light, its neck held high, radiating a powerful aura.
With a thought from Ivan, the ethereal Patronus charged toward the table and chairs on the right, moving as fast as lightning, leaving a long white trail in the air.
In an instant, it reached a chair, its ethereal body passing through it, then solidifying and using its spiral horn to topple the oak table behind it. In the next second, it passed through another chair.
Aisia watched intently, though she had heard Douglas boast about how powerful this spell was, seeing Ivan demonstrate it revealed its true strength.
Such an attack pattern is virtually impossible to defend against. Any Wizard who is unfamiliar with this Bloodline Magic would likely suffer a significant loss.
It's no wonder those Enforcers from the Wizard Market were defeated by this magic.
Aisia even doubted whether she could defeat her son now.
"Unfortunately, the physical manifestation consumes too much Magic Power. I can't use it many times", Ivan said, not feeling particularly bothered. Instead, he was quite dissatisfied with the massive Magic Power consumption of the Bloodline Magic, which left him feeling drained after each battle.
"Your Magic Power will naturally increase as you grow", Aisia rolled her eyes and said. How could such a powerful magic not have its limitations?
Ivan nodded helplessly, but the natural increase in Magic Power was indeed too slow.
However, demonstrating the Bloodline Magic and showing him the book Origin of Bloodlines were only to dispel Aisia's doubts. At least the purpose had been achieved.
So, Ivan pressed on with the question that had been bothering him.
"Since the Ministry of Magic is thoroughly investigating the proliferation of Dark Magic Items, why don't we just create some defensive or auxiliary magic items?"
Like the Crescent Pendant you gave me.
Ivan wanted to add this but remembered that the pendant was already damaged, so he kept his mouth shut.
"It's not as simple as you think. You'll understand when I teach you Ancient Runes tomorrow", Aisia shook her head and continued.
"For now, let's clean up the Dark Magic Items in the shop."
Ivan could only carry his doubts and help Aisia take everything off the shelves, storing them in the large crate in the basement, ready to be moved to another place later.
During the process, Ivan didn't hesitate to handle these Dark Magic Items, using the system's identification function to easily see their effects.
Most were Curses or trigger-based, with a variety of bizarre effects. There was a beautiful ring that brought bad luck to the wearer for a while, and a fake hand that triggered Corrosion Magic when infused with Magic Power, which left Ivan marveling.
If he could outfit himself with magic items like Aisia, and combine them with the Bloodline Magic Shadow Unicorn, he would have the confidence to face and defeat some Dark Wizards in a direct confrontation!
He wouldn't need to always stay in the shadows, taking cheap shots.
This was also why Ivan had always wanted to learn magic item creation from Aisia.
After putting the last Skull-Shaped Magic Sculpture in the basement, Ivan came out to see Aisia standing by the door, a wooden sign next to her.
Ivan curiously walked out and saw that the wooden sign was covered in dirt and dust, probably having been left there for a long time.
"Scourgify!" Aisia pointed her Wand at it, and in no time, the dust and dirt were stripped away, revealing the words underneath.
Hals' Curious Magic Item Shop?
Ivan stared at it, unable to look away.
What kind of bizarre name is this?
