Why seven days? If Saint Song had already received the request, why not give the verdict immediately? Why drag it out for seven days? Could it be that Saint Song needed to conduct some kind of investigation, or was there another reason?

Upgrading the AI does enhance the AI itself, but the enhancements are in additional computational power.

"Blue Whale," Su Yu thought for a moment and then instructed, "Contact Donna and ask if we can negotiate with San Ge for a different compensation. At least something that would benefit the war, right?"
"That is not possible," AI Blue Whale immediately rejected the idea. "San Ge never accepts any negotiations. Moreover, the upgrade package offered by San Ge has already been transmitted through the quantum network, and I am about to initiate the upgrade procedure!"
