Chapter 11: Class President Tu Jiaojiao
Chapter 11: Class President Tu Jiaojiao
When Li Qian returned home, it was already past 10:30 in the evening. Since he hadn't come back, his parents were still awake and waiting for him in the living room.
As he opened the door, he saw his parents sitting on the sofa in the living room, clearly waiting for him. Li Qian felt a little embarrassed and said, "Dad, Mom, you're still up?"
To be honest, Li Qian didn't want to see his parents worrying about him, but in order to train Ah Fu and help it master the Climb Waterfall Technique, as well as train Qizi and improve its Climb Waterfall Technique level, he had no choice but to go out.
"It's so late, and you still haven't come back. How can we sleep?" Mother Han Yuying waved at Li Qian and motioned for him to sit next to her. She spoke with concern.
"Mom, I'm fine," Li Qian smiled and pointed to the location of the aquarium, "I took Ah Fu out for training. I want to help it evolve."
As he spoke, his tone became a little dejected, "Ah Fu is already quite old, and if it still can't evolve, it probably won't live much longer."
"There's no problem with taking Ah Fu out for training, but don't stay out too late. You're just a kid, and it's too dangerous to be out there alone." Father Li Chengyang spoke up, "Not to mention the bad people, there are still wild Pet Beasts outside the city, and some of them will even actively attack humans."
"Dad, I'm already eighteen. I'm not a kid anymore," Li Qian defended himself, "Besides, the place I'm going isn't far. It's just the Ling Water River in the western suburbs, near the hydroelectric station. There are always management personnel there, so there won't be any danger."
"The hydroelectric station? That's not far, but it's still a bit dangerous. Starting tomorrow, after work, I'll have Territory Bear go and protect you, and then come back with you later." Li Chengyang was still a little worried, so he made this arrangement.
Han Yuying got up from the sofa and walked towards the kitchen, sharing her thoughts, "Your Territory Bear has already reached the Elite Seventh Stage, but it's a bit slow. My Gray Bean Dove is only at the Elite Third Stage, but it can fly, and it's much faster than Territory Bear. It can also handle most situations, so after work, I'll have Gray Bean Dove go with you."
"That works too," Li Qian couldn't argue with them, and this would put their minds at ease.
Additionally, after work, Gray Bean Dove wouldn't have any work tasks, so it wouldn't affect his mother's work, making it a win-win solution.
The only regret was that due to their family's financial limitations, neither Father Li Chengyang nor Mother Han Yuying, despite both being Beastmasters at the Elite level, with Li Chengyang even reaching the Elite Seventh Stage, had a second contracted Pet Beast.
There was no way. Aside from the cost of raising a second Pet Beast, just the expense of purchasing one was beyond their means.
"By the way, you haven't had dinner yet, have you?" Mother Han Yuying walked into the kitchen and uncovered the food in the pot.
Li Qian followed her into the kitchen and looked at the food in the pot, his appetite piqued, "I took two sandwiches out to eat, but I'm actually a bit hungry now. Mom, your cooking is just too delicious, it makes me hungry just looking at it."
"If you're hungry, eat more. Just put the bowl and chopsticks in the pot when you're done," Han Yuying instructed him before leaving the kitchen.
Li Qian stayed in the kitchen and took out the food, sitting at a small table and enjoying his meal.
"This child, could he really be researching the evolution of carp?" Han Yuying walked out of the kitchen, and Li Qian's father spoke up.
"Whether he's researching the evolution of carp or wants to experience being a Beastmaster early, it doesn't matter as long as he's happy." Han Yuying spoke with a caring tone, "Since we can't provide him with better conditions, it's better to let him grow freely."
"Qian has always been sensible. I believe he won't do anything reckless."
Li Chengyang nodded in agreement, "That's true."
The next day, early in the morning after breakfast, Li Qian first detoured to check on Qizi and Ah Fu at the artificial waterfall before heading to school.
There was a Breeding Class in the morning, and Li Qian was still puzzled, hoping to find some answers. Of course, he wouldn't miss this class.
Coincidentally, Teacher Chu Xiran was also teaching about alchemy knowledge today.
"Our most important duty as breeders is to utilize all resources to help Pet Beasts grow and achieve greater success." Teacher Chu Xiran's voice was like a flowing stream, "And potions are an extremely important resource."
"Speaking of potions, the term actually consists of two words, 'medicine' and 'agent'. 'Medicine' refers to elixirs and pills, while 'agent' refers to reagents..."
Teacher Chu Xiran explained in detail, sharing a lot of basic knowledge about alchemy. Although it didn't give Li Qian any inspiration for his research tasks, he still felt he had gained a lot.
In the afternoon, there were cultural classes like language, math, and foreign languages. These classes were undoubtedly useful, but for Li Qian at this moment, they weren't very helpful, so he didn't pay much attention and instead focused on the materials given to him by Gao Yaxin.
In fact, not just him, there were very few students who paid attention in these cultural classes.
Time flew by, and as soon as it was past 1:00 PM, Li Qian, just like the day before, couldn't wait to leave the classroom.
An Paozi noticed this and slightly frowned.
He naturally knew what Li Qian was up to, but seeing him being so rushed made him both puzzled and a little worried.
Aside from An Paozi, there was one other person who noticed Li Qian's unusual behavior over the past two days, and that person was none other than the class president of Class 5 in Senior 3, Tu Jiaojiao.
She stared in the direction Li Qian had left, deep in thought flashing through her eyes, and then a glimmer of sympathy and pity appeared in her gaze.
She had heard that Li Qian's family situation wasn't great, and at this crucial time, right before graduation, he probably wanted to take up a part-time job to earn money and buy Psychic Energy Potions. She decided to observe Li Qian for a while, and if he continued in this state, she would offer help within her capabilities.
