The green-haired boy scrambled to his feet, stammering apologetically.
The child who had just called out to him rushed over, muttering, "I told you to slow down, Longya. Now look, you've bumped into someone."
The child wearing glasses looked to be about the same age as Longya, both of them appearing to be elementary school students.
"Sorry, sir."
Longya ducked his head, apologizing to "Director Godwin."
Youxuan smiled, "No, it's fine."
"Right", Longya chuckled, scratching the back of his head. "But, sir, you're really tough. I thought I hit a steel plate when I bumped into you just now."
Longya is one of the main characters, the sixth Dragon Marked who awakens much later in the story. However, that's near the end; for now, he's just an ordinary teenager.
His twin sister, Longo, on the other hand, is a genuine Dragon Marked. She had visited the Spirit World at the age of three and made a pact to protect it. She is a prodigy with a talent for connecting with spirits, perhaps even surpassing Jou.
However, Longo is quite reclusive, rarely leaving her home. Longya, in contrast, is outgoing and sociable, with a particular love for Dueling.
If you invited Longo to a tournament, she would definitely refuse. But Longya would be eager to go and would likely drag his sister along.
The glasses-wearing elementary school student looked at Youxuan for a moment, then suddenly remembered something, his face changing. He quickly pulled Longya aside. "Hey, you just bumped into someone really important."
"I've seen him on TV. He's the Director of the Security Maintenance Bureau."
"Eh?"
Longya was shocked.
"Such an important person!?"
But the next moment, his eyes lit up, and he turned to Youxuan with excitement.
"The Director of the Security Maintenance Bureau. That means you must know Jack, right!?"
"Jack?" Youxuan replied, "Jack Atlas, yes, I do."
At this stage, Longya is a huge fan of Jack. It's not surprising, given that the city has been tirelessly promoting Jack's unbeatable legend, and most Duel-loving kids in town are his fans.

"Great!"
Longya was thrilled.
"To avoid drawing a crowd, how about we go to my private Duel arena? It's much quieter there", Youxuan suggested.
Longya's eyes sparkled even more. "You have a private arena? That's awesome!"
Of course, Godwin has his own private arena. In fact, even the largest Duel arena in the city center is usually closed when the Security Maintenance Bureau isn't hosting an event, and no outsiders are allowed in. With Godwin's authority, he can use it whenever he wants.
Or, with his power, he could reserve any Duel arena in the city at any time.
Youxuan knew that Longya, being a child, is very simple and straightforward, with a deep passion for Dueling and a great admiration for strong Duelists. In the original story, he also insisted on challenging Yusei to a Duel and became a devoted follower after losing to him.
Longya, adhering to the simple principle that "anyone who plays cards well can't be a bad person", made communication quite easy. Youxuan knew that as long as he impressed with his Dueling skills, he would earn Longya's approval.

Longya leaped and shouted excitedly on the vast, open ground.

Longya was brimming with energy.

Being called "Uncle" by Longya felt a bit strange, but since he was currently disguised as Director Godwin, Youxuan accepted it to maintain his cover.
"Duel!" they both declared.

After a long moment of deliberation, Longya reluctantly discarded a card.
"I set a monster in Defense Position."
Youxuan waved his hand and covered a monster card.
"Then I set one more card in my back row, and my turn ends."
"Oh, then it's my turn!" Longya exclaimed, drawing a card.
For some reason, watching this lively Longya, Youxuan felt a sense of déjà vu, like he was seeing a young Jou from elementary school.

I summon 'Transforming Fighter: Recorder' in Attack Position!"
The first monster to be summoned was a red, box-shaped recorder. As soon as it landed, it began to transform, extending steel arms and legs, standing upright on the field.

"This way, after defeating a Defense Position monster, I can deal additional damage!

The recorder charged at Youxuan's covered monster. Youxuan simply smiled, watching without moving.
The cover card flipped, revealing a soft, white mass.

Cotton Candy: "I can handle this!"
The recorder slammed into the soft, squishy body of Cotton Candy and was immediately bounced back, stumbling backward.

"Ah! My Transforming Fighter has higher Attack!" Longya looked bewildered at his Life Points, "Why did my Life Points decrease!?"
